Aldo’s installed a 2-zone heat pump system this past fall. The crew was great to work with. They respected my home as well as my time. Their project management system was designed to make it easy to follow the project and each phase of the work. So far the system is operating as expected and I know the team at Aldo’s will keep it running smoothly for years to come. Home is in Medford Mass.

I hired Aldo's to replace my aging Central A/C system with heat pumps. They performed the work on schedule, quickly and efficiently. While we had several issues that took weeks to resolve, Aldo's was extremely responsive and would send someone out either the same day I reported an issue or the following day. They ended up having to replace the entire old linesets as they were causing problems, and the system finally seems to be working well. I would recommend Aldo's and plan to work with them in the future for my HVAC needs.

I've been using Aldo's for 4 years now. Over the past 4 years they've installed 25+ heat pump units. They are professional and knowledgeable. I haven't had a single problem with their work or pricing! I would highly recommend them for any of your HVAC needs, Specifically heat pumps!

Trustworthy company. Iones came to give me a second opinion on an issue with my HVAC unit. From another large plumbing company, I was quoted a $40k fix to replace the entire system. He came and troubleshot, got into a dusty crawl space, followed the tubing, and found the issue--a kinked plastic tube. NOT THE ENTIRE UNIT. In times when there is price gauging and misinformation, find the people you trust and stay there. Aldo's HVAC has a customer for life.

We hired Aldo's to install central AC/heat pump in our 120 year old home. There was no existing ductwork so it was all from scratch. We first met with Al (owner), who handled the sales related stuff and was my primary point of contact throughout the project. He is knowledgeable, responsive, and a clear communicator. Everyone I met on the crew was very polite, skilled, and appeared to take pride in their work. We were living in the house during the 2-week project, and so the care taken to minimize dust, and communicate which rooms would be worked on during which days was highly appreciated. We haven't actually used the AC yet, but the heat pump is working well. I recommend Aldo's for HVAC and would hire them again.

I have known and worked with Al and his team from Aldo's HVAC for 8 years. I have seen many of their completed projects and have dealt directly with Al, his management team and their technicians. Their quality of workmanship is excellent. They are professional, courteous, attentive, transparent and take great pride in their work. Al Viera the owner is one the most technically knowledgeable guys in the business. Great with high efficiency Heat Pump systems, Mini-splits and conventional heating and cooling systems. They complete their work on time, neatly, professionally and will exceed your expectations. I recently had 3 separate ECOER SDi Heat Pumps and matching ECOER Air Handler systems installed at my house through Al's recommendation and guidance. They are working great! I would strongly recommend Aldo's HVAC for any and all of your HVAC needs.

I recently had Aldo’s HVAC replace our old gas furnace with an Ecoer heat pump, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The team of three technicians, supervised by Daniel, was punctual, professional, and highly communicative throughout the entire process. They did a remarkably neat job installing the system. Our new heat pump is not only much quieter but also more effective at maintaining a consistent temperature across different rooms in our apartment. Loving the new setup and highly recommend their services!

I scheduled a technician visit with Aldo's to diagnose an A/C balancing issue in a new home. (They did not install the system.) The visit was a sham: the technician looked at the A/C unit, didn't see the dampers, and because the ducts were behind the walls, said there was nothing he could do. He communicated this "walls, nothing I can do" using Google Translate on his phone, from (Brazilian) Portuguese to English, because he did not speak any English, not even those words. So he did nothing useful and told me nothing I did not already know. (He was also wrong, it turned out: this kind of residential system, as is apparently common, did not have internal dampers, only vent flaps.)
I am refusing to pay the $195 invoice for this waste of everyone's time.
(Edit: in response to my feedback, Aldo's offered me a "complimentary preventive maintenance visit," which I declined.)

Aldo's HVAC did an amazing job in upgrading our home from using a traditional HVAC system (furnace-forced air + A/C condenser) to a heat pump system, while still keep the furnace as an emergency heat source if we need it. We were looking to use less propane as the cost to run the system has more than double due to rising oil prices, and a heat pump was the way to go for our home.

Three technicians came on Friday morning and worked into the early evening hours to get the whole house up and running so we would not go through an evening without home heating. The work was professional, clean, and respectful.

Also appreciate the access to technology that the company utilizes and that they encourage their customers to sign up for the basecamp website stay up to date with the project, ask questions, and to ensure documentation is done correctly.

They also are helping with the MassSave rebate for the installation, which is a most appreciated service!

Run, don’t walk away from this company. This was a brand new addition, wide open. Not a renovation. They completely botched the install of 5 air handlers and 3 compressors. They damaged my ceilings, had to run the ductwork twice and still did it wrong. Craftsmanship is absolutely horrible. I had to fire them and both the inspector and the “as built” assessment I got said it was the worst installation they’d ever seen. Nobody will touch the job and I now have to rip it all out myself. Run! I have more pictures too. Too many mistakes to even list.
Pictures speak a thousand words. None of what Al said in response is true. The pictures are of Aldos work. I’m simply documenting what I am finding as I disassemble their work. No bad job access or bad treatment of his crew happened. Absolute lies. Run from this contractor.

I had a great experience with Aldo HVAC installing a heat pump in my office. The team was extremely professional, honest, and knowledgeable from start to finish. They arrived on time, communicated clearly throughout the process, and completed the job exactly as promised. Called because one of my condo properties was having a leak issue. James, who answered the phone, didn't even let me finish speaking past my introduction before saying, "I don't have time right now." How did he even know what I was going to say? Super unprofessional.

I called AICA to come over and give us a quote to replace our boiler. I wasn’t told that this trip would cost me anything. Andrew came and spent 10 mins answering my questions and 2 minutes confirming that my current boiler is still functional. Then he asked $175 for his “service”. If you like being ripped off, feel free to use this company. Otherwise, STAY AWAY!!!!

Btw, I had planned to spend $10k-$20k on the boiler replacement project. And they will surely lose the chance to make this money from me.

During this heat wave my ac stopped working. I called around and two different HVAC companies did not show up when they said they would. I called AICA on a Sunday and made appointment for Monday at noon. No crazy 3 hour windows. He came on time. He is very nice and explained everything as he was doing it. James and his team were able to fix my AC the same day. I highly recommend AICA.

James came over to diagnose why our AC wasn’t working. He said it needed freon and would be $650 to fill it up. I trusted him, so I said sure, even though that seemed pretty expensive. He filled it up and left - about 30 minutes total of his time.

I couldn’t get any cold air to come out, so I called him back. He seemed annoyed, but came back to the house to diagnose again and said that I had a leak and he would have to replace the entire system for some insanely high estimate. After some argument about the fact that he didn’t warn me about the possibility of an immediate leak or offering a less expensive service to determine if there is a leak before filling it with very expensive freon, he agreed to partially refund me so that I would be charged his cost. I thought this was fair, but the problem was that he never sent me the check that he promised (I’m writing this 4 months later).

I ended up calling another company that came out and did a very professional diagnosis of the problem to determine if there was a leak before telling me I should not fill it with freon. I didn’t tell them about James until after they came and did their thing so I could have a good comparison of services.

Long story short, dealing with this company cost me time, headache, and $650. In return I received nothing. I can’t recommend using them, unless you want the same.
