Reviews of local pros in Brookline, Massachusetts

I recommend this company within Massachusetts, they met all my requests and did the job with excellence, just the way I wanted it done.

Wellynson and his team renovated three bathrooms in our house and we are very happy with the outcome. In fact, there is a “wow” response from many of our friends. They do not cut corner and do a quality job on every task. Wellynson communicated well during project planning and execution.

The kitchen remodel turned out great.

We worked with Greater Boston on our kitchen and bathroom remodel and were very happy with the end result. They were very attentive and incredibly professional. I highly recommend them and are considering hiring them again for an addition we are looking to make to our garage.

Wellynson and his partner finished my basement work. My experience with them was very positive right from day 1. Wellynson was very flexible to accommodate my specific customization requirements, material preference and finishing needs. My basement has an open floor plan and was about 1400 sq ft and. Areas included media area, full bar, full bat, gym, and storage. Overall a very satisfying experience.

Highly recommend them.

Our basement was completed by Greater Boston Contractors, and they did an excellent job. They worked with all of our ideas and helped us finish the project to the highest standard possible.

This team did top notch quality work on our bathroom and laundry renovation. They were very attentive and responsive to our needs and worked with us throughout the process to make sure our expectations were met.

We hired GBC in 2025 to renovate our basement and they did a great job, I'd recommend them to anyone.

We had our unfinished basement finished by Greater Boston Contractors, the first day meeting up with them to discuss our plans we were very pleased how detailed they are and their whole team, they were very professional in everything that they did and they worked fast which I was very surprised. If I have another project to do or have any family members or friends I will surely refer them to this company.

The team finished our basement and installed a drainage system/sump pump in early 2024. We're very happy with the work and would be more than happy to work with him again. He was very responsive to any issue that came up and worked to ensure we were happy with everything. He was also very helpful during the quote process in helping me think through design decisions. Highly recommend!

We are VERY happy with our newly finished basement (family room/playroom, guest room/office, and full bathroom)! We chose GBC over a referral from a friend because of how impressed we were with Wellynson’s expertise and knowledge. Wellynson was very patient while we waited for our HOA to approve the project. Once the project started, we were pleased with the GBC crew and subcontractors’ work. Alyson was extremely easy to work with and we appreciate his communication, knowledge, and assistance. If anything came up, he was right on it with a solution. GBC also stayed within the completion period they had on contract which was very appreciated. Everyone who stepped into our home was friendly and worked hard. GBC’s attention to detail is very impressive and we are excited to make memories in our new space. We are blown away by the end results & will recommend GBC’s services to family, friends and neighbors!

I decided to finish my basement after 3 years of nurturing the idea here in Lakeville, MA. First, I wanted a company that would do an incredible job at a fair price and so a couple contractors came in to see the space, and give a cost estimate. After careful consideration and vetting, I finally chose Greater Boston Contractors. I am here today to attest that they did a good job and exceeded expectations. I was under a tight deadline because my family was growing and I needed extra space for the living area, a home office, a kids play room, and an additional bathroom/shower. Greater Boston Contractors professionally took me through every step, from permit application to the final coat of paint , to the final inspection. Due to financial constraints, my original plan was to complete phase one ( about 400 sq. feet), then do phase two much later. But when I saw how spectacular the first phase turned out to be, I quickly contacted them to finish the second phase without further ado.

Greater Boston Contractors crew were professional, experienced, responsible and handled the whole project flawlessly. They were easy to work with, kept in touch throughout to ensure I understood every step, and made sure the work done was of high quality. Choosing them over others, I generally felt like we were a priority, and not just a number. Matthew Santana did a great job keeping in touch with me and explaining the next steps. He never got tired answering questions even on his off days! Hoepers Alyson was very professional and outstanding. He was quite accommodating, paid attention to details, and above all he was a very easy to team with person. Ramon did great tiling the bathroom, as it came out looking stunningly amazing, my daughter loves it. The list of the workers is long, but in a nutshell, I enjoyed working with each one of them. They were clean, friendly, polite and stayed late to make sure my project was completed. I am definitely recommending Greater Boston Contractors for your next project. They finished my project on time without any hiccups. There is no need to procrastinate, try them today and join the club of happy and satisfied clients. Cheers Greater Boston Contractors!

Excellent Basement Renovation Experience

We recently had our basement finished including a full bath, by Greater Boston Contractors and we couldn't be happier with the results. Wellynson and his team did a terrific job ! From start to finish, the team was professional, efficient, and incredibly skilled.

The craftsmanship is top-notch. The walls are perfectly aligned, the flooring is seamless, and the custom cabinetry Wellynson and his team installed is flawless. They paid attention to every detail, ensuring that all the finishes were exactly as we had envisioned.

Throughout the project, the communication was excellent. They kept us informed at every stage, and there were no surprises. They were very receptive to my input and made adjustments where necessary.

The project was completed on time, which was a pleasant surprise given the scope of work. They stuck to the schedule without compromising quality.

They made sure to keep the work area clean and tidy throughout the project. They also took care of all the post-project cleanup, leaving our home spotless.

I highly recommend Wellynson for any basement renovation. They transformed a dull, underutilized space into a beautiful, functional area that our kids will now enjoy for years to come. If you’re looking for a reliable and skilled contractor, Wellynson is the person to hire!

I hired them to finish my unfinished basement, and overall, I’m happy with the result. The work was completed on time, and the finished space meets my expectations. The team was professional, and everything was done to a good standard.

That said, the only issue I ran into was that there seemed to be multiple project managers overseeing the work at different points, and there were times when it felt like they weren’t on the same page. I ended up having to repeat the same details or clarify things multiple times, which caused a few breakdowns in communication.

Despite that, the job was completed as promised, and I’d still recommend them for reliable work.

Working with Greater Boston Contractors was the BEST experience we ever had in completing any of our home improvement projects.

Wellynson and his team did a tremendous job in completing the project within the time and in a professional way. The level of commitment and dedication you can see by the finish and look they will bring to your old space . Our dull, cold basement is now transformed into a multipurpose area which consists of well crafted family entertainment space, a full bath, a bar area , under stairs study nook and utility room to store items .

They are also very good in suggesting multiple ideas that would match your need and that too within the budget. They were flexible enough to answer any questions, consider our point of view and able to adapt to any change in our project plan which was due to additional request.

Their impressive work ethics and dedication has gained our trust and we have already recommended them to some of our neighbors.

Therefore, please do not hesitate to reach out to them if you are thinking on your upcoming home remodeling projects - you will only be happy by their work !

I recommend GBC if you want a team who is professional, prompt, fair regarding price, and does quality work. I had multiple rooms that needed drywall installed as well as badly scratched hardwood floors that needed to be refinished. Greater Boston Contractors had great communication throughout the process & and they did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. They were also very quick to help with some additional plumbing work that wasn't in the original scope. I plan to hire them again for my next home project. Great job GBC!
