Truly a great plumber; reliable, friendly, honest and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend Bill Johnson for any plumbing or gas repair. As a property manager managing hundreds of rental units I have worked with my fair share and can say Bill is one of the best. You can trust that he does quality work and is very very fair in pricing. I have used Bill for all of our plumbing needs in Salem/Peabody/Beverly area. He will often try and repair something before replacing it saving us lots of money through out the year. Bob McGlaughlin's team is as good as it gets. No heat at 9:00 on a Sunday. Bob returned call at 9:10. Tyler working on the repair at 9:35. All the tools and parts required on the truck (and it's a. Omplex boiler). Heat back up at 11:30. ALL STAR performance.

Could not find a more reasonable and polite plumber on the North Shore. I did not hesitate to call them when I had a clogged kitchen sink. Tyler worked for an hour so I did not have to contact a drain company. Quality service!

Called because I had no heat (Saturday), but it was a warmish day for the region so I wasn’t super concerned. However, I called 7 other places and none got back to me except Mc Laughlin. In a very timely manner after my message, the guy who called me (RJ) was polite, respectful, and concerned that I was having problems. He explained how busy they were but there may be a possibility of help with something in the future. Basically, all companies were swamped with service, including them, but they called me back to explain why they were probably not going to be able to respond to my request as soon as I would need. This place has true customer service. Something that is lost on nearly every company I encounter. I would call them first because they actually care about people, at least that is the experience I had.

Mcglauphlin plumbing came to save the day. My in-laws house lost heat for an extended period of time and the pipes burst in almost every room. They came, found all the leaks, repaired all the pipes, and got the heat back on throughout the house. I would recommend them without hesitation. Very professional and reliable.

I left a message on their answering service 2 days ago on Wednesday and have not heard back from them. They have been recommended, but this is not what I would call a good business model; my evaluation will change if they ever get back to me with a reasonable explanation.
Update: they got back to me not long after I posted the above critique; since then they have done extensive work for me, and I have used them on four separate occasions a and I trust their work. They are a busy crew, so sometimes a little wait has been necessary, but the work warrants it.

RP MC Laughlin was recommended to me by a coworker. My water heater tank exploded and I must've called 7 or 8 other plumbing companies. Most did not call back as they said they would. When I called RP they immediately gave me a time-frame of when they would come. Not only did they come and analyzed the problem. They went above and beyond to allay my concerns. They walked me through each step and if something came up they would let me know what else could be done. Bob and his team were amazing and took care of everything. The only thing I did was pick up the phone and call them. Amazing experience.

As a Board member of a small local condominium association, I just want to give the gang at McLaughlin, you, Debbie, Bob, Tyler and everyone who with our recent jobs a special thanks. Unless you are overburdened with orders which will sometimes happen in your line of business, you guys really jumped on getting things done. That's why whenever I and the rest of the trustees are asked which plumber to call, we always say McLaughlin because of your attention to service and the great job you do at reasonable prices and over the many years you've become intimately knowledgeable of our unique plumbing needs.

I always say, if you’re gonna lose your heat why not do it on the record breaking, sub-zero, coldest day of the year. Early in the morning, on a weekend of course.
I called McLaughlin and left a message with their live answering service. Someone called me back in about an hour and was at my house 15 minutes later. They fixed my furnace and got my heat up in running before my pipes could freeze.
Don’t let their basic looking, desktop only, website throw you off. (Someone please tell them about media queries and flexbox.) They’re who you call if you want a plumber, not a coder.
I’ve used them before to install a flush saver toilet and to repair a leaking bathtub faucet. They did a perfect job both times.
