Yellow Dog gets six stars for solving today’s urgent no heat issue. They scheduled immediately, arrived promptly and sent senior HVAC technicians who could pinpoint the problem with minimal labor time. They clearly explained the broken part in the boiler and the detailed written repair estimate before sourcing the part and getting the system back online in a couple of hours. They were friendly, communicated what they were doing and were extremely neat in the house and basement. Thanks to Hiagho, Luis and Bill of Yellow Dog for saving time, money and shivers today. We appreciate your responsiveness and recommend you highly.

My experience with Yellow Dog was fantastic. They were able to schedule me that day which was great as I did not have heat.

They resolved the issue quickly but I was more impressed by watching the apprenticeship between the two men. It's not often you get to see that in action and Luis seemed very detailed in explaining things that were not necessarily related to my issue, but would be good knowledge to have.

We are so pleased with Yellow Dog Plumbing; our heating system broke down a few days ago and need a new furnace, I called Yellow Dog Plumbing and got their Master Plumber Jeffrey Ryan came in couple of days for an estimate cost, he was a very knowledgeable and pleasant guy. we got the job proposal after from email, my husband reviewed it and called the company to go over the proposal & have the job to be scheduled. Jeffrey Ryan arrived promptly with his helper Jaisson.
The job was completed in less than two days skillfully, efficiently & professionally. They were very friendly guys, after the completion they left our place nice & cleaned, no trash left for us to do.
We are very pleased with their job and happy with the reasonable price & will definitely will keep them in mind for future reference and recommend them to my friends.

Yellow Dog came through for me again. We had a hot water heater leaking with many holiday guests on the way. The manufacturer confirmed the unit had to be replaced. Yellow Dog came over our house promptly and provided several options to replace the hot water heater. We settled on what turned out to be by far the most cost-effective approach and Yellow Dog installed the replacement unit the day after it was delivered. These folks don't give you a sales song and dance. They intelligently evaluate the technical issues and quickly solve problems. They are the best.

Spent a lot of time shopping around for the best deal on a replacement hot water heater. Zach and Jason were professional and respectful of our home and did a great job.

Update: We ended up reaching out to Zach again about servicing our steam heating system after we were stood up by another company. Zach came out with Billy and were efficient and respectful of our home like the first visit. They also showed up when they said they were going to!

Update: Brandon, Antonio, and Hiagho installed a new HVAC at our home as the old one was failing. They did an amazing work over the two days to ensure that installation is done properly (previously it was not done properly by another shop which led to leakage and failure), and I could not ask for a better team. I also appreciate that the price is highly competitive. Highly recommend the Yellow Dog team.

Great communication, showed up fast and finished in just a couple hours. Price was a little steep, but I might have thought that no matter what the price was... They installed a gas line for my gas dryer and new exhaust for the dryer.

First visit was a sink / faucet replacement with Jeff, went great, very clean install in a tricky spot.

2nd visit, Eric and Jaisson found and fixed a leak in the toilet supply line very quickly. Very impressed!

Yellow Dog has been an exceptional experience. From the installation perspective, they helped transition our home from a standard water heater to tankless; from a maintenance perspective, we opted for a service plan for our furnace (an existing system installed previously)—equally impressed by the service for both. The amount of time and attention to detail their team spends is impressive. Communication and support from Yellow Dog is particularly top-notch—we can always reach them by email, text, or phone. I called yellow dog on a cold winter morning. The night before I noticed both our hot water and heating was not working. I was frantic and didn’t think anyone would be able to help me last minute. I called at 8 AM and by noon they had sent a technician out to help me. The technician was very informative and explained our whole system to us and provided a timely and efficient repair at an exceptionally reasonable price. I know who I will be calling from now on!

In early December, our old furnace broke right before the cold snap. While hunting for emergency heating help, I called Yellow Dog and even before us committing to them they offered to send multiple space heaters while we waited for their team to come. The pricing was very reasonable compared to others around plus they properly sized our system and gave us a great brand. Luis ended up leading the replacements for us and he and his group were straightforward, clean, and respectful, finishing within 3 days like he said they would. We’re so grateful to have a very comfortable and trustworthy heating/AC system set up. Brandon & Antonio of Yellow Dog came to my house to give me a second opinion on a possible problem. I had been told during my yearly inspection that my gas furnace had a hole in the heat exchanger and that I should replace the whole system. I didn’t tell them what the other tech has told me; just that I wanted an another diagnostic test of the system.
They checked everything thoroughly & could find nothing wrong. They were patient and explained everything they had done & assured me everything was working fine. I was almost scammed by the first technician and heating company!

We had an emergency situation in our heating system, which suddenly failed. This is in the middle of winter just outside Boston. We done asked yellow dog plumbing to evaluate the situation and provide us with appropriate repairs. They were very prompt and gave us a an estimate to replace one of the air compressor units. I had questions about the repair process and the cost which the owner was immediately attentive to. He explained the technical issues as well as the cost in plain language. They were very supportive, even offered to provide us with space heaters until the system was installed. However, they were able to replace the system within 24 hours and we did not have to struggle with the cold winter for pretty long. We were extremely happy with the service. Technicians were very knowledgeable the comedy administrator for the office to help with the payment and financing. The owner was extremely helpful. I have plans to use them again in the future as we replace additional equipment.

I contracted Yellow Dog for the installation of a Mitsubishi Heat & A/C ductless system at my home. On their first visit they educated me on the options available to me, pricing, and a plan specific to my needs. They also took the time to walk me through the Mass Save rebate program and how to navigate the process.

Once approved, they had me on the schedule for installation within a week (in December!) and let me know in advance who was coming to my home and when. Then install team, Brandon, Antonio, & Luis, were quick, efficient, polite, and professional. Before they left they walked me through my new system operation and made sure I was 100% comfortable with the work. There were no surprises, the work was completed ahead of schedule and on budget.

I contracted with this company for the first time for an annual furnace checkup and maintenance of two high-efficiency furnaces in my home. Scheduling an appointment was extremely easy through their website. Shortly after submitting my request, the company called to confirm the appointment and clearly explain their fee structure.
On the day of service, two technicians—Luis A. and Oseas—arrived right on time. They worked diligently and did an excellent job. Luis thoroughly explained what was done during the inspection and provided thoughtful recommendations for future service. Their proposals were very reasonable, and there was no pressure to purchase unnecessary upgrades.
I had expected the exhaust neutralizer to need replacement during this visit, but they honestly told me it still has at least another year of life. I contacted Yellow Dog for a second opinion on my furnace. What caught my eye about the company was the About Us page on the site and how they put customer service above everything. Nowadays, that type of talk is everywhere and rarely backed up. Yellow Dog lived up to it. The front end team; Christina and Elmer really made what was a nerve wracking event, a very comfortable experience. Just how they talk to you just seems natural and not pushy or sales driven but with emotion and care. The install went great. Brandon and Jake arrived on time and walked me through the process before, progress in the middle, and a recap at the end of the install. They took the time to explain the innards of the furnace as well. But to come back to customer service; the technicians were just normal guys who would crack a joke with me and talk about ourselves and took the time to get to know me. They took what is just a transactional event; and they made it painless and comforting. It’s that kind of compassionate and fun interaction that more companies need. Couldn’t recommend them more !

Yellow Dog installed a new Trane furnace and AC unit at our house. The job was done in less than a day, and after a month the equipment is working very well. The techs, office staff, and owner were professional and easy to deal with. Maybe the best part was the cost was significantly less than 2 other quotes we received. Great value. We highly recommend Yellow Dog for HVAC work.

Would definitely use Yellow Dog again! The office responded quickly to my request in the evening and the plumbers were there first thing the next morning. The plumbers were very friendly and super knowledgeable and were able to replace my radiator supply valve quickly and did a great job. I had tried to do the job myself the day before, but ran into an issue. Jeff was awesome and showed me what he was doing as he worked so that I could learn as well. The cost was about $500, which seemed reasonable compared to other quotes, especially considering how quickly they were able to come and the quality of the work.

i really appreciate the service i got. our heater stopped working in the middle of a cold week in needham, so we had someone come out to check it. the first person said we needed a whole new heating system, which sounded expensive. then we called this company for a second opinion. andres showed up quickly, took his time to look at everything, and found out it was just our thermostat that needed to be replaced. it was such a relief because it saved us a lot of money and hassle. i trust their team completely—they were honest, knowledgeable, and very professional. i would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs heater repair!
