Reviews of local pros in Acton, Massachusetts

Concord Tree installed new sod and two arborvitae bushes into our yard. Shawn and his team were very helpful and informative and we’re really pleased with the results. Highly recommended!

Thanks Concord Tree for a fantastic job on putting our lawn!!!
We used them for ripping off the old lawn, putting inches of topsoil and hydroseeding. The crews are professional and did an excellent job.The owner is very knowledgeable and explained to us what are the steps of the process.
Very satisfied!
Thanks again.

They scheduled Shawn for visiting my property to get a quote and they rescheduled on the day of appointment which was okey. Our appointment was for next day between 10-11am which I told them property is unoccupied and I have to wait in the car for the whole 1 hour window? They said we cannot specify exact time. Anyhow, I was at the property for the whole one hour and even called their office at 10:45 that Shawn didn't show up and they said they will call back. I left at 11 and they called at 11:07 that Shawn is there. The service that I received for the first visit was unprofessional and they didn't value my time at all. I would not recommend them.

This company still owes me money for mulch that they spread and charged clients for 2 years ago. Definitely not an honest company. Beware!!!!

It took us a while to find Shawn and his team, but I’m glad we did. Finding landscapers who do great work and are also dependable, reliable, professional, and responsive is harder to do than you’d think. This group checks those boxes and does it at reasonable prices. They take great care of our yard, including bigger projects like completely regrading and redoing our backyard, but it’s the smaller stuff that makes the difference: things like the mulch bed cleanups and cleaning the driveway, and not forgetting to close the gates so our dog doesn’t get out. I highly recommend this team.

Absolute pleasure working with Sean!! Amazing company!! Very very pleased with plants & scrubs. His landscape designer did a beautiful job planning our front lawn. His crew was amazing . . very professional & extremely hard working. Very thankful & grateful to Concord Tree & Landscape!!

Shawn and his team did a great job clearing out old bushes and stone from our yard and laying new sod. The team was very friendly and hard working and Shawn was responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.

My first posting, after the job was done was:

"Great job, and at a great price. I worked mainly with Keith, and he was responsive, flexible, and worked tirelessly to do the job to our satisfaction. Thanks!"

HOWEVER, after the winter, there were several small issues that needed to be fixed. Keith originally helped me out, but then he left the company (rather suddenly), and things ground to a halt. After many phone calls, many complaining emails all of the issues were fixed, but it took a YEAR for them to finish a very small job. I will never use Concord Tree again.

We hired Concord Tree & Landscape to come out to trim some very overgrown trees/shrubs and they actually had to come out twice because the original trimming wasn't quite enough (and they came back promptly and everything looked beautiful). We then asked them to replace our old patio pavers and put in french drains. So far the drains are holding up nicely (will revisit once we have a torrid rainstorm which has always flooded the patio in the past) and the patio is just beautiful. We couldn't be more pleased (there is absolutely no pooling of water anywhere and it all looks terrific). The only issue I can see with Concord Tree is they're not super responsive at getting back to you with a quote (seems like an odd issue to have when I want to give them business) but other than that no complaints at all. Beautiful work!!

I was looking for a new landscaping contractor for my house in Wayland when I stumbled upon this company. The reviews seemed good and people seemed to generally have nice things to say about the company. I reached out to them via their web portal about getting a quotation. It took them over a week to even acknowledge it my email. It took almost another week to get them to come out and look at the place. I met a gentleman named Keith who walked through the entire project with me with a promise to send me the final numbers over the weekend. When Monday came by and I didn’t hear from them I called again to ask for my quotation and I didn’t hear back from them until Tuesday.
Keith sends me an email saying that the owner (Shawn) prefers to work with clients with more income/larger homes.

Here are his exact words from his email
“In recent discussions with the owner of the company, he feels that our focus needs to be on a much higher end residential home and property.”

I sent him a thank you note and have since found a better company to handle our landscaping needs.

If Concord Landscaping truly feels that they cannot cater to the needs of low/middle income households they should state it clearly on their website.

So if you happen not to be a millionaire please look for a more suitable company as Concord will not be a suitable place for you

I have been doing business with Shawn from Concord Tree and Landscape now for a couple years and he and his team are always professional and respectful. They deliver amazing service and I never worry that we will have any issues with the work performed. From commercial to residential, they do it all and they do it well. From landscaping to snow removal, they are your contractors.

Nope, I would stay as far away from these guys as you can. Their hardscape work was really disappointing. We had, and still have, rocks coming loose that were cemented in place during the construction of our outdoor area. I have never seen this happen before. Now that the project is completed they won't return our calls. At least own your work, Concord Tree. Their management of the project and organization was poor.

Shawn is the real deal! I recently moved to Concord and have a large property to maintain (5+ acres)

Over the past two years, Shawn and his team have maintained my property beyond my expectations!

We have done a lot of work to get the grounds to where they are now, from expanding my irrigation system, construction of fire pits and patio work, to completely transforming two neglected fields into a beautiful lush lawn. Literally ripping up fields and new lawn install from scratch - a ton of work.

Nothing beats pulling into my driveway and seeing my lawn looking like a golf course. They even cut perfect lines with the weekly mowes. I receive a lot of compliments on it.

His prices are very reasonable and it's nice having a "one stop shop" that can handle literally any outside project that comes to mind.

HIGHLY recommend!

We just a large patio project with Shawn and team. It was a great experience from beginning to end. The team listened to our feedback, put together detailed plans and then executed on them. And now we have a beautiful addition to our outdoor space! I will be looking for other projects to loop Shawn into in the future.

I hired Concord Tree and Landscape to design, build and maintain our outdoor sanctuary after we just put in an in ground pool. I had shared with the designer my big ideas for an outdoor kitchen and fireplace in our yard which has limited yard space. The estimate and design proposal was in line with what we wanted to accomplish. The staff was friendly, considerate and always on time. We are excited about spending more time outside in the warmer months and enjoying the beautiful landscape and outdoor kitchen they built for us. In a nutshell, they do great work with fantastic craftsmanship and are an overall pleasure to have at our home, Thank you.

Shawn was great to work with and the crew did a quality job. We shared a project with our neighbor that included planting several trees and shrubs along the property line - plus grading, mulch, fence, and lawn. Concord Tree and Landscape turned an ugly mess into a beautiful view!

What an insanely professional company. We moved into a new house in Carlisle with a yard in need of serious attention. It had about a year and a half worth of overgrown plants and weeds. Concord Tree & Landscape's owner (Shawn) came to visit and walked the property with us in the name of formulating an estimate. We didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. He was super knowledgable and managed to make us feel like we were his only priority. He was prompt with a quote, swiftly emailed a well documented contract, and introduced us to his scheduling department who bent over backwards to get our service completed before a party we were having that week! When Robin (Designer) came, we were thoroughly impressed by her knowledge and kind demeanor. She came with a super team of workers who performed back-breaking work in record time. Our property now looks absolutely amazing and we're eager to continue working with Shawn, Robin, and the team on maintaining it and adding to its design. We have all the confidence in the world they'll continue to make our yard the most beautiful in town. Truly A+ service.

We are thrilled with the complete service we received from Concord Tree and Landscape for our backyard landscaping project just finished this June of 2020. The project includes a fire pit stone patio area, pergola, flower garden and sod. We were very happy with the design process, visual presentations, communication and professionalism throughout the project. The attention to detail and craftsmanship are superb as the finished product speaks for itself; now we are thoroughly enjoying our outdoor space! We would highly recommend this company and thank everyone at Concord Tree & Landscape who were involved with the project for making our dream a reality!

Shawn and team were great to work with on our new walkway project. Shout out to the office staff who got me info quickly and connected the dots. The guys that did the work were thoughtful and careful and seemed to treat the project as if it were done at their home. Definitely would recommend!

I worked with Shawn and Keith to get my yard cleaned up and mulched. Their team did a fantastic job and in short time! They made our place look like when we first bought the house!

Thank you Shawn and your team for a great job! Looking forward to continue working with you for future needs.

I worked with Shawn, his amazing designer Dan, and the hardworking talented teams they lead. They transformed my wild urban meadow into a beautifully landscaped backyard with a great patio. I was nervous and inexperienced, and they hung in there with me. When we realized there was one part of the project not quite finished, the crew returned and completed the work with the care and thoroughness they showed throughout the job.
