When our electrician retired after 30 years of service on our home, we would never find anyone to replace the great service we were used to with our old company. That all changed when VMA was highly recommended to us. We were not disappointed! Victor and his team were on time, very professional, neat, clean and did outstanding work for a fair price. They installed all brand new T.V's, cable, WIFI, new lightening, new sound system, outlets, upgrade panel and generator hook up. I would highly recommend VMA for anyone looking for electrical work. We definitely found our new electrical company and hopefully they do not retire any time soon. Great job!

VMA got me a next day appointment to fix an electrical issue. The office staff is excellent - kept me in the loop through e-mail (Lorrayne is an outstanding communicator). The electrician who came was excellent, had the problem fixed quickly and had enough time left over to put up a new lighting fixture for us. My overall impression was that this company was easy to work with and they did everything quickly with quality work. I'd hire them again.

VMA did the electrical work for my kitchen renovation (including installing recessed lighting). Tom, Lorrayne, and their electricians were great throughout the whole process, very professional and the work was very reasonably priced. They had someone at the house during the inspection in case there were any questions or issues from the inspector. There was some buzzing in the recessed lights that I noticed after the final work, but they stood behind their work and resolved it quickly.

We got ~5 different electrical price quotes and VMA Electric was among the least expensive, inspired the most confidence in their expertise, and was extremely responsive. Everyone we interacted with from VMA was polite and professional. We had one issue (I believe with a loose wire causing a short) shortly after completion of the job; they came to fix it right away and we've had no issues since. Would not hesitate to hire again; in fact, I'm already planning some additional electrical work.

I was very satisfied with VMA's installation of our standby generator, and for the first few years also very satisfied with the service. After that the limitations of their service capacities became apparent and I switched to another service provider who is an authorized Generac sales and service agent as VMA was not--at the time I switched, in any case.

I used VMA To update my houses electrical. Victor was awesome to work with as he was upfront about the modifications and cost. His workers were professional, prompt, and informative. I will not hesitate to use them again for all my electrical needs. They were very clean and courteous when performing the job. You will enjoy working with Victor, the service manager, and the rest of the staff!

I had a great experience with VMA. They did some electrical work in my home and also installed new A/V equipment throughout the house. Everything went incredibly smoothly. I received a quote and estimated length of time for the project. Once we agreed, the folks came on time and provided everything according to the agreed upon plan. They showed us how to operate all of the equipment. They cleaned up and left everything in good order. I felt the price was fair and the work was great. Very happy with the overall experience.

Our earlier review is below. It's now July 2019 and we had occasion to contact VMA again. When we called, they were clearly quite booked up, but - as was the case in 2018 - our need was somewhat time sensitive, and we were impressed that they managed to fit us in and take care of the issue. We continue to be pleased with VMA and wanted to update the review to reflect our more-recent experience.

We recently had a very good first experience with VMA. We moved into a new place in Southborough and needed a few electrical tasks to be done (moving a thermostat, installing a chandelier, adjusting a few light switches, etc.) - nothing too big or complicated, but things which were important to us and somewhat time sensitive.

When finding service providers, we normally start with personal referrals, and in this case we were able to collect three names. One never returned our call. The other two came to look at the job, and each said they could do it, but then they disappeared - neither responded to any of our subsequent calls and texts. By this point several weeks had gone by and we were getting a bit desperate, so we went online looking for local electrical contractors with favorable reviews, and we were impressed by what we saw about VMA.

We were pleased with the process from that first contact onward. The owner, Victor, explained that he was too busy to come out and do an in-person estimate, but when we described our needs in detail, he provided an estimate over the phone. It was a range rather than a specific amount, but that was fine with us, and it enabled things to move forward more quickly. The people in the office, including Lorrayne and Melissa, were courteous and helpful in getting the work scheduled sooner rather than later. Matt and Christian arrived as promised and were polite and professional: they introduced themselves, had us explain all of the tasks, patiently answered our questions and asked some of their own, described our options (in cases where there was more than one solution), and were considerate of our home and our belongings (they were neat, they brought their own booties to protect the wood floors and carpets, etc.). Everything on our list was taken care of, and it all appears to be working well. VMA will be our first call the next time around, and we would certainly recommend them.

VMA Electric is a gem of a company! I recently bought an older home and it needed some electrical work - and I, as a senior lady, needed some education as to the electrical set-up I had. VMA took care of my needs promptly and at reasonable cost. They educated me about my outlets and wiring in a clear and non-patronizing way and did not take advantage of me or charge me for their knowledge and advice. They then added needed outlets and moved thermostats and fixed faulty wiring. The electricians and techs who came to the house were professional, competent, down-to-earth friendly, got along with my pets. and cleaned up after. The office staff are friendly, caring and efficient too! What more can one ask for in this day and age? Prompt, expert and caring service! They've renewed my faith in electricians! Thank you, VMA.

We've worked with VMA for several projects around our house since we moved in last year and they have consistently been great to work with! They have always responded quickly to our calls and their electricians are friendly and professional. We will definitely be using their services in the future!

VMA Electric has installed ceiling fans with additional rewiring work on my old home. They were very responsive and proactive in understanding the work that needed to be done before showing up! Also, very professional in completing quality work in a timely manner. I would highly recommend their services.

VMA did about $2500.00 of work at our home, including upgrades, installations and simple repairs. From start to finish they were wonderful. Lorrayne in the office kept us posted on every step of the project. Workers were professional, courteous, taking pride in their work. They arrived when they said they would. As our first contracted work was being completed we asked VMA to undertake more jobs - so much did we appreciate their work. We are very pleased with all VMA has done, have recommended them to friends and will call them again for any work we need.

We've worked with VMA a couple of times now and would highly recommend them for any homeowner/business. Lorrayne is excellent with managing schedules and communication along the way, and the entire VMA team is skilled and respectful throughout the process. We've had light fixtures replaced, outdoor lighting installed, and our home electrical upgraded to a 200 amp service. We're already planning some additional work and VMA is our go-to. They complete the planned work on-time and are competitive with pricing. Definitely give them a call if you have some home projects planned!

We have used VMA twice this year. VMA was recommended by our contractor, who we very much trust. They did a smaller job of putting in outdoor lights on our deck and switching a few outlets.
We wanted to have more extensive work done, but they said it couldn't be done due to ancient knob and tube wiring, which is very complex and a potential safety hazard. VMA returned this summer for a far more extensive job, updating all of our electricity in our 1888 Victorian including outlets, a new panel, installing overhead lighting, closet lighting, lighting timers and more.
It was not cheap, but we felt that VMA offered a fair price and did a lot of work for their money in an efficient manner.
We found EVERY person from VMA who stepped foot in our house was professional, friendly & nice. While I am not an electrician, of course, their work seemed to be of very high quality and error free. Everything has been working fine since they were here.
VERY IMPORTANTLY, VMA showed up when they said they were going to both for an estimate as well as do the work. That was definitely not always the case with others we contacted for the work.
We would use them again and definitely recommend them.
I also will say that we have ONLY a professional relationship with VMA, so we have no benefit from this posting.

We have worked with VMA Electric for many, many years. Over the years, they have installed new lighting in numerous rooms in our house, fixed bathroom fans, installed ceiling fans, installed a sound system--you name it! We have always been happy with their work and will continue to hire them. Their technicians are knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. We especially like working with Lorrayne in the office. She does an amazing job organizing everything. We can definitely recommend VMA.

Do not call them if you want customer service. I have a house alarm I wanted to update and was told they did not service the kind I had, I knew that as I was calling for a new alarm and service. Was told they could not help me. I also own 6 apartment buildings in the area of their business and need the same for them and they could have cared less.

We have done a diverse array of work with VMA Electric over the years and they have always met the task. Their technicians and office staff are knowledgeable and respectful. We'd recommend their services.

VMA Electric installed a whole house 22 kW generator and automatic transfer switch for us. Victor and his crew were fantastic. He provided a free estimate and honored it to the cent after all was said and done. Proper permits were obtained and the work inspected. Not only was everything functional, but Nick and crew were very concerned with aesthetics and even hidden wiring was very neat and tidy. The work was completed quickly and Victor handled all of the coordination with the necessary sub-contractors. Victor was always available and willing to be bombarded with questions before, during, and after the work and made sure all of our requests for this and that were honored. We would definitely recommend for generator installation and other electrical projects.

They are communicative and professional. You get what you pay for, and in this case, that's excellent service from people with integrity.

I had an EV charger installed in an old building and we hit some snags with the plan and permitting. I'm glad I selected this business to do the job, I was 100% confident in their ability to get it done.

Have used them for several projects and have been very happy with the service and professionalism. Their prices are very competitive and they got the job done soon and fast. Highly recommend.

My husband Henry says it easy to give a good review when everything goes smoothly! But we all know that in real life things don’t go exactly as we would like! Well things have always gone right in the past with Vma !as we have used them for years!

Recently we had Issue! So we thought at the time!
Well Henry said now’s the real test!

When he called Vma! He was ready for some type of augment!
He even had his notes ready. as he had had problems with other companies in the past when he had an issue to report!

But there was no need for his notes! Adriana immediately looked into the situation right away

And got it resolved!
Well needless to say Vma passed my husbands test !
