Orion Landscape Design really helped us out.

When we paved our driveway and parking area,our initial landscape person (not Orion), did not make any suggestions for rainwater management. There was an issue with drainage at the low point of the yard.
We contacted Orion landscape Design to help fix this issue. They addressed the issue by designing a drainage system with dry wells. They were on time, friendly and professional and completed the work on schedule.
They had many other additional ideas for the property and we look forward to working with them in the future.

I want to thank the Orion landscaping team for making my vision for a patio at my condo come to light. They did an amazing job and even better than expected. Miguel, your passion for what you do is obviously shared with, and exhibited by everyone that had a hand in the process. Thank you again for the outstanding outcone.

Orion Landscaping was working on a job down the street in Acton and I asked if they could help with a project at my house. The owner came to my house and looked over everything and came up with a great plan. In the month of December and January they finished the job and did an amazing job. The two workers were here at 8 am every morning and worked hard until the sun went down. They came up with clever solutions to tricky problems and did an absolutely fantastic job. I am an engineer and extremely picky. There was one minor problem with the wall I pointed out and the next day they fixed it perfectly. I would recommend them to anyone. At the end of every day they cleaned up and at the end of the job they left everything very clean. In general, they went above and beyond to make my backyard look great.

I had 3 quotes on replacing my wooden front steps to granite. Orion came out and was extremely pleasant and thorough with the scope of work and what I wanted done. I gave Miguel the job because of his professionalism. He was able to start within 5 days of me accepting. His team showed up on time on a hot AND humid day and worked all day with demo. Miguel came the second day for the placement of the granite landing and steps. It was done in 2 days and looks fantastic. I love it. I will definitely call them again for future projects.

I would VERY highly recommend Orion Design & Landscape for any outdoor/hardscape needs. Miguel/Rafael and the team provide great end-to-end service (consulting, design, implementation, follow-up), the quality of the work is fantastic, and they are simply a pleasure to work with.
We have employed Orion for two projects. The first one (in 2021-22) was part of a large renovation of a 200-year old residential/commercial property in Groton MA. The project required the following:
1) Building a 3-foot concrete skirt around the perimeter of the building (to support the old foundation and keep water out of the basements)
2) Excavating the outer side of the basement to allow a commercial tenant easy access to the space, install outside granite stairs leading down to the basement door, and create an attractive stone hardscape and flower bed around the area.
3) Removing from the front of the property beds/bushes that had been permitted to grow wild for decades (and rot into the building in some places), install proper stone drainage, and then install new graded/manicured mulch beds.

The second project (in 2023-24) was a complete renovation of an ocean-front backyard. The Orion team:
1) Built a beautiful inner-retaining wall (16" thick, with rugged stone facades -- great mason work) along the back of the house to keep ocean storm water (when it came over the outer sea wall) away from the house
2) Installed drainage systems along the interior of both the sea wall and the retaining wall to direct sea water away from the property
3) Removed the top 2-feet of land (dirt/stone/debris) from the yard, and then replaced it with graded loam and topsoil for the installation of a sod lawn
3) Designed and then built a stone stairway (carved out through a side retaining wall), providing access to the beach. The work included installing a steel gate and a small steel fence to keep trespassers away.

As I noted, their work is meticulous. They listened carefully to our needs/concerns, went through several iterations of design with us, and then did a great job of execution.

We couldn't be happier with the work that Orion Design & Landscape completed for us. They designed two separate parking areas, one with a retaining wall. They worked very quickly and efficiently and had our project done in just a few days! They even went above and beyond adding some nice touches with large boulders and a set of steps. It really looks amazing and Miguel and the team were very kind and professional, working late and always cleaning up before they left. They were prompt and reliable! I'm looking forward to using them for my next project and would highly recommend Miguel and his team at Orion Design & Landscape!

Miguel and his team from Orion Landscape are amazing. They did work at our old home and when our new yard was very overgrown they came and trimmed everything beautifully, edged all of the beds and just made our new home look amazing! They are all incredibly hard workers, friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Orion Landscape design for any outdoor work you need completed.

Miguel was very professional and has a hard working group of men that work for him. We had two retaining walls put in, and had our front walkway done over. Miguel and crew listened to our suggestions and provided us with a beautiful design on our front entrance. The men work extremely hard and cleaned up after every long hard day. We couldn’t be happier with results.

We had 12 huge 10+ foot hedges removed from our home. The owner of Orion, Miguel was very responsive and gave me a great competitive price, he also started work on the job the very next day! While on my property everyone was extremely professional and took the time to make sure everything was done well. When the job was finished they leveled and seeded the dirt where the hedges had been . They also made sure to fix and seed any other rough spots from their truck or that they saw on our lawn. Miguel also asked if my two sons (1.5 and 3) who love all things construction and truck related if they wanted to sit in and check out the excavator, they absolutely loved it! Over all definitely definitely a good experience working with Orion. We will 100% be using them again in the future.

Miguel and his crew are just the best! Easy to work with and skilled, they know their craft but are willing to listen to suggestions too. The men work incredibly hard, clean up at the end of every long day and keep coming back until the finished work meets Miguel's exacting standard of excellence. We are thrilled with our new driveway, both the beautiful brick on the surface and the sophisticated drainage system buried below.
PS Miguel always answers his phone. That's not the case with all contractors.

Miguel and his crew replaced our failing stairs with what I can only call a work of art! They spent the needed time to get it right and Miguel was very pleasant to work with and so was his crew. They did not skimp on materials and have a great attention to detail. If you want your projects done with a fine eye for quality, I highly recommend!

We just finished a backyard patio project with Orion Landscape Design. We had a vision of how we wanted to transform an old cracked cement patio into a more usable outdoor patio space. Additionally, we wanted to add a line of arborvitae to the back of the yard for privacy. I met with Miguel in early spring and told him what we wanted to do. He listened, took some measurements and a few notes. He came back within a few days with a fair price and we decided to move forward.

A couple months later after the snow had melted we met again to go over the details. I was amazed at how Miguel remembered every detail of what we had talked about months before. A few days later the crew started with the demo and preparation for the new patio. We have several mature flower beds and a few grape vines around the property. We were very appreciative of how careful they were to relocate them to another part of the yard and replant them.

The working crew varied from day-to-day as the project progressed but they always showed up early and stayed late every day. They were all very professional, courteous, and hardworking.

Two weeks later the project is complete and we couldn't be happier with the result. The patio was built to our specification and then some. Miguel took our vision and enhanced it, adding a few distinguishing features that gave the patio a fantastic look. The row of 6' arborvitae are installed which add a wall of privacy to what had been open to the neighboring houses.

Miguel and the Orion Crew showed up when they said they would. They finished the project on time for the agreed upon price. Miguel was very easy to work with and explained every idea he had for the enhancement of the project. It was a great experience working with Orion Landscape Design. We are extremely happy with their overall professionalism and the workmanship of every detail of the project. We would highly recommend using them for your next project.

I reached out to Miguel to help with a backyard playground I had built for the kids last fall. The idea was to build a retaining wall with draining and border around the playground and fill with playground-safe wood chips. The end result was exactly what I had in mind. Miguel showed up only days after our first conversation to provide a quote, and though it was higher than we were expecting the project to cost, they worked very efficiently and listened to all of my wishes.

Should we have future landscape construction projects, I will undoubtedly be reaching back out to Miguel!

Miguel and his team were so easy to work with it felt like a partnership, we were working together to make sure expectations were met. He was able to give me ideas and solutions to drainage issues we have in our yard as well as hardscaping idea for eye sores. Everyday his team showed up early morning and worked way more than 8 hours!! They were so polite and respectful. My husband and I had a great experience with Miguel. He was attentive, fast for scheduling a free estimate. Gave us great feedback on what could be done to our yard. We contacted Orion regarding a repair on a failing BIG wall, about 120 ft long, 8 ft at the highest. Miguel was out to look at it within a week, shortly after his visit we had a quote breaking down all the costs. This was a HUGE job, we spoke with three other hardscape companies none of which wanted the work due to the complexity of the project. Orion is a one stop shop, they provided an engineer, they own all the necessary equipment, pulled all the appropriate permits and have a crew of some really hard-working guys. You won’t be dealing with sub-contractors, you’ll be working with Orion. Miguel and his crew started as soon as all the permits were approved and continued to impress us throughout the whole process starting at 7AM and most days finishing work in the dark including weekends. He told me when he has a job, he treats it like it’s his house which couldn’t be more true, they really went the extra mile. We got snow one morning, before I could get out there one of his guys was shoveling and putting salt down in the driveway. When rain was in the forecast they left the whole yard covered with a tarp to prevent erosion. Not only did he and his crew deconstruct, excavate and rebuild an amazing wall he helped along the way with a shed foundation, groundwork for a fence along with a couple additional projects which truly transformed our yard to an amazing space. During construction he also helped neighbors which really kept the peace! I wouldn’t consider using anyone else in this industry, if you’re looking for perfection these are your guys. My wife and I couldn’t be happier with the finished product.

Working with Miguel and the Orion team was amazing. From the estimate to the completion of the job, they answered all of our questions and made sure we were happy with the work through the entire project.

We had our front gardens and walkway replace. They did an amazing job with our new walkway. It is beautiful and safe for our family. Our new gardens helped improve our curb appeal! We had new granite entrance steps and a Techo Bloc walkway installed in record time and Miguel was hands-on with his team getting things just right every day of the project. When you move to a new town and rely solely on recommendations from the locals it’s a dream to be recommended a company, such as, Orion. From start to finish it was a wonderful experience. I first received a call from his receptionist to let me know that the owner Miguel would be in contact and he’d be swinging by to discuss exactly what I’d like to have done and to survey the land/walkway to measure and configure an estimate. Miguel showed up promptly and took the time to thoroughly explain all that would need to be done to pull off the project. In addition to showing me many other projects that his company has completed for reference as to what the outcome would be. I received a very reasonable quote within a couple of days. After two additional estimates from other companies it was an easy decision that Orion would be the company of choice. After accepting the quote I reached out to see when the projected start date would be fully expecting the fall. After hearing from Miguel the receptionist reached back out to tell me the start would be the week of July 4! The morning of July 5th, Miguel and his two wonderful laborers arrived and started right away. It was unbelievable what they accomplished in two and a half days! I could not be more grateful or thankful for the job that was done! It came out absolutely beautiful! The compliments from all who have seen have been top notch! Thank you Miguel and company for this wonderful experience!
