Always have a good experience with McDonald Heating. Gene is the best, always takes the time to explain what needs to be done and why. I might not like when I have to pay😃 but I know the work will be done correctly and any problems they always stand by their work. I have been dealing with them a very long time and have always been satisfied. Thank you Gene for keeping my furnace working.

I called McDonald Heating after my furnace wouldn’t stay running, kept shutting off randomly. They sent a tech out that afternoon to assess the situation. He was very friendly and professional and took the time to explain what happened and what needed to be done. Basically the lines kept freezing because they weren’t properly insulted, so he was able to get them warmed up and wrapped so the oil could pass through without issue. Haven’t had a problem since!

Thank you so much! I would highly recommend them to all my family and friends!

I have been a customer of McDonald’s heating and air conditioning for years. I had a couple of Mitsubishi units installed recently and every year when I switched to heat, they do not work. So, again I contacted this company. Same tech showed up. He talked to me like I was 5 asking me why I did not listen to him the first time and raise my outside unit like he told me (this wasn’t even the issues). He could not start my units and told me that all 6 thermostats on the outside unit had to be replaced. He also told me that the unit should be raised off the ground. I asked how much it would cost. He told me that the stand would be 500 and the labor would be $3000 because they would have to cut the plumbing and bend it and that would take all day of labor. He told me that he did not know the cost of the replacing the thermostat and that the company would get back to me the next day. I got a call the next day and I asked for a written estimate. This is because I wanted to see in writing what I was charged for. You see, in the meantime I called Mitsubishi and the rep there said that it would be impossible to loose all 6 thermostats and that the parts were under warranty, anyway. McDonald tech did not mention it although he knew that the units were only 3 years old. Several days went by and I did not get my estimate. So, I started to call around and found out that the charge for the raising of the unit was ridiculous. I kept asking for a written estimate. Finally, I hired a company who repaired only 3 of the 6 thermostats. Parts were under warranty so I just paid for the labor. They also raised my unit for $450(parts and labor). I never got my estimate. Over a month later I got a call from someone in the company and he asked me if I was ready to proceed. I told him the story and he apologized. I told him I will not be using McDonald in the future. Another month went by and I got a bill for $100. I called the company and asked what it was for. The woman answering the phone told me that it’s for the service call. I told her how the tech was demeaning and tried to gouge me on the price, how I never got a quote and that they are lucky I’m not posting a review. She told me that she would talk to the powers that be and that I should disregard the bill. A month later, yesterday, I got another bill for $100.

We were quite satisfied with the serviceman and the result of referring an Electrical Service Company to repair our unit with a replace defective ac condenser. The McDonald's gentleman was efficient and responsive to our concerns and gave a synopsis of our entire system. Being a former Business owner and knowing some History of the McDonald Plumbing ,we expected a satisfactory response and was quite please on the two gentleman involved, both the Plumbing Co. and the Electrical service Co. We notice in the Service Towns listed our Town of Sturbridge was not listed, hope that the Company adds Sturbridge to this list

I’m a deaf working professional who needed my gas furnace and AC coil replaced. I reached out to McDonalds heating and cooling. They sent out a guy named Chris C to do an estimate. He told me that they could install a high efficiency gas furnace and a return intake duct. Chris advised me to apply for a mass save HEAT loan. Which was a tedious process including getting HOA approval and a bank to do the loan. Then they let me know the project manager Barry had to come and look at the job. I explained that I had a very important meeting to attend and I would be using PTO from work to make the appointment happen. They promised me they would be on time and it would work out fine. I took three hours off from work only to find out Barry was an hour late and didn’t respond to my texts asking where he was. Then when Barry showed up his guys told me they didn’t need me to be present. So I wasted three hours of valuable PTO time for nothing. My PTO is earned not given to me. Lastly, they said they couldn’t do the install and I have to do a lesser model and financing would cost me $9,000 dollars more than the original proposal. This was AFTER they said they could do it. They jerked me around with empty promises and tried to get me to do a more expensive package. They are unprofessional, dishonest and completely wasted my time and money. I would stay away from them and use another company instead. This is my first review ever because their services were so inappropriate and I don’t want anyone else to experience what I did.

I called because our carbon monoxide alarm went off on the stairs to the basement. Called McDonald's and they came within the hour. Alan was very professional with a positive attitude and went thru the boiler and found broken electrodes at the nozzle. He replaced the broken electrodes, the nozzle, and checked everything else, and finished up in 90 minutes. We're very grateful that McDonalds could fix the problem promptly for a reasonable price.

I recently had the heat go out at our Sturbridge home. McDonalds was recommended to me and I am so happy I called. From the first call they were so professional and helpful! They came out immediately and helped prioritize getting the replacement part. They had everything fixed by the next afternoon. Thank God, I didn't want to spend another night with space heaters and blankets.

I will use them for all my heating issues going forward and would recommend them highly!

My first time using McDonald - Technician Justin was here on time. He serviced my unit, explained what the issues were and cleared them. Explained what he did, what else could be done at a later date and gave me an honest assessment of my 27 year old boiler. He explained the maintenance plan in detail and explained all of the billing. I was very pleased with everything.

Chris and the McDonald HVAC team are a great company. When most companies come out with a quote that is "COVID-gouging crazy", just because they can, McDonald got us a reasonable quote for a great system, professional installers and great work - and the price didn't change!

We are very happy with this system. As an example "why" - by this time last year, we would have filled our heating oil a second time (almost $1,400), but we have not even had to turn on the oil system - saving almost $700 by the second month - and have only used 1/4 of the tank. We were filling once every 3 weeks or so last year at this time and all winter.

We expect to have to turn on the oil heat at some point, but this is an excellent start - the spring should be just as good.

We appreciate McDonald HVAC for being available, having a professional team in these poor-quality times, and for ensuring we got the right system.

I had a mini split system installed last year, end of summer. Had water damage this year. Had a tech come out to diagnose the issue. Unfortunately it was raining and impossible to diagnose the issue of where the water on the entire run of refrigerant line was coming from. He did discover the installers mixed up two units. So I had an undersized unit in a large room and an oversized unit in a small room. Causing issues. A month later two techs came out to fix the problems. They discovered the lines weren't properly charged, and one of my drain lines wasn't opened on install. So the drain line filled up then ran down the lines into my basement. I'm glad I didn't have it installed in my attic. Also I found on install they didn't seal the holes going through the house to the outside. Horrible install team. I'm keeping my fingers crossed there are no more issues.

More issues. I've had another company come out and service my units this year. They pointed out that the condenser is leaning considerably due to not putting adequate rocks down. This is making the unit noisy. I'm on the fence whether or not I want Mcdonald to fix it.

McDonald was very professional and accommodating. I called for service on my oil boiler and they repaired it same day!! Technicians were very professional and knowledgeable. They left no mess after completing a messy job.

Chris C. Was our sales rep. Nice guy did a great job responding to our urgent need for a new boiler. Of course when the temperature is extremely cold and the boiler cracks it can be a hasty choice for a new boiler. I did check the reviews for the Crown boiler he proposed and they were not all great. I am a little anxious now after reading some of the other reviews about McDonald's service responses. I also am left curious now if I could have saved if we went with a rebate qualifying unit. I don't recall being offered options for different gas units. Time will tell if we have problems and we'll see about the service. Oh now I also recall as I was told by one of the crew that they usually give loaner space heaters pending a new boiler. Was never offered. Now I have $300 in space heaters that will likely sit in the basement next to the new boiler. Apparently we did discuss other options as we would have had to upgrade to forced hot water from steam at a cost of 25 to 30k to qualify for rebates. Didn't take time to research this but I can imagine true as steam is not very efficient. Just keep the fingers crossed and we'll see. Thank you Chris.

McDonalds is awesome !! The Mitsubishi ductless system they installed to heat my basement, works like a charm. The technicians arrived at the scheduled time and within a few hours the system was up and running. The work the installers did was incredibly neat. The entire job couldn’t by have gone any smoother. If your thinking about a ductless system, give McDonalds a call. You’ll be glad you did.

My furnace failed on a Wednesday and my propane provider was not able to service it after ensuring I had propane and no leaks.

McDonald's customer service was excellent and got me an appointment the next day (it was late in the day when I called). It was supposed to be between 11am and 2pm.

Lou, the technician showed up at 10:55 am - perfect! Very professional, he went right to work and within 45 minutes, he diagnosed and fixed the issue. Thanks guys. I appreciate your help!

The compressor for my air conditioner failed at closing time and the temperature in my house was 93 degrees. McDonald's sent a technician, despite the late hour, so my family would not have to spend the night in a very hot and humid house. Alan, the technician, arrived in twenty minutes and did a great job to fix the compressor. Many thanks to McDonald'[s and Alan for their great service and kindness.

Could not be happier with McDonald Heating and Air Conditioning! I spoke with several other companies and none of them could give a straight forward answer. Chris was extremely helpful and worked quickly to provide multiple quotes and options. The installation team was professional and courteous and made sure everything worked perfectly. They are very responsive and put their customers first.

My experience with McDonald was very positive. We had our entire HVAC system replaced with McDonald. Chris the salesman was not pushy, very informative an easy to deal with. The installation crew was efficient, professional and clean. The office personnel was pleasant to speak with on the phone. Overall the entire experience was very positive.

On demand water heater installed and maintained, starting many years ago. Service has been excellent, issues resolved, yearly maintenance is fairly priced. Just spoke to receptionist Regina, excellent-professional contact and offered visit the following day. McDonald people are a God sent, I'm glad I found them!

This is a first-rate operation. They did a thorough assessment of our AC situation and presented very detailed options. On install day they sent a big crew (at least four people) who got the job done fast. The new system is working well and they did follow-up to make sure we were satisfied. I'm glad I did a full Google search and read lots of reviews before we chose McDonald-- it was worth finding the go-to people for AC.

We decided to invest in a a centralized air condition system. We have a split level home with cathedral ceilings and were not interested in a system that required duct work. We looked at three companies and asked for quotes from each. We choose McDonald Heating Air Conditioning Plumbing Inc. to install a Mitsubishi Mini Split system. The quote was not the lowest but we were impressed with Chris C. who was the person we interacted with. He was extremely through and detailed in his presentation. He brought a unit to the house so we could visualize it.
We agreed to a date and total time to complete the job. There was a team of three who worked all week to install the system. The systems are outstanding so far and the folks at McDonald have been outstanding in every way...highly recommend them

I can’t say enough good things about them. Thanksgiving night my furnace stopped working. I called several companies for quotes and McDonald beat out the others in every possible way but mostly by being responsive. They cared that I had no heat. Chris came to my home to evaluate the situation and had a quote to me within a few hours. He even had electric heaters delivered to my home to keep me warm while waiting. On the day they said they would come they arrived promptly. Collin and Anthony were efficient, polite, personable, neat, clean and very considerate of my home. They covered floors and carpeting and worked quickly and efficiently. I was up and running by lunchtime. After 2 weeks of no heat it was a welcome sound. One even cut himself while working and wouldn’t leave to get it stitched until he finished. Shortly after they left Will the Electrician came to wrap things up with the same courtesy and efficiency. I am very hard to impress but they sure impressed me. I would recommend this company without hesitation. I will me a McDonalds customer for Many years to come.
