I worked with Hayce and her crew on another home improvement project. I want to update my below review to again say that they were incredible from start to finish! We asked Hayce if she could help us build a small front porch to attach to our enclosed front porch. As with any project, unexpected things happen. If something came up and we needed to change our plan or if there was a detail that I wanted to be adjusted, Hayce never hesitated to make us happy. For example, one of our new deck boards arrived with a small gash that was hard to notice. When the stair board had already been installed, I eventually noticed it and asked Hayce if they could replace the board. Without hesitation, Hayce said of course, and the next time they arrived to finish up the project, the floorboard was replaced no problem. Little things like this that make a huge difference. Hayce and her crew know how to build trust. I trust Hayce and her team with any project and will continue to ask HKF to improve our home. What I also love about working with Hayce is her accessibility. I never feel like I am bothering her when I message her and ask her questions. She always makes us feel like a priority (which is hard to do when you have so many clients). My porch project was a very positive experience. HKF does amazing work! And her prices are always fair. Working with Hayce and her crew has been a breath of fresh air. HKF Construction is by far the most professional, reliable, timely, and talented contractors in the Greater Boston area and beyond. When they say they are going to show up, they show up. When they say they are going to call, they call. If you have questions, they are reachable, and they answer your questions. Hayce goes above and beyond to make sure the customer is happy with the work, and she and her crew are very efficient. They finished our bathroom project faster than what they initially estimated, and I am so impressed by the quality of the work. I contracted HKF Construction to repair a wooden post that had rotted through on my deck. They replaced it and some damaged railings to the quoted cost within a few days of first contacting them and you can't tell that it's a replacement - they were even able to match the trim. Afterwards on one replaced wooden railing a small knot fell out and them came and fixed that right away without any questions or additional cost.

I asked them to come back to replace some damaged wooden shingles on the sidings on my house and that was also completed super quick and on quote.

I like their approach of picking up the necessary materials and having me pay the store directly over the phone as it meant there was no markup on the materials. Any bits they didn't use, they took back to the store and I got a refund on my credit card.

Hayce was friendly and good to communicate with. Overall I highly recommend them.

I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with HKF Construction. We renovated the entire upper floor of our home (renovation in late winter-early spring 2023, home was built in 1886 and was practically a gut job), and the project remained on time and on budget. All the teams involved in the work were professional, personable, arrived when they said they would, and had prompt communication. Hayce listened to our lists of "must haves", helped optimize and make suggestions to our floor plan to make the best use of space, and considered the age and style of our home to ensure the renovation seamlessly fit in with the rest of the house. She cared for our home and project with an unparalleled attention to detail, making it feel like the project was her own home as well. I can't wait to hire HKF Construction for future work on the house!

Hayce and her team at HKF Construction did a beautiful job on building our new porch in Somerville! We needed a complete tear down of the existing triple decker and a rebuild of a brand new one. The quote came quick and was a fair price. Communication was great. Hayce kept us up to date and informed on all things throughout the entire process. We had an idea for what we wanted the porch to look like and they were able to reproduce it exactly! Time and care was taken on the small details and the team was able to pivot quickly when needed. Hired HKF Construction to rebuild the front porch of a two family. The Owners and staff responded shortly after contacting them for a quote and quickly returned with a reasonable proposal. Their staff was courteous and very responsive to our questions. They cleaned up and kept the site clean daily and was respectable to the neighbors during construction. The Craftsmanship is excellent and worked with us to work through detailing requests. Work was done efficiently, but not rushed. Overall an excellent company and would recommend them highly.

We worked with Hayce and her team on multiple projects, and are thrilled with the results. Hayce was highly recommended by a friend, who loved working with her and told us HFK was extremely communicative, detail oriented, and efficient. We did a primary bath, bedroom, and remodel, as well as installed mini splits in part of the house. Hayce and her team completed the job on time and close to budget, and all costs and change orders were communicated in a timely manner. Hayce was very responsive and had her team follow up on our punch list, and made sure to address the details before closing out the job. We are thrilled with our new bathroom, including the custom cabinets, and the tile work is fantastic- the sub did a great job. The HVAC sub was also great, and worked hard to ensure that the interior lines and exterior venting were as inconspicuous as possible. We were also very impressed with the carpenter sub, who we also had repair our stairs while on the job. All in all, we’d definitely recommend HFK and will be calling Hayce for any future work.

Hayce and HKF Construction worked with us to demolish a partial wall in our master bedroom and split the existing room into two full bedrooms. We also had them patch up a closet in a separate area of the house, which was a much smaller job they completed alongside the main project. Previously, we also hired the team for some minor repairs on an outdoor deck.

Our experience working with HKF for the bedroom project was fantastic! The team worked tirelessly to finish the project efficiently, and Hayce made sure that we were completely satisfied with the end result. Her communication throughout the process was excellent, and she was always clear about expectations on price and timeline. The entire team approached us with a friendly and respectful attitude.

Hayce and the HKF team built an addition to the basement and first floor of our house, plus a new patio. Throughout the project, Hayce was communicative and always responded quickly if we had a question or concern. The crews that HKF used were always kind and courteous, and worked extremely hard. We are very impressed with the overall timeline and delighted that the project came in at the budget we expected. We’re especially pleased with the carpentry on the project, which was really carefully executed to match the older styles elsewhere in our home.

I had the pleasure of working with Hayce and HKF construction on a bathroom remodel. I had hired tile installers separately and needed a contractor to take care of all the finishing details (plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry). Hayce was amazing throughout the process. She conducted a site visit and provided an estimate within two days. Once the project started, she coordinated between my tile installer and her tradesmen to ensure that the work was completed on time and within budget. She even scheduled her guys to work evenings and weekends to meet my desired timeline. Hayce was courteous and responsive throughout the process and provided thoughtful input to solve unforeseen issues. I would highly recommend her for home renovation projects.

I asked about 6 contractors for quotes for a bathroom addition and Hayce was the only person who gave good suggestions and turned around a quote within days, which contributed to choosing her to work with. Her team were great and fixed any issues that arised. Its a little tricky to work on a 100+ year house but it got done despite some last minute setbacks.

We had an amazing experience with HFK Construction. They completely revitalized our basement, which was recently waterproofed after major flooding issues. They repainted the floors, ceilings, and walls. They coordinated the demolition of one wall and the building of a new one. We are very satisfied with the end results and would recommend them!

We had a seamless experience working with HKF Construction to improve the insulation inside our bathroom wall and help protect the pipes from freezing. Throughout the process, Hayce was very professional and friendly, and we felt the estimates were very reasonable.

Her team completed the job in just one day—removing the bathroom fixtures, opening the wall, adding insulation, and then restoring everything afterward. When they were done, everything was clean and looked just as it was before the work started!

A couple nights later it was well below freezing, and the pipes were just fine even without dripping them. We really appreciate their help and would definitely consider HKF again for future projects!

Our backyard stairs were getting quite soft and not likely to survive another winter. Hayce came down herself to help with the quote and gave us several options including the new granite stairs we chose to upgrade the house. Hayce was with us for the entire process, even with making sure the custom railing was to our liking. The stone veneer they used even match our retaining wall. We're very happy with the finished product and will definitely be calling HKF again for future projects.

We love our new kitchen, Claudio did a great job with the install. Claudio team was able to produce a design that worked in our odd shaped room. We would definitely work with them again on another project.
