Recently rescued a bunny and tried here for some supplies, as ive been disapointed in other stores selections. Was not disapointed at all. This is our new go-to store for all our supplies. The woman we asked for advice looked like she had just clocked off and was getting stuff for her own bunny, and was extremly kind and knowledgable. Everyone was nice in general. Prices were amazing, cheaper than pet co or any other big stores.10/10

I adopted my bunny white holland lop from this place..Excellent attitude and even let me hold her a couple of times before bringing her home..She has the sweetest temperament and the cutest personality.
Thanks, again for my baby girl. -
I’ve been coming here for 15+ years. They always have everything I need as far as my pets and garden goes as well as other stuff. The pet side manager Jasmine is the best. She’s always there to help whenever I have questions and gives great advice for any animal needs. Thanks for everything!

The place is great for all your yard and gardening needs. The people are nice and there are plenty of them to help. Bring your doggos if you visit, but keep in mind that there are a bunch of bite-level bins. If your pooch is quick, it could add up 😁

Bought a new Weber grill recently and was very pleased with the delivery service, removal of old grill and the demonstration John gave me. He is so knowledgeable and taught me things about my new grill I would have never known. Definitely worth buying from these guys then the big box stores. Thank you so much John!

I don’t think y’all should get bunnies from here, another customer asked ab a bunny and they knew NOTHING ab it. Now other bunnies, the assistant manager Raven sold bunnies… these said bunnies died bc they froze to death in her garage with no heating system. How does ANYONE do that? She also has killed most of her pets she brings home from the store. Bearded dragon in a terrible tank. And she continues to care for animals…. These poor animals. Even her own mother said she can’t keep them alive. Now in these photos the bunnies she has are caged up and not clean and that picture… is in her garage with no heating system. Said bunny is dead. That bearded dragon.. also dead. One hide, red light. Red lights are terrible, repti carpet also terrible as it can rip out nails, a bearded dragon 40 gallon as a BABY. 4x2x2 for anything bigger. If you cannot afford it, do not own it if you cannot let it live all the years it should live up to. Having ANY Animal for less than 2 years is sad when they should last A LOT longer than that… I honestly think ITS SO CRAZY. That this store deletes what I have to say as well. ITS THE TRUTH. Why have a manager that has so many animals not care for them right and keep them in her basement and garage… she has a small home for all these animals she has, and none of them can last full term. Stop deleting my review when it’s only the truth and her pictures of her animals are there FOR PROOF. This is absolutely disgusting behavior. Not to mention my boyfriend got escorted out the store “for trespassing” while we were shopping just bc she didn’t want to see him… only shows who she is. Now here’s some more bunnies all caged up in the garage no heating system and that baby kitten ? Outside w the goats 😭. Bunny that was her “prize possession” name was beans died bc she couldn’t take care of its breathing problems…. Poor ducklings in a CARDBOARD BOX. She has such a small home for all the animals she has, ITS CRAZY

We come here frequently for pet supplies for a guinea pig, 2 large parrots, two dogs (one with special needs) and a cat. The prices can't be beat. The real star is the staff. Every single person here is polite, knowledgeable, patient and welcoming. I have a 3 year old in tow and everyone always makes time to humor her, giving attention and answering questions (that usually don't make sense lol she is 3 after all) and giving her stickers. They let her see the large pets, like the rabbits and guinea pigs. I love the "homemade" dog treats. They are inventive and unique often with seasonally appropriate designs. And they have tons of items that aren't carried anywhere else. I've never had a single bad experience here in well over a decade. I love the little kitsch section with housewares, decorate items, candles, cards and neat little things thatyou doubt commonly see. The variety I the garden area is great too. We buy flowers pumping and little trees here as the price is superb and the plants are hardy and well taken care of. But mostly yeah, the employees are superstars that truly seem to enjoy their jobs and are eager to please!

I love A.W. Browns. About a week ago my daughter lost her beloved hampster Patricia. She was the best little hampster. So gentle, sat and let my daughter hold her while reading, watching tv, etc. My daughter would put little hats on her and put her on little furniture, and the hampster loved it. (Patricia was also purchased at Browns.) I called the store around 9:15 in the morning, looking to see if they had any hampsters in stock. My daughter had recently lost hers, and was ready for a new one. I didn't want to bring her if there were none to pick from. The woman on the phone was so kind and knowledgeable. She was not hurried at all, and took her time telling me about the selection of hampsters they had at the moment. I left the conversation smiling and excited to bring my daughter in. That afternoon, I showed up with my daughter and we headed straight to the hampsters. Almost immediately we were greeted and asked if we needed some help. I said we were looking for a hampster. She asked me if I had called earlier. (Keep in mind this was 7 hours later.) I said I had, and the woman informed me that they were expecting me. She had been told about my earlier phone call and she would be right back, because another woman was somewhere in the back and she had also been brought into the conversation after my am call, and she felt they had the perfect hampster for us. I already could not believe the service. The chain of workers who had discussed my phone call this morning, and were ready to help me seemed to be endless. We were showed a hampster while we waited and were told it was a "boy." Immediately I saw my daughters face and knew it had to be a girl. We were then shown the most perfect hampster, the one that they had said would be just right for us. Before, anything was said, I looked at the employee, and whispered "it's a girl." She then said "It's a girl, " and my daughters face lit up. She let my daughter pet and hold the hampster (Now named Bella.) It was love at first sight for my daughter. Bella was boxed up and handed to my smiling daughter. We were shown the food that was currently the diet Bella was on. The employee wished my daughter well and then whispered, " Mom, just so you know, it really is a girl." I couldn't help but smile. At the register the employee there was also all smiles. She interacted with my 8 year old daughter and listened to her talk about her last hampster. She asked her questions about the possibility of a name for this one, and the color of her cage. Of course it is pink. She wished my daughter luck and fun and we were on our way. My daughter smiled the entire way home and so did I.
The store is impeccably clean. All the staff are knowledgeable and super kind, and most of all the animals that they have are amazing. We have never seen a dirty cage, and every animal they have is handled so they will be the most friendly pet. There was even an employee walking around with a bird that was for sale. That is how well kept their animals are. Big pet chains just can not compare when it comes to the excellence that is A.W. Browns. I will always choose Browns. -
PLEASE READ:
I recently walked in to the pet area of the store and noticed a large bunny in a very small cage. The cage had a sign that said “adoption fee: &40”. The bunny could barely move in the cage. I spoke with the employee in the department and asked about the bunny. She told me that she had been surrendered by the owner a week prior to that day. I asked how often they take the bunny out of the cage. She explained to me that they don’t have the time to take her out. So, basically the bunny had been stuck in there for an entire week.
I went home with a very unpleasant feeling. The next day I called to see if the bunny was still there and she was. I went back after work that day and the poor thing was still sitting in the tiny cage. I asked for information on her and they had nothing. That’s all she told me was that she was full grown. I adopted her.
After getting her to my home and opening the cage, she could barely even hop. It was obvious she hadn’t moved like that in a while. Also, after doing about 30 seconds of research I found out that this bunny was a Flemish Giant breed and was approximately 5 months old and will het to be as big as 25lbs (we took her to the vet to confirm this).
My point is, why would the store take in a bunny and if they couldn’t give it adequate accommodations? Also, why didn’t they have any information about her? It was not difficult to find. I am extremely disappointed and it’s so sad to see these kinds of things happening.
She is the sweetest thing and I am so glad I stopped by that day and adopted her. I love her so much ❤️ -
I personally had gotten all my hamsters growing up from here and they were always healthy and easily handled. I had my dad go in for me and got a winter white dwarf hamster for my daughter. He said the girl helping him was great and the hammy has been healthy and fun! Best place around here to get small animals 😁

It's got 99% of what I needed for my lawn. Also, the plants they sell there are amazing, variety and quality.

Just love this store! The staff is so helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Very laid back, love that it's local and employee owned. Their selection of pet and garden products is amazing!

Brown's is the go to place for all your pet, garden and lawn needs, including livestock, horses, etc., it has it all and they are reasonably priced. You can always count on Vera being a help! Their array of lawn care items is unmatched and their knowledge of everything from pets, wildlife to lawns and gardens is the best around! This is a one stop shopping store that has everything!

Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice pet store.. but you might want to do your research before you talk to certain associates. The assistant manager Raven handles a lot of the animals and sells them. But what an outsider looking in can’t see is Raven doesn’t know how to properly take care of animals. In general. She has her own animals which majority of them have died in her care due to ignorance and neglect. I wouldn’t buy an animal from someone who froze bunnies to death in a garage.

This store is amazing! They have everything you could ever need for your pet. From dogs to cats to small animals like birds and reptiles, they have it! I noticed their selection is a lot better than retail pet stores, they have healthier food and name brand as well. They have beds, litter, toys, pet care, and so much more. The staff are super friendly and outgoing, definitely a cheery vibe all around! Even though their prices are a bit more expensive than retail pet stores, I will still choose to buy from here because I know they are a local business! Shop local yall!!

The best possible place for all your needs!

It is one of the best places to get anything for your dog, cat, or almost any pet. Very clean and organized. They have an incredible variety of healthy and good food for your pet.

I like this place. It feels local, and it feels like it is laid back and easygoing. If I think about it, I will gladly take a drive to get my dog food and bird seed. I am sure that the store offers so much more, and I am vowing to spend time in the store this year to explore the gardening side of the store. I think I read somewhere that it became employee owned recently, so I would love to support that. If you want a great atmosphere with great, helpful people, give it a shot.

Not a average pet store ...they are amazing and actually care about the animals unlike other pet stores ...I been going there for years now... great place

Billy was very helpful and personable and answered all my questions while filling my propane tank! A fine young individual with natural people skills!

I enjoy the local appeal of AW Browns. They carry good quality soil and have a knowledgeable staff. I frequent Browns because it is NOT a hassle to get in and out of the store. Going to the other stores seems like a day trip, and I never can find what I am looking for, or I have to settle with whatever they have.
