JECO was prompt when we needed someone to help us install a GFCI outlet with a 24 hour turn around. For that service, which took about 20 minutes, we were charged $350 dollars which seems super expensive to me. Honestly I feel bad giving them 3 stars but I thought it was very expensive, we were told it would be between $275 and $350, however We also provided the GFCI outlet so there were 0 costs in materials for them. The replaced outlet was also not returned, it was taken and that was not theirs to keep.

If the business can tell me why the installation was $350 instead of $275 and why the replaced outlet was taken I will increase one star.

We suddenly lost electricity on almost our entire second floor, with the exception of one outlet. I have a home office and really rely on internet and air conditioning units in this heat - and all were down. Mr. Jay arrived within 30 minutes. He asked me a series of questions, then went about diagnosing the problem. We have an older home with old wiring and he methodically tested various outlets until he found the problem and fixed it. He explained to me what he was doing every step of the way, which I found very reassuring. We had to move many household items to clear space, and he was careful and respectful while he went about his work. Mr. Jay was personable and professional. I was extremely satisfied with the service and the value. I will absolutely call upon this company and Mr. Jay again! Thank you!!

Mr. J was absolutely amazing! He was extremely professional, very communicative, and did the job extremely quick! He is truly a master of his trade and did an amazing job! He installed a track light and 9 electrical outlets for me, and was finished in a 1 1/2 day! Working with this business has been such a pleasure, from the moment I spoke with the lady in the office to schedule, Mr. J who did the work, and the quality of the work! I will certainly use them again if needed!

Mr. J and Johnson Electric were a delight to work with on important electrical repairs in our 1930’s DC home. Their professionalism, knowledge, efficiency, open and timely communication, cleanliness, and respect for our time and living space was on-point and a much appreciated. I want to start by saying I highly recommend their services. I was in need of an outlet conversion for my new dryer and had called other places that were weeks out on scheduling. When I called Johnson Electric, Michael was very responsive and was here the next day. He provided excellent and professional services and was very kind as well. Prompt response, sent a guy to fix a burst pipe that happened while diagnosing an electrical issue with my thermostat

I found this company through an internet search and contacted them to come out for an estimate. Mr. Johnson responded back immediately and was on site promptly at the agreed upon time. This was a vacant building on our property that had been vandalized for its copper and completely trashed along with other issues. Despite the horrendous conditions of the room where the transformer was located, he gave us a thorough initial assessment of what we were going to have to do to restore power. There were a TON of details, but his knowledge and experience made the complexity of the project easier to understand. My agency decided to go with an alternative solution, but I will not hesitate to reach out to this company again in the future.

Very expensive, $625 for 1.5 hours of work. Additionally installed an outlet that did not match the outlet cover. I had to ask specifically for the other one to match. Did not provide an itemized receipt. Overall bad attention to detail absolutely not trust them again.

Mr. Johnson and his team were ultimate professionals and completed the job with true professionalism - not signing off until I was pleased with the work. We had security cameras installed in the front and back of the house and they work great! Would definitely call on them again!!!

Michael with Johnson Electric replaced our sump pump within 24 hours after we discovered it was not doing its job. Michael was respectful and replaced it so quickly that no damage was done and for a reasonable price. He was easy to work with and quick to respond. Thank you so much for your help Michael!

Mr. Jay, Electrician with the Johnson Electrical Company was very thorough, polite and professional. We discussed why the light fixture was not working prior to his arrival. He arrived at the time specified with a replacement light fixture . He diagnosed the issue and determined that the light fixture indeed needed to be replaced. The job was completed within one hour.

Mr J replaced my electrical panel in the house as well as some other repairs. He was prompt, clear about what and how it needed to be done. He is knowledgeable and very fair. I intend to hire him again should a need arise and can recommend him to anyone in need of a professional electrician. Thank you!

Mr. Johnson has been our family's "go-to" electrician for years. We have an older colonial home. Years ago, Mr. Johnson performed a “heavy up,” increasing our home's electrical service capacity to run our newer appliances safely. More recently, Mr. Johnson performed the electrical work for the kitchen renovation. He installed dedicated circuits for several appliances (e.g., oven, microwave, refrigerator, etc.), recessed lights, under cabinet lights, and lights inside the glass cabinets. He also rewired, replaced and updated the old electrical outlets and installed a four plug outlet for heavy appliances. He arrived on time, was thorough and neat.

Mr. J did a great job replacing our smoke detectors! He provided a quick response and did great work. Will use him again!

I paid over $500 for an evaluation of meters associated wth a 4 unit apartment building. The electrician identified that one apartment had electricity but was not hooked up to a meter although we get biiled each month. A second apartment he identified was hooked up to the wrong apartment. He turned the lights off in the hallway from the meter turned them back on then couldn't identify which meter controlled the same lights. He told me to contact Pepco. The receipt he left has absolutely no documentation of what he found, so it cannot be used to correct the problem and no one from the company will contact me to resolve the issue although I have contacted the company twice. They have high reviews but the excellent service did not extend to my issue. I usually have very good experiences with local vendors, but not this time.

The owner of the company did not speak to me about any of the issues mentioned in the responses. I called twice to speak to the owner and received no response except through the review which is not my preference. The technician arrived on the wrong street because he said he couldn't find the building which is a corner building. He asked me to look for him and I told him I would wave my hands in the middle of the street only to see his truck a block away. I gave him my parking space because he said he was having trouble finding parking. Additionally, he initially told me that there was no meter to the apartment only to find one later. He turned off the lights to the hallway, then could not identify the meter that controlled the hallway lights. I was willing to allow him the time to find the meter, but he said he already took each meter off and I found it useless to argue. That was a source of frustration.
In the end, I have no report from the evaluation that will allow Pepco to fix the issue, after having the paying over $500 for it and I have to have it done again. I voiced this to the electrician, wrote the issue on the receipt and called the company to get no direct response which was unfortunate. As I said. I am sure that satisfactory service has been the bulk of the experiences, but it did not extend to me.

Mr. J did an outstanding job updating my electrical switch updated my wiring so I could safely use my new washer and dryer unit. He was professional, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was installed correctly. He explained the work clearly, answered all my questions, and left the space clean and secure. I truly appreciate his attention to detail and high-quality service. I will definitely be using him again to update my breaker box next year and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled electrician.

Great experience with Johnson Electric. I called in because I had several light fixtures that were faulty at my business. They got back to me right away and they came out same day to fix the problem. They were reasonable in price and reliable. I will be using them again for all my electrical needs in the area.

Do yourself a favor and don’t bother to call another electrician but Johnson Electric. Mr. J has been here all day hanging very challenging fixtures. He did whatever it took to complete the job with exquisite attention to every detail. Mission accomplished and I know for sure there is no one out there who could have done this job as professionally as it was. I’m thrilled with the final work. And he and his partner were a pleasure to work with.

Great work by Mr J of Jeco replacing a dining room light fixture. Timely, professional, thoughtful, and friendly. Asked all the right questions to ensure the work was done exactly how we wanted it right from the start.

Excellent service and was able to get same day service to resolve a basement electric issue. The tech examined the entire system and notified of any additonal potential issues. Hands down excellent service will be using them for my other DC properties.

I had a great experience with this company, especially working with Jay. He came out on New Year’s Eve and got our electricity back efficiently. From start to finish, Jay was professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain what needed to be done, answered all my questions, and made sure everything was completed safely and correctly. The work was done on time and the quality of the job exceeded my expectations. It’s rare to find an electrician who is both skilled and genuinely cares about doing things the right way.
