Our natural gas boiler needed to be replaced in the middle of winter. They sent a team that was able to do the job quickly and efficiently - during a snowstorm no less! There were a couple of needed tweaks after which they handled professionally and quickly.

I had called a different plumbing company that was having dispatching issues and tried to send two different plumbers who didn’t show up after waiting several hours. My neighbor had this company over to their house coincidentally fixing a drain issue. I asked the plumber if he could look at my drain when done and he fit me in. I had tried to snake the drain myself but couldn’t get past the block. This plumber was able to snake the drain, and used an apparatus he fixed to my hose to test the drain after snaking it. He was thorough and precise and tested it for a while til he was satisfied with its ability to drain. He also told me my drain is flat under the ground and suggested rebuilding it at an angle if I wanted to prevent the same issue from occurring.

Thomas E Clark and the lead pipe replacement team led by Das did a superb job from start to finish! Despite some serious complications along the way, the team did an expert job in minimizing the impact of the challenges and left our front yard in great shape despite all of the necessary digging! Thomas E Clark solved our gas conector line problem efficiently. I am very satisfied with the service, also I payed a very decent price for the service. Watch out for other “plumbers” charging insane amount of money and has no license.

I called Thomas Clark at 7am and by 7:15am I received a call from Lexie. She was friendly and so helpful. She had a technician out to my home within 1.5 hrs! Brian was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what needed to be done (a simple fix needed) and was done in 20 min. Brian was so pleasant and did an excellent job. Air conditioned stopped working on a 96 degree day. Despite heavy demand they were able to get to me quickly. Diagnosed problem and had it fixed in 45 minutes.

The plumber who fixed two of our toilets was not only competent and efficient, but he explained what he was doing in clear terms. He was also pleasant on a personal level. In addition, it was easy to make an early appointment for the work. We have used Thomas E. Clark for years -- new furnace last year, for example -- and have found them capable and consistent. Their prices are not out of line with others in the business, which is not to say cheap. We have no complaints.

I have used Thomas Clark over the years for plumbing, a/c and heating system work. They are always professional and do great work. They do what they say they will do and when they say they will do it. The team they sent to replace the old lead incoming water pipe to my house was great. They even did a great job cleaning up after having to dig a hole in the yard to find the pipe. On top of that the entire crew was courteous and nice to deal with. The office was great too, getting the permit process expedited and keeping me informed. The best service in the area.

I inherited a home from my father last year, because of his age and diminishing mobility, he had not able to maintain things as he would have liked, so there was much work needed to update A/C, Heating and plumbing. After getting several estimates, I hired Thomas E Clark to install new heating and A/C systems, they did a brilliant and thorough job. They recently helped me with a plumbing issue, they came out the same day, assessed and released the blockage, all within a few hours. We had a difficult leak because (1) the water was onlly apparent far from the actual pinhole in the pipe and (2) the leak stopped when the main water was shut *but* the leak would only reappear 45 minutes after turning the main water back on. The TE Clark plumber was persistent in finding the leak and did an excellent repair in a tight location with minimal dry wall removal.

We had a very complicated plumbing problem: replacing a 100 year-old main water shutoff valve. This required the team from Thomas E Clark to work carefully and quickly with the D.C. Water employee who had to turn off the water to our home and others in the neighborhood. Time was of the essence and the job had to be completed successfully so that we had control of our water supply in the event of an emergency. This team of plumbers stayed calm and focused on solving this difficult problem. Their plumbing work was A#1 and their attitude throughout was professional. We are very grateful to the people at Thomas E Clark who REALLY know how to fix things.

I was approved by DOEE (DC Govt.) for the Lead Pipe Replacement Assistance Program (LPRAP). No out-of-pocket cost for DC residents once approved. From the list of approved plumbers I chose Thomas E. Clark, Inc. (TEC, Inc.). They responded immediately and had a rep. come out the same day for an inspection and proposal (btw receptionist was very friendly and knowledgeable). TEC, Inc. worked with DC DPW, DDOT and DOB for permits and scheduling (total wait time was a little over 30 days from initial contact). I didn't have to do anything but sign a couple of emails. Pipe replacement was done today and took only 4 hours to complete. Work looks great, clean job. TEC, Inc. guys were very friendly, professional (worked well with DPW who were also on site) and took precautions not to make a mess (inside and out). They cleaned up any little mess that was made and left my home as if they had never come. They kept me informed during the entire process letting me know when the water would be off, for how long and when they expected to be finished with the work. Scope of work is detailed in the proposal which may include cosmetic repairs such as drywall, grass seeds, mulch etc., if applicable (which is done on 2nd day upon completion of DC inspection). I highly recommend this company. Excellent customer service from start to finish!!!

Had a leaking water pipe emergency right before the weekend and received same-day service. Job was done quickly and professionally, with patient detective work to identify the precise location of the leak before cutting the ceiling. Also kindly came back the next day to perform some additional needed repairs. Can highly recommend!

Strongly recommended. Company replaced lead water line into house with copper, which involved breaking up part of concrete basement floor. Project went seamlessly. Team was especially good about helping to prepare by moving interior furniture, was careful to avoid mud despite rainy weather, cleaned up afterward, and even spread grass seed and straw on front yard excavation.

We had excellent service. We turned our water off at the shutoff valve for a kitchen appliance installation and when we turned it back on again it leaked . We called and received timely service, which was a huge relief to us! They got the water turned off from the street and replaced what was probably the original shutoff valve in our 70 year old home. We’ve worked with different plumbers over the years and Clark is reliable and high quality.
