We hired Gold Beech Construction to install heated floors and update two bathrooms with new tile floors and new bathroom cabinetry. Initially, we were just thinking how great it would be to have warm floors in the winter, but after the job started their team quickly diagnosed the cause of several issues that had been plaguing our house and the job turned into both a bathroom remodeling and a construction remediation repair job. At the job’s completion, we could not be more happy we decided to do this critical (initially indulgent) project and so happy to have picked Gold Beech Construction to do the work! Besides doing a spotless job, with an eye for perfection, always on time, and willing to work with our scheduling, the Gold Beech team diagnosed two critical problems with our bathrooms; they explained to us what we needed, how they would fix it, and quickly purchased and installed all the materials, with the highest level of professionalism and knowledgeable advice. The team traced an old water damage issue, cleaned all affected wood and replaced the subfloor before starting the remodeling job. With all of this extra work, they kept us informed and showed us everything they were discovering, adjusted the timelines of the job professionally and kept all extra work reasonably priced. We should also add, that this work was done during the pandemic and was truly invasive, having work being done on our first and third floors. During the job, Gold Beech Construction put in a huge effort to seal off the work areas, minimize any travel through our home and was conscientious about using air filtration and masks. In the end, the bathrooms came out wonderfully. The team coordinated work with our cabinet supplier, brought in an expert tile installer, electrician and plumber and we never had a problem throughout this renovation that ended up being far more complicated and essential for the health of our home than we had anticipated. We are so grateful Gold Beech Construction created two beautifully renovated bathrooms and completely eliminated multiple destructive problems! We highly recommend the Gold Beech team for any construction project! As an final comment, we are very impressed and extremely grateful about the way the company designed its workflow through our house during the COVID shutdown. It’s yet another example of their thoughtfulness and consideration of their clients, and sub-contractors.
An amazing construction company run by a smart, creative, conscientious and caring owner! Chris and his team truly are amazing - the quality of their work is outstanding. Normally I am wary of hiring independent construction groups as many do shoddy or half-assed work. Gold Beech is the opposite - it's like working with an artist who also understands timelines. I can't recommend them highly enough!
We had a serious leak at the juncture of an outside brick wall and a flat rubber roof that two other contractors - and thousands of dollars - didn't fix. Gold Beech Construction was the first company to explain why we had the leak and more importantly, how they were going to fix it. Gold Beech Construction took great care in our house by covering floors and putting up plastic barriers around all the work areas and always wore masks in the house. They were great at communicating the timing of the project. We will never use another contractor. We have now used Gold Beech for a couple of other projects and they continue to exceed expectations. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.
We had a great experience working with Gold Beech Construction on our upstairs remodel. We had a tight schedule with a baby on the way and really appreciated them working with us to get our project started quickly and keep things moving as quickly as possible during Covid. Their team was great with communication, very organized and always available by text, email or phone for questions and updates. When there were minor issues during the project, they always let us know immediately and quickly came to a resolution - no surprises for us at the end of the project and they really went above and beyond to make sure everything was completely taken care of. Although our budget ran over (as they do!), they were always upfront about extra costs / work and really worked with us to manage the budget and scope. We're happy with the finished space and the quality of the work and would happily work with Gold Beech Construction again!
We hired Chris and his Gold Beech team to renovate the lower level of our home to create an elegant, single-story residence for my mother, in which she could age in place. What Gold Beech did was beyond what we imagined was possible. We found great value in the pre-construction/design process and are confident that the renovation was far better because of it. Gold Beech learned in detail what was important to us aesthetically and took aging in place needs into consideration at every level of design. The designer reimagined several spaces, resulting in greater ease of use and a better flow to the whole level, which was a wonderful surprise, exceeding even the high expectations we had. Chris and his team delivered expert skill and an obsession with detail to every aspect of the construction. They gave the same deep attention to hidden aspects of the construction work we might never see as they did to the more visible ones. Each person on the team was experienced, very hard working, and focused on doing the best work that could be done. They were also some of the nicest people and always a pleasure to interact with. The workspace was safe and well organized and cleaned every day, demonstrating respect for the team and our home. The professionalism of the Gold Beech core team was exceptional. Everyone understood exactly what was happening when, and why, and could communicate it to us. As questions came up, Chris and his team were extremely responsive, and issues were addressed promptly and fully. Financial matters were also transparent with detailed invoices and regular communication with Chris. There were no surprise costs. We felt well informed and comfortable with what was happening throughout. Gold Beech earned our trust and confidence every day.
We had several home repairs involving plumbing, electrical and painting tasks. Chris and his team were reliable, and communicated promptly throughout the entire process. His staff were friendly and professional while on the job, and they ensured that site preparation and clean-up were careful and thorough. We were very satisfied with the final results, and highly recommend Gold Beech's services.
