Have used Potomac River Arborists several times and have always been impressed by Tom Fitzgerald’s work ethic, reliability, and services!

Potomac River Arborists do a wonderful job at reasonable prices. They are quick to respond and are my go to company for keeping many trees healthy.

I used Potomac River Arborist to remove a large tree that was around wires and between two garages. They were extremely professional and removed everyhing safely and efficiently. I have now used them on several other smaller jobs with the same results. They are a well run company with great employees.

I love this company. They respond immediately -- within hours of the storm that brought down two enormous trees into our yard. They were there the next morning at 8 am, made a proposal, and were at our place the next morning by 8 am. There were, I think, 8 men, who worked non-stop for hours, cleared everything, put the furniture (some of it destroyed) back in place. They were meticulous.

Oh, did I mention they are extremely reasonable? It's a young family-owned company, they will match any price, but honestly, they charge far less to begin with. I'm shooting myself in the foot because everyone will want to hire them now... oh well, they deserve it.

I highly recommend Potomac River Arborists for your tree needs. Tom and company were extremely professional and courteous. Prices are competitive. They came when they said, worked efficiently and cleaned up nicely. Absolutely no complaints.

Tom and his team did a fantastic job pruning and shaping the trees on our property. Tom also was able to diagnose and treat a pesticide problem on our trees and give us next steps to ensure healthy growth. Very impressed with his expertise and would highly recommend.

Tom's team did a great job taking down our cherry tree in tight quarters on our rowhouse lot. We were away when the work was done, but came back to the tree gone, the stump ground, and all of the existing shrubbery untrampled. Their price was also half of the competition's. Recommend!

We contacted Potomac River Arborists on the recommendations of our neighbors. They did a magnificent job of pruning and shaping our trees. Tommy is (obviously) very knowledgeable, gave us useful advice, and took the time to answer all our questions. Their quote was lower than all the other bids we got and the crew cleaned up so thoroughly that we seriously considered paying extra for the "above and beyond" service they provided. Give them a call -- you won't regret it!

PRA came in to take down a tree and trim some others. I was a little worried for them because there was not much flat ground around the tree and the way to the tree was crowded, but they managed to do it without any complaint. The crew was friendly, professional and efficient.

I can’t say enough good things about Potomac River Arborists. The crew that performed the work was extremely professional. They did an excellent job with my tree removal and stump grinding, leaving the yard cleaner than they found it. This all came at a price lower than other quotes I received. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for future work!

Potomac River Arborists deserve every one of the 5 star reviews they receive. We recently sustained a LOT of downed limbs during a storm -- our yard was a mess, and the clean-up task seemed quite daunting to us. I contacted the company on a Sunday and by Monday morning, they had completed the job -- and completed it beautifully. We are so impressed and appreciative.

I used Potomac River Arborists to cut down and remove a very large, near dead tree located right next to my house and the street. The crew did a fantastic job from start to finish. They arrived on time and worked 10 hours. Considering how close the tree was to my house and my neighbor's, I felt total confidence all would be well. The crew worked as a team by communicating and exchanging ideas on the removal itself. They had specific roles within the team and helped one another. And they were kind and friendly to the passers-by and to me. Late in the day, the owner stopped by to check on his crew's work. Nice touch!

PRA did a fantastic job for us in cutting back our fig tree and removing a tree stump. Our fig tree is well-established and quite famous in the neighbourhood! Being its new owners we were nervous about maintaining it effectively. PRA advised on the work needed to help it fruit and keep its future growth as healthy as possible. The process from quoting to getting the work completed was very quick and easy. Everything now looks great and we will definitely use them in future and recommend them to others.

Tom Fitzgerald and his crew are efficient and demonstrated care and concern for our property adjacent to the tree being removed. The expertise was evident and worth the cost of the project. Another estimate was lower, but Potomac River Arborists instilled a high level of confidence and a sense of professionalism which we valued and appreciated. The team at Potomac River Arborists were absolutely great. They showed up on time for the estimate, and for the tree removal and trimming services. The arborist that came to assess my yard was super knowledgeable about the trees in my yard and what needed to be trimmed and what didn't. They were efficient and when they left, you wouldn't have noticed a wood chip in my yard!! They cleaned up the entire space and did a phenomenal job.
I feel much more safe because the dead trees are now down and my other trees are well taken care of and trimmed up.
I would recommend them to anyone in the area looking to have work done on your trees!
I will continue to use them in the future as well to help manage the trees in my yard.
