I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Capitol Chimney. I had known for a while that my fireplace needed servicing, but it kept getting pushed down my to-do list—until Hurricane Helene brought a leak into my home. Initially, I suspected it was from the roof, but it turned out my fireplace was waterlogged, with water entering from the chimney.

Roger was incredibly knowledgeable and provided an honest assessment without pushing unnecessary services. I appreciated his integrity; he didn’t try to upsell inserts, which would have saved him time and effort, but instead focused on what was truly needed. After doing my research, it was clear he was the best choice for my fireplace needs.

Now, after a complete fireplace rebuild, new insert, and opening, I can confidently say that it looks stunning—like a million bucks! The brickwork is so beautiful that I’ve decided not to paint it white to match the rest of the house.

They documented with pictures the work that needed to done. We think they did a very good job at a reasonable price. They also cleaned up well after work was completed. Consumer Checkbook gave them good ratings, which is why we selected them.

They did a great job on a complete fireplace repair (remove old tiles, place insert, replace cap with new damper; parge lthe fire chamber, and point up the chimney bricks). They will return to pressure wash the chimney and seal the bricks. In addition, they removed a very heavy wood burning stove insert from another fireplace. They completely covered the work area, sealing it off to prevent the spread of dust, and left the area as clean as they found it.
Moreover their price was significantly lower than ann estimate from another firm.

Used Capitol Chimney Service for inspection and cleaning. They were outstanding, reliable and easy to work with. They showed me what needed to be repaired in the fireplace and chimney, ordered parts, and scheduled service quickly. Their Office staff and workers were all polite and respectful. The repairs were not minor but it was the first work we needed in 35 years! They handled it extremely well, ensuring everything was done accurately. We had a tiny issue at the end and they resolved it cheerfully and immediately. I’ll be doing business with them and recommending to neighbors!

Great work and reasonably priced. Inspection and cleaning was $189. Compared to other companies, who are asking for $350! I was pleased with the pricing and service. Roger was great and explained what they were doing and why they were doing it. We will be using them again this Spring for additional work.

They showed up on time, did a great job of cleaning out my dryer vent that has a 15 foot run from the dryer to the outer wall. They removed 3 birds nests and enough lint to fill a trash bag. They also installed a cage over the outside vent to prevent the bird nest problem from happening again. Price was very reasonable and they cleaned up after themselves well! I recommend them and will employ them again.

I had a two unit system done along with five bathroom vents and the dryer vent. The guys were awesome. They were 15 minutes early and finished under the time quoted. I was very impressed with the quality of the job and the service of the employees.

They were actually early and texted me to see if it was okay if they arrived before their scheduled time. I said sure but they would have waited had I not. They explained to me what they were going to do and showed me the lint from my dryer vent after. They were very informative and professional and will call on them again in the Spring for all my duct cleaning. Thank you Duct Doctor!

They were on time and extremely professional. They gave me an estimate of 2 hrs to complete and they completed right at 2 hours on the dot. They explained the process and sent pictures of my gross vents before their thorough cleaning process and charged me exactly what was quoted. I had looked at another company that was offering a discount vent cleaning on Groupon but upon questioning what all was included they did not do the intake/output ductwork as part of their price, which was included in duct doctor's price. I would use duct doctor again for sure.

The Duct Doctor team did an excellent job of cleaning our ducts which had not been done in many years. When they departed all was cleaned up such that one would never know their crew had been in the house. We would recommend them for you duct cleaning needs.
