This is the second time in 2 years we have had Pinnacle diagnose and repair issues with 2 of our furnaces. Each time they were punctual, polite and very knowledgeable. Today Mike came to the house, fixed the issue promptly and explained why the system failed. He also answered a few other questions I had about our HVAC systems and gave me some helpful recommendations. After this second interaction with them I will definitely use them to maintain and service our HVAC systems. Thank you Mike!

Pinnacle HVAC is the best. My 30-year-old steam boiler recently stopped working, which left me with no heat. Mike arrived on time, quickly assessed the issue, repaired my heat temporarily, and returned the next day with a part to finish the repair. He even followed up the next day by phone to check that everything was still working properly.
When I asked about replacing the boiler, Jay (owner/founder) offered to work with me on the necessary paperwork for Mass Save's heat loan program, but he also assured me there was still some life left in my boiler. Pinnacle HVAC truly cares about their customers, and they have the reputation to prove it. Highly recommend for all your HVAC needs! -
I have used Pinnacle HVAC for the last decade. They’ve done everything from annual maintenance to installing new systems. I recommend them to all. Fair prices, on time and clean.

I can highly recommend Pinnacle. I got several estimates before starting a project that involved what was going to be fixing or replacing an old gas furnace in a very tight attic, as well as installing a heat pump for that same area (a dual fuel system). I went with Pinnacle because their price was reasonable, but they also seemed very knowledgeable. In addition to the second floor project, I also asked them to look at an heat pump that was previously installed for our first floor, as it did not seem to be working (though gas furnace was). While working here, they were determined to do things correctly, even if it required a lot of extra time. They explained everything they were doing; they tested every single thing to be sure it was working properly; and they kept to their estimate despite many hours that were not anticipated. They were always very courteous with regard to coming to the house - calling the day before to check in, as well as sending a text reminder and a text notification shortly before arriving. They were great with my dogs and working with me on fitting my tight driveway. Plus, I love the new system they installed. It's a huge improvement over what we had and the little changes they made to ducts, vents, etc.have taken away the dramatic "cold" rooms that we have suffered from (even in mild weather). Thank you so much, Pinnacle!

Pinnacle took over the service of my mini-split system after the original installers botched the job and left me with a mess. Jay, Mike, and Derek have been prompt and professional and have done an outstanding job putting my system in order. I highly recommend their services!

We had pinnacle work on our boiler in our large old home in Brookline we just bought the home so we know nothing about it,. they tuned the water system, did a service on the boiler, changed a pump, and quoted my air conditioning,.
Pinnacle is a small family shop with generational expertise fair prices, top quality work, and friendly technicians .
This is the type of place I seek out when I am working on renovating my large older home in Brookline. -
January 2025: quick update to my previous review. Going with Pinnacle was among my best decisions. The systems they installed work perfectly for my home. A recent routine service call was easy to schedule, on time, and I was very satisfied. The heat pumps they installed a year and a half ago have performed well, the system was scoped well for my home. The Viessmann boiler they installed a year ago is a vast improvement over the old boiler that was in my basement taking up an excessive amount of space and running inefficiently. Bottom line: great company to deal with, great advice, great service. I highly recommend and would be happy to serve as a reference.
(My previous posting from October 2023): I really don't like to leave negative reviews, and I'm always so happy to leave positive reviews. This is a very positive review, so you can imagine how happy I am to leave it. I have found Pinnacle highly responsive from the get-go, very willing and able to communicate. The proposed solution was exactly what I'd hoped for (a ducted central system with two heat pumps, one for each floor, and a mini-split in a room that was not accessible from the central system). The team is now in my house for the second week and they're great. It's always a bit tricky to anticipate where the ductwork (supplies and returns) will be routed, and they've gone above and beyond in trying to find solutions that will minimize loss of space in closets while being aesthetically sensitive to the design of the rooms. Further, the crew has been great at cleaning up after themselves at the end of the day, and setting up properly when they return in the morning. And one more thing: they've always shown up. And if there are issues or delays, I am the first to know. I suppose I ought to wait until we turn the switch on, but felt that Pinnacle HVAC deserves this review even while we're in process. Any questions, please feel free to ask. Having considered a few other options, I could not be happier with my decision. Thanks guys. -
My central air compressor died and because it was so old the air handler also needed to be replaced. Jay came to the house the same day after we talked and gave me several options for replacements to work within my budget and even provided rebate guidance for MassSave. He was able to get the team to to start the install very fast to get us set up before the summer heat. The team was very polite and professional. They kept the house very clean and finished ahead of the original schedule.

I had a homesheild claim, the communication was really difficult with homesheild and as a new home owner, it was already very stressful needing a large repair. We had two split units that were not working properly all summer. I was pretty unhappy at first getting the run around from homesheild, but Jay called me personally and was able to rectify the issue, and assisted with the communication with them. We recently just got the condenser replaced, and I really appreciate Jay advocating for us, and the tech was great, really friendly and profressional. Thank you Pinnacle!

Great service received. Very friendly and professional. In no time my furnace was working well without any more issues.

A/C died on hottest day of the year. Pinnacle had someone onsite the next day and was able to replace the needed part from inventory carried on the truck. Never would have expected them to be able to help me that quickly.

Pinnacle has provided us with excellent service with our mini-split systems. Members of this family owned and operated company are prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable. We recommend Pinnacle, in particular Service Technician, Ben.

Pinnacle HVAC did a fantastic job and the service was performed at a reasonable price and efficiently. We have used other companies in the past but were referred to Pinnacle because of their attentiveness. We are now a customer whenever the needs arises. The technician was great!

There are loads of options for HVAC services in MetroWest Boston; Sadly I can no longer recommend PINNACLE HVAC. We were customers for over 5 years and recommended them to family and friends and even wrote glowing reviews. Unfortunately Jay the owner showed he only wants to sell expensive new systems even when you don't need them. He took a deposit for a new boiler and when we had a change of heart because we had other more pressing expenses, we told Jay we needed the money back. After discovering that we only needed to service our existing boiler to keep it going, and did not want to replace it immediately, Jay acted like a scorned lover and hijacked our money. He still after 73 days, had been unwilling to return the money despite several requests from us. He lied and said emails from us went to junk mail yet other emails to the same address were received and returned. He promised to return the funds with an accounting of any fees multiple times. Finally after countless emails, after 74 days of holding our money, Jay returned it minus fees, many of which were never explained to us. In no way should it take close to 3 months to return any item and provide a customer a refund. This is simply shady at best .There was a restocking fee which he mentioned and assigned a dollar value to, but the other fees he alluded to were never explained nor were they given a dollar amount. They were simply referred to as “other fees”. We asked for an accounting of the money he withheld when returning the initial deposit, but still haven’t received it. It wasn’t until a 6th or 7th request for a refund that Jay offered to wire funds to us while he was on vacation. We wanted to be respectful of his time away from the office and had waited so long, at that point, what was one more week? We were considerate and told him a check the following week would suffice. Why was it possible to wire funds from out of town but the multiple requests for a check while in state were ignored or put off?
We completely misread this person and company and thought he was trustworthy. This all could have been prevented if Jay had acted with integrity. Pinnacle could have returned our money via a certified check and then asked the vendor for a refund. Something as simple as Service reminders could have prevented us from being without heat for two days in the frigid December days. Funny how the system works fine 3 months after it was serviced in December after failing during the coldest days in December. We were willing to maintain our relationship with Pinnacle and continue to do projects we planned for our attic and renovated kitchen. We would have continued to recommend others to Pinnacle. Instead Jay destroyed any chance of that happening by his actions and behavior. We trusted him, and our 5 1/2 year relationship of being a good
customer who recommended Pinnacle to friends and family should have bought us the respect and courtesy we deserved. Instead Jay continued to hold our check against our wishes and despite many requests to return the money, simply because we chose not to spend $18,000 on a system that is still functioning.
We made the mistake of trusting this company and its owner and hopefully can prevent other people from getting blindsided and pressured into purchasing an unnecessary, costly replacement heating or cooling system. Buyer beware! -
Our AC stopped working last night (8/13) and Jay (the owner) promptly contacted me the next morning and arrived to get it fixed within two hours. I’ve never met a repairman that was so timely and kind! He was great to talk with both about maintenance and future projects and got to know me and my neighbor a bit as well. Both a kind and knowledgeable person.Pinnacle will absolutely be my number one choice from now on if Jay is setting this type of standard, commitment and example. The price as well felt reasonable especially with how quick everything was fixed. I contacted 2 other places that are minutes away from my home in my town yet Jay was able to contact me, arrive from about 40 minutes away, and fix my unit before I even got a call back from the others! Highly recommend!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Unfortunately my latest experience with Pinnacle was by far the worst. We went through AHS for a service to replace our central air system. I paid Pinnacle for uncovered costs and they failed to inform me that someone else would need to come out for a final gas connection. WEEKS went by and they were unable to get someone over. I asked for a refund and MONTHS went by before I got it back. Terrible service and poor attitude from Amelia at the front desk. Do not recommend using them they are not responsive and they are terrible to work with.

We had 3 highly reputable plumbing and heating firms come to fix our heat, over the course of 3 and 1/2 weeks. In November, as it grew colder and colder ! Each of them said that it was unfixable, and that we would need to scrap our entire two boiler system, and replace it. Each was more than happy to charge us for diagnosis, and give us a proposal to invest a lot of money in a new system. Because the components were working, this did not make sense to us.
We tried a fourth company, Pinnacle. In less than an hour, they found a simple fix... A single burned out fuse. They replaced it and everything worked just fine.
In addition, Pinnacle was the only company that approached this intelligently IMO. Their dispatcher asked me to send an email, explaining the problem and what had already been done. They also asked for pictures of our system. This was to avoid wasting anyone's time and make sure they had the right people and in fact to make sure that they were the right company to help us.
I cannot recommend Pinnacle highly enough. -
Pinnacle is by far the best HVAC company in the state! They have knowledgeable technicians and stellar customer service. We had the privilege of working with Jimmy and he is simply the best! He evaluated my entire system and identified all the issues and provided the solutions. The company is realistic in terms of timelines, cost and part availability. You can’t go wrong with this company. Make sure to call them for your HVAC needs.

Pinnacle are simply the best. Have used other HVAC companies in past with mixed success. Have never had a problem with Pinnacle and Jay and his staff are top notch. Always quick to respond, very professional and always resolve problems quickly. Highly recommend them.
