McDonald converted my oil burning, 25 year old boiler that was leaking water all over the floor.

Great experience from the start with Chris C giving us a comprehensive proposal with several options to choose from. Thanks to his expertise, we were able to select the best option with ease. Chris was also vital in getting us through the Mass Save process.

Installation was exceptional. Colin, Aaron and Mike were polite and professional. They cared about the project, quality and the occupants (including 2 cats and 3 dogs).

I manage large scale commercial projects in Boston and the McDonald team members are Top Notch. I would definitely recommend them in the future. Great job and many thanks to everyone!

McDonald's employees were completely professional efficient on time and cleaned up after themselves. They installed are diken Mini splits that are working perfectly. The installation was in December It's warmer now than it was before we have the Mini splits. They were here only 2 days and everything everything is complete. I can't say enough good things about them. If you are looking for someone to install Mini splits McDonald HVA saying is the team to go with.

We just had McDonald install a new furnace and central AC in our home. Chris walked us through the mass save loan process, saving us several steps, headaches and cash out of pocket. They were very professional, and everything was done smoothly, timely and with responsiveness. We received several quotes, and we felt McDonald the highest value with a reasonable price tag. Extra touch: the installer painted the vent cap red to match our brick home, which we definitely noticed and appreciated - totally above and beyond! We would definitely recommend.

We called several A/C companies and McDonald was most responsive. Chris came by a few days later and gave us a pretty thorough walk through on how things work and what the options were. We were undecided on exactly how to proceed and he gave us three options. We decided on a two indoor unit system, with a heat pump.
One or two weeks later the installation guys showed up, right on schedule, and they were good. No problems. Everything done in one day.
Was happy to find out they also do heating and boilers, etc. And plumbing. Good to know.

We have been McDonald customers for decades, and the company is great. If there are issues or complications, McDonald's comes through with skill, professionalism, and efficiency. Both the company and the staff are well worth five stars!

My first time needing to call service for our heating system and they were there to help us immediately. They were available the very next day, gave us the details of how much it was going to cost (which was VERY reasonable), and took care of the problem immediately. We had been waiting on other companies for weeks, but McDonald Heating was there for us when we needed them. Absolutely would go to them again!

I will absolutely recommend McDonald to all of my friends and family. They just wrapped up a dual fuel Heat Pump/AC installation in my home and I could not be any happier with the entire process. Barry, in their Sales Dept. came out on time, was very professional, explained all of my options and answered every one of my questions. He priced out a system that was perfect for our needs. The quote was fair and Barry explained every aspect of the quote in as much detail as I wanted. Bill, the Service Manager came out a week before the install occured, walked through the entire installation, drew up the plans for the system and answered all of my questions honestly and professionally. After hearing that retaining use of our Nest thermostats was important to my family, Bill went above and beyond, researched on our behalf, and confirmed that they could use our existing Nests instead of the stock thermostat that matched the system they were installing. When the installation was scheduled to start, the technicians arrived promptly, were very respectful of my family and our space and jumped right to work. The were polite and professional, making sure our house was cleaned up from the day's work before leaving each night. We absolutely made the right choice with McDonald. I look forward to continuing on as a service customer for years to come.

McDonald crew came to my house to install an AC system. I was very impressed on how neat , organized, professional, quick, skillful and polite they were. Needless to say that they did an excellent job. Also the price or cost of the job was priced very well. I will recommend them to anyone. I will give them an A+ for a job well done, an A+ on ethics, an A+ on courtesy, an A+ on everything. I am very, very happy all around. Guys, thank you very much. I purchased 2 Mitsubishi Heating/Cooling split units 2 years ago and selected McDonald to install them due to their superior price/warranty over the competitors I researched. They were professional and on time. After 2 years, the units were not working efficiently, and the McDonald team, specifically PJ, worked quickly to diagnose the issue. Additionally, they worked to educate us on what to expect for regular maintenance as well as enhanced maintenance every few years. McDonald's team is responsive to customer issues and knowledgeable in required repairs and maintenance.

From the get-go, Chris was very prompt and helpful with our questions about installing mini-split heat pumps in our home. He was able to offer different quotes and options so we could compare. The McDonald installation team was able to get up and running only a few days after we signed the paperwork, which was very important to us in the cold weather- as we didn't want to go without heat for too long. In fact, the transition between our heating systems was so quick we were never cold.

Left an inquiry for an ac that needed service over the weekend and they got back to us very quickly at the open of business Monday morning. They sent Adam out within 24 hours of calling, and he did an amazing job. He was right on-time, courteous, and was able to diagnose and fix the problem within the hour—he was fantastic. The fix was not nearly as expensive as I thought it would be. Would highly recommend McDonald and Adam, had a wonderful experience with their office and technician.

I had no heat. They came almost immediately, replaced the parts that weren't working, and made sure everything was functioning properly before they left. I was extremely pleased with the service.

Do not trust or use Mac Donald's as they have incompetent technicians that are trying to sell you expensive repairs that are not needed!!!!!!!!! Had a problem with a/c not cooling. Called on 5/31/22 technician said he could not service it was an electrical problem. Called electrician he said nothing electrically wrong. Called Mac Donald's to come back, after a short period of time he said it needed a new compressor for $6,402. I was suspicious and called Electrical Construction & Contracting to take a look. The technician spent an hour and determined it needed a Fan Motor not a compressor for $2,538. He installed the following day and it works fine. Attached are the 2 estimates that I received from each company.

We very recently had a semi-large commercial job done by McDonald at my work, adding 8 zones of supplemental trim heat to the office areas of our building with two new independent systems.

As a rule, I prefer not to call contractors into our building to perform work. We prefer to do the repairs and upgrades internally... it's generally easier, more cost-effective, and the job gets done better 9 times out of 10. McDonald was absolutely hands-down the best experience I've had with a contractor in decades. From the consultation to the final commissioning and everything in between, they were efficient, fast, honest, and also unexpectedly affordable.

I explained to their entire crew that we appreciate "function over form", yet they did a masterful job of tying everything in with attention to detail and "finishing touches" that most contractors blow off. They employ actual artisans who try and care, not just installers. They were extremely accommodating to our needs, and they moved about 10x faster than I would have expected. They were actually hard to keep up with, and I was the weakest link. I expected a 4-month long process, and I believe the entire project was completed within 3 1/2 weeks of us first contacting them (almost two weeks of that was our fault for scheduling conflicts on our end with keeping production going in our factory).

These guys are great. They do great quality work. I'm still shocked with the ease of the entire project, and I was beyond happy with the cost of it. They gave a quote, and the price did not change from as-quoted. How often does that happen?

These guys are a diamond in the rough. Definitely feel good about choosing them. Their product line is all top-notch offerings as well. The cost savings going forward are going to be substantial in supplementing and compensating for our old outdated and underperforming HVAC system.

I honestly can't say enough good things about this company. First positive experience I've had with a contractor in over a decade - both at my work and at my own residence:) A big thank you to everyone involved with helping us do the much-needed upgrades to our building! We are really happy with the work done by McDonald Heating Air Conditioning Plumbing, Inc. We've had new systems installed, included heat pumps, and we have had old systems repaired, including oil furnace and water pipes. Always, the technicians are very good at their work and pleasant people. Our yearly maintenance visits are smooth. The times when something breaks (in our very old house), McDonald always is swift and effective helping us. One time, a new component didn't work right, and the company took care of us, and the problem, extremely well. We recommend McDonald Heating always.

I have a 4 year old AC system. I have had issues with the system yearly, which has been disappointing. I would say most have been on Bryant and parts related. Yesterday I had a tech come out due to a blower motor issue. It was after 4 P.M. and the parts department was closed. Allen, the tech, said he would call first thing in the morning and get back to us. True to his word, he called around 7:00 A.M. and said he would be out to install ASAP. The owner, Michelle, also came out to address our concerns about the issues we have been having. I appreciate that the owner would come out directly and have a face to face conversation regarding our concerns. That form of customer service is rare today. You want everything to work like they are supposed to, and sometimes they do not and frustrations arise, especially when you are in a heat wave with no air conditioning. It is comforting to know there are still businesses out there that care about their customers. Many thanks to Michelle and the entire crew over at McDonald's for rectifying any problems we have had with our system.

I have been using McDonald Heating for the past five years and have had nothing but exceptional service. Every technician I’ve encountered has been professional, friendly and competent. Most recently, I replaced my entire HVAC and the whole process from start to finish was impeccable. They take their time with you and go over every detail of the project so you always know what’s going on. These guys truly have the best customer service and reliability.

From 1 boiler to 4 mini splits, couldn’t be happier. I’m not the easiest customer and these guys nailed it. Besides the great work, the crew was unbelievably nice and respectful. Glad I chose these guys and I’ll be using them moving forward.

We’ve worked with McDonald Heating Air Conditioning Plumbing, Inc. twice now. And both experiences have been excellent. They replaced our AC system about three years ago, so when it was time to replace our gas boiler, we didn’t hesitate to call them again.
Chris came out to provide the estimate and clearly explained what would be replaced and why. Both Chris and Bill also pointed out what components from our prior system could be safely retained to keep the project as cost‑effective as possible. Bill stopped by ahead of the installation to walk the technicians through the setup and ensure everyone was aligned on the work required. That level of preparation gave us a lot of confidence.
On installation day, the team was here the entire day and handled everything professionally and efficiently. The new Bosch boiler is running perfectly, and our heating is working exactly as expected.

We could not have asked for nicer people throughout the whole process.
First, we met with Chris who patiently answered all of our questions.
Next, we met Bill, the Project Manager, who possessed incredible credentials. My wife tested his knowledge by putting forth a multitude of questions and even fired off questions about our present heating system. Bill passed the "Test" with flying colors.
The final step was the actual installation and the McDonald's Team of Auburn stepped up again and showed their true colors, led by the amiable and personable Ray. My wife referred to Ray as a "gem": so patient, so efficient and so kind.

Yes indeed, the mini splits were enjoyed & appreciated especially during the "Dog Days" of August; we both agreed that the mini splits installed by McDonald's of Auburn was a good decision.
