I want to sincerely share my disappointing experience with the landscaping crew, particularly with Shawn, the owner. During their service, my car was scratched, resulting in $2000 worth of damages. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue and seek compensation, Shawn has failed to comply and there is currently an active capias out on him. This lack of responsibility and disregard for the damage caused is unacceptable. I urge others to be cautious when dealing with this landscaping crew to avoid similar frustrations and inconveniences.

I would summarize my post like this: Trust them, they know their job! We were looking for a company to do our lawn installation: rip off the old grass, clean a wild space, move a stone wall... Shawn was really prompt to answer, came couple times to understand our needs, shared his experience and provided some recommendations. Really good to talk to people who know their job! Then Alvaro and his team came to start the work. We were really impressed with the work they did. These guys are really amazing: work hard, efficient, details oriented. We could not expect a better work. The week after, the hydroseeding company showed up, and now we are waiting for the lawn to grow and looking forward for next year to enjoy our new lawn. We used Concord Tree and Landscape for a complete landscape Re-Design and Planting of 63 Trees/Plants.
This was by far the biggest housing project I have ever done and had an overall great experience.
The project consisted of a new landscape design, Hydro-seed lawn(front and Back), Irrigation system, front walkway, 2 sets of front steps, Back yard Patio, Fire-pit, Side Patio, and planting of 63 Trees /Plants.
Shawn was great to work with and was responsive and gave detailed quotes for the project.
Mike was the project manager and was excellent to work with. He was very patient with us as we had to pick out all of the tress and bushes and did an amazing job with the design, placement, and plantings. He had great suggestions too on the evergreens and flowering trees! We are happy to report that all but 1 plant made it but we will replace it this spring. We are big fans of Mike.
Alvaro is a technician with the bobcat and it is impressive to watch!
Becky who runs the back office is fantastic. She is extremely responsive and detailed. If there are any questions regarding service scheduling or billing she is on top of it.
My favorite part of Concord Tree and Landscape is that they will be maintaining the property as well. A lot of landscape company’s just do the work but Concord Tree and Landscape maintains it as well which made me feel comfortable because they truly stand behind their work.
This was a big big project for us and Concord Tree and Landscape made me very happy we chose to work with them.
Instead of stressing about my yard I can just come home and enjoy it!

I had called concord tree for a big project which included, tree cutting, yard leveling, drain installation and other landscaping work.

They never got back to me despite repeated follow up phone calls and emails spanning few months. I finally gave up on them. I reached out to Tree masters for tree cutting. Tree masters was very quick, prompt in their responses, gave timely quotes and finished the job in record time. They cut around 20 trees on my property. I used other local landscapers for completing landscaping projects.

I am still not sure what to make of Concord Tree & Landscape to be honest. Would not recommend them at all. I saw all the positive reviews on google so thought I just needed some good old fashioned followups to get things done but turns out not.

We recently contracted Concord Tree and Landscape to design and install bluestone pool decking, fieldstone retaining walls, a complete wireless irrigation system for our home. From our initial consultation with Shawn, project design with Dan, and install with Mike the service was excellent. The entire group was knowledgable, friendly, and professional. The project was on-time and there were no hidden charges or surprises. It turned out exactly as they said it would. I could not be happier with the service or result. The entire team worked hard to make sure we were satisfied with the project.

I encourage anyone with landscaping needs to give Shawn and the Team a call. You wont be disappointed with the result.

Concord Tree and Landscape was under contract to service my Condo area. While weed-whacking on Aug. 22, a stone hit the driver’s side window of my rental car and broke the window. I called the owner, Shawn Mc Carthy who said he would take responsibility for the damage done. I sent the bill to him and followed up with him. He said it was paid and I thanked him. OnJanuary 12, I received a bill from Enterprise Rental for the full amount, $245.00 saying it was never paid. I contacted Shawn for one week emailing and calling him every day. There has been no response from him. He is dishonest, a poor businessman and I recommend that no one use his landscaping services.

We used Concord Tree and Landscape to design and build a custom fire pit. Overall, they did a great job with the design and build of it as it really is striking and met our vision perfectly. Having said all that, it was a bit frustrating when it came to communication with them. It took a handful of calls just to get on the schedule and my emails and text messages weren't responded to during the project. It was nice that Shawn reached out after the project was completed, but I would have appreciated more responsiveness throughout the project and just more clarity about getting the project scheduled.

Shawn and his team are AMAZING! Truly AMAZING! I called them in a panic about a project that I couldn't finish myself (I perpetually over-promise and underachieve on my own DIY projects...whoops). They came in ASAP and finished the project extremely quickly. Their work is top notch and Shawn's and his crew's service is superb. Shawn is very easy to get a hold of (he texts which is great for me since we can share photos and notes). Not only is the work quality fantastic and the service equally great, but the prices are extremely fair. I often feel like many companies raise prices when you live near a city just because they think they can charge more...not with Concord Tree and Landscape. I am SO glad I found Concord Tree and Landscape!!

Other companies I have called 1) hard to get a hold of 2) expensive 3) have no openings for work and/or 4) try to up-sell me on EVERYTHING. Not with Shawn.

As I see, others have listed the same complaint as I have., I've repeatedly being told that the check was in the mail, and then never responded. The management of this company has horrible communication skills. Be careful.

We had them do some hardscape work last year that was damn disappointing. Some of the cemented in pavers are already loose and the granite steps are wobbly when you step on them. Once the job was done they shockingly just disappeared and stopped communicating.
Save yourself some frustration and use someone else

Shawn and his entire Concord team are fantastic to work with. The tone at the top impacts how a company operates. Shawn takes personal interest in ensuring his crew does a through job. We switched to Concord last year to maintain our condo community. Our residents tend to be picky and demanding about landscaping. Shawn and his team were able to exceed our expectations. Residents have reached out out Shawn directly to complement the quality of work.

Concord Tree and Landscaping, led by Shawn McCarthy, is a well run and highly professional organization. Shawn was on time with all commitments and was quick to respond with any requests we had in the quotation process. We received multiple estimates for the work and they were the most competitively priced. The proposal was very well detailed and only had one surprise: a reduced cost for projects of our expense! I am glad to have made a contact with Shawn and hope to be able to work with them on other projects for our property in the near future.

We hired Concord Tree & Landscape to renovate our yard. A family member was getting a quote from Shawn and mentioned we were looking to have work done. Shawn contacted me that afternoon, and came by the following day not only to look at the yard and scope of work, but also got me a quote within a couple of hours. We were initially looking at just renovating our yard (turning everything over, regrading the lawn, and hydroseeding), but they were able to do all of the above, as well as remove the stones from our old patio, some old logs that were going to have to be cut up to be removed, AND removed our back fence that was falling apart and installed a new one... and all of the work came in around the same price some other companies were quoting just to renovate the yard.
Apart from the quote itself - Shawn, Rob (our project manager), and their crew were all timely, professional, and extremely accommodating and communicative throughout the entire process. The quality of work performed was fantastic, and we are incredibly pleased with how well things turned out. They were able to start working within a couple of weeks, and finished the work in only a couple of days. I can't recommend their work highly enough, and will be referring their services to friends and family going forwards and will certainly be reaching back out to them for future projects.

Hired to do a spring cleanup including weeding, edging, mulching, and adding new wood chips to a large area bordering the woods. The price was less than two other highly recommended landscapers and the work was outstanding and the quality of materials were top notch. The work crew spent all day given the size of the job and worked hard and asked for feedback as the day went on. For the work, quality, and price we were extremely pleased. As Shawn is the guy who scoped the work, provided quote, and instructed crew on scope of work for this project and all others he can be occasionally hard to reach and the back office communication is not a strong suit. Despite that I highly recommend Concord Tree and Landscape. Hire them and you will be pleased. I recommended them to son who also used them and he also was very pleased

This is my first year with Shawn and Concord Tree and Landscape. I was looking for a landscaper to cut my lawn, trim the hedges, and spring and fall cleanup. I wanted someone who would take care of our yard as if it was their own. From the initial consultation with Shawn to the actual work being done, I have been impressed. Shawn took careful notes when we first met, and his crew has been excellent since then. I am especially impressed with his team that cuts the lawn and does the trimming. They work hard and take care of their work. They do not do the job as quickly as possible, but as carefully as possible. They also take time to chat, which makes the whole experience more personal.

WARNING!!! Don’t do buinsess with these people they reserved 4 machines for a winter rental and reached out every week for two months to confirm that we kept them open for them then the day before the rentals are due to be delivered that stopped answering. They have a fake card number. I’d give them zero stars if I could. Stay far far away Shawn is a scam artist.

We called a few different landscapers to help us find/create a spot for our swing set. Shawn was prompt, accessible, reasonable and professional. When he came to give us the quote, he had a few suggestions for us and then told us how we could prep the yard a bit before he came on to help keep the costs down for us! No one else did that!! We had a bit of a scheduling balance to do in order to accommodate our yard prep, Shawn's landscaping and then swing set install. Concord Tree and Landscaping was super flexible in getting all that done within our timeline! Our kids set up lawn chairs to watch the "show," and the crew was professional and personable. And the work was done exactly as described and it looks fantastic!

After the work was done we had some follow up questions the next day. Shawn immediately got back to me and was able to guide me through all my questions.

I WILL use this company again and I HIGHLY recommend them!

+Team: Geraldo (lead mason) was awesome. He and the team did a great job and was very responsive to feedback during the entire project.
+Budget: Shawn stayed within estimated cost for the project.
+Scheduling: Communication regarding the start date of the project could have been better.

We are very happy with our courtyard renovation. Shawn and his team pulled out all of the old, poorly maintained, and overgrown trees, bushes, and groundcover, and installed the new hardscape and planting beds. He brought me with him to the greenhouse to tag the specimen tree to be certain I was happy with the shape and size. Cudos to his paving and planting teams as well. 2023 was a tough summer to get this work done, and much of it was done in the rain. I am attaching a before and after view as well as a group shot of the planting team.

The warrantee follow up for the few plants that didn’t survive has yet to happen in spite of multiple requests. It is a disappointing turn to an otherwise good project.

We only discovered this afterward, during our own investigation, including finding public information on LinkedIn showing that both companies are linked to the same owner.
The outcome was identical: we worked for both companies and did not receive payment from either.”

I am sharing my experience as a business owner who worked directly with Concord Tree & Landscape (also operating as Concord Design and Landscape). In July, they purchased materials from us and issued two checks from two different bank accounts, both of which were returned for insufficient funds. Despite multiple attempts to collect payment and direct communication with the owner, no payment has been made to date.

We ultimately had to take the matter to small claims court. A judgment was awarded in our favor after the business failed to appear for the scheduled hearing.

This review reflects my firsthand experience and the documented outcome of the legal process. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company to other businesses or consumers.
