Mr J was able to come to my house last minute, diagnose the issue and do the repair just a couple of days later. He really helped me in a pinch with timing and all that needed to be done. He was very personable, honest, and helped me understand what was happening. I really appreciate the service and recommend him to anyone. Thank you!!

A very disappointing experience, and we have tried to find a solution with the company, but since we haven’t had much luck, unfortunately have to leave this review.

We lost electricity in our daughter’s bedroom, and called for an electric to come see what the problem was and fix it. This company electrician comes, says oh you guys have an older electric box model (which we knew, we recently moved to this house). He refuses to look into the problem in our daughter’s room, and instead starts trying to sell us a new electric panel, electric meter and what not. He was talking very fast and it was overwhelming tbh. He then said ok now pay me for my visit, and I just venmoed him $225 literally for nothing. I asked him, ok, could you please send me like a one page report with all these details you mentioned so we can discuss at home and follow up with you. He leaves and says yes I will send you the report. I proceed waiting for 2 weeks for the report or any other follow up. Call the electrician, leave messages. Nothing. This whole time in the middle of a heatwave our daughter doesn’t have electricity in her room. We get fed up and call another electric from a different company, who fixes everything in less than nam hour and charges us three times less than what the previous one charged us for doing nothing. I then contacted the mentioned above electric company and tried to complain about the specific electric they sent and ask for reimbursement. They kept promising the electrician will contact me. He called me one time and promised to follow up but didn’t. He was also extremely rude on the phone. Every time I called since, he just hangs up the phone. Bottomline, this was incredibly disappointing and a waste of money, time and energy

I needed an electrician and decided to use Johnson Electric Company (JECO) more so because he was located in the Manor Park neighborhood. Mr. J called and gave me an estimate to hang two outdoor replacement fans and came out today to complete the work. He was professional, on time and performed an excellent job. I even sat outside and talked to Mr. J the entire time while he hung the fans! I appreciated how extremely knowledgeable he is and great personality. It's hard finding good tradesmen such as an Electrician to have around your home; however, I know for sure Mr. J will be my family's and friend's go-to person moving forward.

I’m writing to say that I highly recommend Mr Jay and Jeco Electric Company! I had blown an outlet late in the day! He came to my home first thing the next day! Mr Jay arrived on time, listened to what happened and explained the work he was doing. And how to not have it happen again!

Had such a great experience with Reggie and his company Jeco. I needed an electrician to install some security cameras after a recent break in. After getting the runaround from other companies Reggie came out gave me a quote and install the cameras the next day. So professional I will definitely use him again for any electrical work I may need.

Mr Johnson was an extremely knowledgeable electrician who knew exactly what the issue was immediately. The issue did involve replacing our electrical panel under the advice of Mr. Johnson. Mr. Johnson arrived on time the next day to change the panel. The service he provided was top notch in that he changed the panel quickly with an inmate knowledge on the process and procedure. His experience, professionalism, customer service and work are the best in the industry and I highly recommend Mr. Johnson for any electrical issues you may have.

I called JECO this morning to request a light fixture repair and light fixture installation, and Mr. Johnson was at my house by the afternoon. He was personable, knowledgeable, and proficient—not only fixing the problem but explaining to me why there was an issue. And the price was fair for the work. I think I’ve found my go-to electrician.

I called Johnson Electric for an emergency electrical issue for my home in D.C. Mr. J responded promptly and quickly assessed the situation and developed a plan to repair/ replace the faulty breakers with little disruption to my tenants. Mr. J took time to explain the issue and what needed to be done. Johnson Electric is now my go to for electrical issues and general home repairs.

I am a recent first time home owner and needed an electrician. I called Johnson Electric and Michael called me back within minutes and was able to come out and do an estimate the next day. I was very happy to find Michael at Johnson electric in Northwest DC. He came to us within an hour and a half of making an emergency weekend call , and all of his work was done fast and professionally. Specifically, we had a small Pepco outage in my neighborhood the night before, which caused an old fuse in the circuit breaker to burn out, it seems. Micheal replaced it very quickly and also pointed out two aspects of my electrical panel that were actually not to code, meaning my two separate electricians before him had done things with the panel that weren’t technically to code. I hope to use Johnson electric for future updates to the house and certainly for emergencies. Michael said he was a master electrician and it showed. ( In the past I called electricians with decent online reviews but the guy on the phone would send me an assistant who had electrical knowledge, but didn’t strike me as someone who is actually “licensed”, especially because there was often times a huge language gap. I just wasn’t comfortable feeling in the dark about what’s going on with my electrical panel or wiring when I can’t even communicate with the technician the Electrician had sent to my house). With Michael, everything was transparent and clear. I Highly recommend this company.

I can't say enough good things about JECO Inc. I was having issues with several outlets and wall switches. Two other people tried to fix them without any success. I was referred to Michael Johnson and I'm so glad I got in touch with him.

Michael listened to my issues and said he would come out in the afternoon (on the same day). He was prompt and showed up at the time he indicated. He was able to identify the issues, and was able to fix the switches and outlets. I was so impressed with his work and attitude that I gave him a list of 6 other indoor and outdoor electrical projects I'd like him to do in the future.

Finding someone who does electrical work is easy. Finding a good electrician is hard. Finding a professional, licensed electrician with a lot of experience and industry knowledge is even harder. Thank goodness for Johnson Elec. Co. On a Sunday evening my alarm went off on my smoke detector non stop. I went into panic mode . My experience with the electric Co was excellent from beginning to to end. Within 15 min I received a phone call from the electrician," Mr. J." . He arrived in 30 min. Mr. Johnson of Johnson Electric Co did an excellent job on all of the electrical repairs needed in my home. He removed the old fans and light fixtures and replaced them with new ones, changed old wiring, replaced a damaged outlet and updated circuit
breakers in the electrical box. He is very professional and will expIain why the work is needed. He was on time and completed the jobs. I highly recommend him and he is a very nice person.

Our hot water heater stopped working, and we called to get an assessment. Within a few hours of calling , Mr Johnson had personally come out and identified the problem (poor installation resulting in dangerous electrical problems), and ensured the right professionals came out to fix it. He sent a plumber the next morning to uninstall and return the damaged heater, pick up a new one, and correctly installed it. So within 24 hours we have hot water again!!

We had an urgent need to replace our main breaker on our electrical panel, and Mr. Johnson was quick to respond and fix the problem. He was able to source the breaker in a timely manner, and provided text updates when he had the breaker and when he would be arriving to fix the panel.

He also provided additional suggestions to upgrade our panel, including rough cost estimates to perform the upgrade and expectations for how long the upgrade would take.

I needed a Tesla home charger installed ASAP and called several electricians, many of whom didn’t even offer the service. I then found Johnson Electric and received a call back from the owner about an hour after speaking with their office. Even though it was late in the evening, he offered to come to my house that same day to provide me a quote. He then got it installed by a very good electrician from his company the next morning! The electrician did a great job and despite my breaker box being recessed within drywall, they were able to get it installed without leaving any holes in my drywall. I was also able to video chat with the electrician during the service since I was at work The owner then called me to follow up after the service. I highly recommend, especially if you need a Tesla wall charger installed Quickly!
