Plumber responded quickly to our request for service. We were having very loud banging from our radiator pipes. Gave us information over the phone to help us know we weren’t damaging our system. Came to assess within a few days. Job done within a week.

Easy to schedule, Nick arrived right on time, got the job done quickly and efficiently. Showed me how the new device worked and I got it set up with no problem. Nice guy, knowledgeable, very reasonable price, I highly recommend.

Called them with an emergency. Even though I wasn’t a previous customer, Nick came right out (during a heat wave) and had everything completed within a few days while others wouldn’t even come out to look at it for weeks! He worked with me (and my house sitters) while I was away on vacation and even took care of my Mass Saves rebate for me. Smooth transaction. Highly recommend!

I had a heating issue that had been giving me problems for a while, and ALL HVAC did an outstanding job fixing it. From the moment they arrived, they were professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. They quickly diagnosed the issue, explained what was going wrong in a way I could easily understand, and got everything repaired efficiently.

The technician made sure the system was running perfectly before leaving and even gave me helpful tips to avoid future issues. The improvement was immediate — The apartment is warm and comfortable again.

Great experience overall. Chris definitely has a no-pressure approach and was helpful and patient quoting multiple options, including for the ductless units we ultimately decided to install. The installation was professional, efficient, done the way we wanted and everything was cleaned up before they left.

Called on Wednesday and they scheduled me in for the next day. They were able to show up early and fixed the problem. I needed a boiler drain replaced but had some questions about my expansion tank. They inspected it and found it was faulty and were able to replace it on the same visit. Everything took around an hour and would highly recommend.

I called McDonald Heating, A/C and Plumbing for a friend, who was away and needed a tub drain cleaned out. Gene arrived on time, and reviewed the plumbing and the problem, and decided it was originally diagnosed incorrectly by someone else. A short time later the tub was draining like new, and for less cost than quoted by the original plumber. Gene was not only professional, but honest and left the bathroom in great shape - couldn't tell he was there. I highly recommend these guys.

We have a 'finicky' heating system which requires antifreeze to be in the system and effective to a 'lower' than standard degree. McDonald's knows this. YET for the last 2 years, despite my calling the day before the cleaning service to remind them about the antifreeze service, the tech shows up without the materials (or time in schedule) to do the job. Why am I SO ANGRY? Because this means I have to take MORE time off work to get this done, when it could have been done all in the same appointment. (They have done it before.) WHAT IS WRONG with a company that cannot respond to s customer's request THE DAY BEFORE? WHY do I stay with them? Because they do a good job cleaning my Buderus system. (Hard to find techs to service this system..) YET I have had to call them in mid winter because our PIPES FROZE because the antifreeze didn't register LOW enough. WHAT DOES IT TAKE to get GOOD SERVICE??????!!!!!

McDonald is the type of contractor that adds a 200-300% markup on parts for a simple thermocouple replacement. Luckily I work for a plumbing & heating company so it’s quite easy to call BS on this behavior.

My mom is in her 60s and my dad died years ago. Typical easy victim profile. Looks like they missed a few things with their “seasonal checkup” they performed and are still trying to charge.

Most of the reviews on this page look like fraudulent accounts. The page administrator can take this up with me personally if they want to rectify the issue.

Take your business elsewhere.

The AC was not cooling my apartment at all for a very long time. 'Gene' from McDonald Heating & Air Conditioning company identified a few issues inside the apartment and also the issues with the cooing system on the roof. He came prepared and made his magic and fixed all the issues at once. For the first time, I'm enjoying the cool air in my apartment! Gene's knowledge and excellent service is greatly appreciated! THANK YOU GENE!

We needed to replace a 25 year central air unit in our apartment. The technicians and electrician were top notch, professional, courteous and loved our dogs!! Mike and our electrician went through everything that was done, explained everything also. I would highly recommend McDonald for anyone looking for first rate installation and top notch employees!!! New to Auburn and first time using McDonald HVAC. They went above and beyond. Our technician, Justin, was extremely thorough and was able to demonstrate the functions of our tankless boiler along with providing adjustments to our steam radiator vents. His service was awesome. He went over the work that was done in detail and walked me through simple maintenance that I can do myself. Can't say enough good things about this company and will be using their services in the future. Highly recommended!
