Nick was my guy from B&S and he was perfectly on time, extremely professional and friendly to work with. After examining our AC unit, he described clearly the options that I had for maintenance and laid out my options and price points. I made the best decision for our home and was very pleased with today’s interaction. Big thanks to Nick!

Every encounter with the various teams and individuals has been professional, pleasant, and consistent inclusive of the office staff taking our calls and schedualing the work. It doesn’t get any better than this. Personally I have found each of the young men that have been in our home to be respectful, courteous, informative,
patient and well trained in their job.

These guys did a really great job. Came in on budget, friendly, informative, and cleaned up thoroughly when the job was done. Pipe work was clean and showed someone who takes pride in their work. The folks at the office were friendly and easy to deal with for scheduling.

Chris from Bartlett and Steadman helped with a few toilet repairs today. Chris was nice, efficient, and gave me a few options for repairs to ensure it fit my budget. I would definitely recommend!

I was very pleased with the plumbing work. The technicians did excellent work in replacing a very old water cut off valve to my washing machine and placing it at a higher level which gave me more room to turn it and for my washing machine. Mike B. did our annual boiler service. He explained what he planned to do and why. After he finished he reviewed what he had done. There were a few additional cleaning items he needed to do. He explained the benefits of all the tasks. He is very professional, friendly and helpful. He is an excellent representative of B&S. I highly recommend Bartlett & Steadman. They do it right!

I had a water leak due to an old dishwasher. My whole kitchen got flooded. A repairman came within 30 minutes of my call to fix the leak. He determined the problem and got my water back on. I am so grateful!

As is often the case, an "emergency" happens at night or over the weekend. In our case, we lost heat and hot water on Saturday afternoon and after a cold night and waking up to a cold morning and no hot water, I made the call to Bartlett & Steadman for help.

Jason was very quick to call us back and very quick to come to the house. He quickly checked and identified the problem and was also quick in fixing it. All throughout the visit he kept us informed and reassured us that we would have both heat and hot water soon.

Daniel C. was awesome. He had to go to a funeral and didn’t know this was gonna be a huge break in my water line but he still stayed fix the problem caped it off so it wouldn’t continue leaking down to my first floor and basement. He was really good and honest.

We’ve been big fans of Bartlett & Steadman for many years. Our house is a fairly typical 1920s home: lots of repairs, upgrades, etc over the years. B&S’s work is my platinum standard compared with just about ever other plumbing/heating vendor we’ve hired (or who may have been indirectly hired by the contractor overseeing certain major renovations we’ve made.) B&S isn’t ‘cheap’ but their fees are fair and competitive—especially when considering their equally excellent support of any work they’ve done..

This most recent service call, with Kyle and Elise, is just such an example. Our gas fireplace began malfunctioning in December. First service call was only temporarily successful as the unit began malfunctioning shortly afterwards. A call to B&S was met not with any resistance or excuses but rather an apology and a speedy follow-up visit. A defective component was deemed to be the real problem and they ordered it for me under warranty of that first repair visit. This final visit with Kyle and Elise was fast, thorough, and they did their usual excellent job of explaining to me what to look for if any future issues arise. And they didn’t leave until we were all 100 perfect satisfied that their repair was successful. A-1 work on all counts. I highly recommend Bartlett & Steadman and have every intention of calling them again if/when needed.

The plumber who arrived right on time did a fantastic job. The problem with our bathtub overflow valve was explained very clearly. It was also fixed! Bartlett and Steadman does it again!

Unfortunately, it seems that things are changing at Bartlett Steadman since their recent buyout by Townsend. I called two weeks ago today and set a up a service appointment taking their earliest appointment which was for a full week out during a 1-4 pm time slot. My heating system is operating ok but has air in the system that needs to be removed so it’s not urgent and I expressed that, but it needs to be corrected. Well, my appointment date came and went , no technician, no phone call. I called their office at 4:30 and got the answering service. The next day I called and they couldn’t explain why no one completed the service call but that they could send somebody out another FULL week later which is today during an 8-12 time slot. Well , once again no one showed up…something has gone very wrong with the management of this company.

The air duct cleaning team from a well-regarded company in Marblehead are truly unrivaled. Their team, especially Ruben, demonstrated incredible patience and accuracy throughout the service. Ruben's air duct cleaning was not only impeccable but he also finished it in a remarkably short time. His superior service is truly praiseworthy, and should I need their services again in Marblehead, Ruben would undoubtedly be my first choice. He did an outstanding job.
