I lost my internet on a Sunday when I really needed it the most. I called Wheaton Electric even though I have never used them before. Within 10 minutes on a Sunday morning, I received a phone call. Paul took the time to walk me through various scenarios for troubleshooting the issue. One of his suggestions did the trick and I didn't need to have anyone come out. I will definitely call this company when I have any type of electrical issues. Thank you, Paul!

Wheaton Electric is one of those rare businesses that just gets it perfectly right every time. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Paul, the owner, and Tim, who has come out to do the work, are absolutely top notch. Not just the work itself, but the professionalism, turnaround time, care for the customer, availability... the list goes on. I have used Wheaton for a large project, both inside and outside our house, after they had come very highly recommended by an architecture design firm that I highly trust. And I have also had them come twice during emergencies.

When our home was flooded due to burst pipes, we were truly overwhelmed by the situation. As we began the cleanup process with Servepro, we relied on their project manager’s recommendation for an electrician and were introduced to Paul Wheaton. Going with that suggestion turned out to be one of the best decisions we made during such a challenging time.
Upon meeting Paul, his genuine kindness and extensive knowledge immediately stood out to us. Since Wheaton Electric is a local company, especially having been in business for over 50 years, it felt natural to continue working with Paul and his team as we transitioned from restoration to rebuilding. We couldn’t be happier with that choice, and it made a significant difference throughout our recovery process.
Steve, Sean, and Mark from Wheaton Electric quickly became familiar and welcome faces in our home. They handled some of the most complex aspects of the rewiring and electrical upgrades with remarkable skill and care. Throughout their work, they took the time to explain each step, answering our questions whenever we stopped by. This approach kept us informed and comfortable with the process, making us feel truly involved. Their attention to detail was evident in everything they did. They worked meticulously, making sure every part of the project met the latest codes and standards. Whether they were handling rough electrical work or installing new systems for our kitchen, they always arrived early, full of energy, and ready to get started each day. One of the things we appreciated most was the respect they showed for our home. They treated our space as if it were their own, regardless of whether we were present or not. Like Paul, the team was always friendly and approachable, which made the entire process far less stressful than we had anticipated.
From the very beginning stages of planning right through to the final finish, the team’s skill and dedication showed in everything they did. What really stood out to us, though, was how Paul stayed involved even after the main work was done. If we had any issue—like the power tripping or an outlet not working—Paul made sure his team was there to help us as quickly as they could. That kind of ongoing support means a lot, and it’s part of why we now feel so comfortable in our home again.
Thanks to Wheaton Electric, we’re enjoying a safer, brighter house with a new electrical system and beautiful light fixtures that truly make our space feel like home. We’re very grateful for their professionalism, attention to detail, and above all, the care they showed us at every step. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Paul and his team to anyone who needs electrical work.

Awful company. AWFUL. I would not bother with them. I don’t even know how they are certified.

We've used EH on many of our projects and have always had a positive experience. Our customers have been satisfied with their services and in collaboration with EH or finished product always turns heads.

Our experience with this company has been extremely disappointing. They were contracted by Mass Save to assess a draft issue with our water heater, but even after two months since the inspection, they still haven't submitted the results to Mass Save. This delay has put our entire insulation project on hold. Despite calling them over 10 times and sending multiple emails and voice mails, we've received no response. I would strongly advise against using their services.

Why is there not a 0 star option? The only reason I write this review to save people potentially months of trouble and frustration. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. They have nobody that understands HVAC. I even claim the same for electric. I ended up finishing the job with 128 plumbing, heating, cooling and electric. The difference is unbelievable.

With regards to their electric quote process including site visit and customized quote issuing, 5 stars; the person that came was knowledgeable, professional and courteous, and caring about doing an install of a level-2 charger correctly, and the time from call to site visit and quote was essentially one day-per-step.

The owner Edson immediately knew what I was looking for, and his team was incredibly efficient, even working beyond the expected scope of the project. They even added in a few extra things not even included in the proposal, like some more lights for our garage. Was very happy with the overall experience, and will be calling Edson on my next project!

I have been very fortunate in my dealings with EH Electric & HVAC. The owner, Edson Hilare, and his crew of highly skilled employees, made an EV installation at my home with high quality precision. The work was done professionally, timely, cleanly, and cost efficiently. I recommend them highly. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would.

I have used EH Electric and HVAC in the past for a lot of work and had a great experience. That all ended when I had them install a mini-split system. Technically it was fine, but I got a constant run-around from the technician on the model and couldn’t get the proper quote for our MassSave loan. There were multiple delays as he waited for the right equipment and insisted on waiting until the first of the year. In the end, we ended up not qualifying because I didn’t realize I had to apply before the installation. Then, as I’m trying to apply for the rebate, I can’t get them to send me the calculations or equipment information needed. Here we are 9 months later with no communication.

Finally I reached out to their former office manager and she was able to get at least some of the information I needed, and in short order. Here’s hoping I actually get the rebate. If not, I’m out $9k, which is $1k less than it would have been if the damn tech hasn’t insisted I wait for installation.

These guys have gone downhill and lost their way without good front office staff. No one answers email and even the phone goes straight to a voicemail message that doesn’t seem legit. What happened?

I have been using EH Electric & HVAC since 2020 for all of my Electrical & HVAC needs upon moving to Waltham. They are a really great reliable company with amazing staff.

They have always been there for me. On my last visit Jay was sent to take care of an issue with my furnace blowing black smoke and shutting down. Jay was very thorough and extremely knowledgeable and explained everything in great detail.

I’m so thankful Jay was able to get me back up and running in no time! Really great service, honestly, the best!

I highly recommend EH Electrical & HVAC for all of your Electrical & HVAC needs. If you want it done right and don’t know who to call. Definitely call them!
