We chose M.A. Restoration to do the mitigation required to address the fallout of our plumbing leak, which lead to the requirement to remove the tile floor of our bathroom, flood cuts on walls and ceiling, removing hardwood flooring, running equipment to dry out the subfloors and framing, and spraying to address any mold/mildew growth. Rafael and his crew set up zipwalls and cleaned up at the end of every day. They were professional in every way, and did an excellent job. We're looking forward to working with them on all the repair work.

Update on the repair and renovation work...

We just finished a repair from a bathroom leak, which was then coupled with a renovation of our primary bedroom and bathroom. We broke down a wall between the bathroom and a closet, made the bathroom larger, and made a different closet in the bedroom larger. The repair work was mostly on the first floor, requiring some floor, wall and ceiling replacement, and resanding of the entire first floor.

Mike was our project manager from M.A. Restoration. Mike has a lot of experience renovating bathrooms, and made some very good suggestions about certain details. We’re very happy with the eventual outcome. The really great thing about Mike is that he chased down every sub-contractor to fix errors they made or correct inferior work they may have done. In the end, everything turned out well to our satisfaction. I have done a lot of renovation myself, and have an eye for detail. So it isn’t a small thing for me to be very happy with the outcome.

It was a long process, held up initially for several months by the insurance company. Brian from M. A. Restoration did all the negotiating with the insurance company and got reimbursement for everything we needed. They also did a good job of separating repair from renovation, so we could have a good understanding of where the money was going.

Very satisfied with our basement restoration! We had a flood in the basement and MA restoration took care of everything from cleaning up the initial flood, dealing with insurance, demolition and construction. Highly recommend

After experiencing water damage at my condo, the MA Restorations team promptly came to handle the cleanup. They dealt with my insurance company effortlessly, making the process stress-free for me. Brian, Israel, and several other members of the MA Restoration team (all professional and friendly) confidently assessed the damage, dried the area, and skillfully removed the tile without needing to tear up the tub or surrounding tiles. After the final plumbing issues were resolved, it was time to put the tiles back in place. Mike came in today to handle the tile replacement. He was prompt, professional, and left the area spotless, making it look as if the damage had never occurred. I would Highly recommend MA Restorations for any of my homes needs!

A prior job was even better than 5 stars, was a pipe burst leaking into my garage ceiling. This time I had no hesitation in using M.A. Restoration for a new job, a dishwasher leak that resulted in mold and a severely damaged hardwood floor. Two issues this time around though, putting this job at less than max 5 stars.

1. the floor repair, which has some streaks in the finish, and slight dent damage from the refrigerator being put back despite the cool air skid, and 2. the painting done did not prep the walls correctly such that dirt/grease marks showed through the coat. Never got a callback to schedule that to be fixed ** and ended up using our own painter who came later for a different job who repainted the problem area.

**maybe because we had signed off despite previously mentioning this to the project manager. If so, then that's our bad.

Bottom line, however? I still would not hesitate to contact this business, I don't think you'll find anything better in this area.

Steve and his team was very communicative with myself and my tenants, making the repair after water damage restoration seamless. He was professional and made the workflow the least disruptive to my tenants. And the final result is a beautiful powder room. Great job Steve and bravo to your team!

My wife and I had previously contracted with Mark at M.A. Restoration for work renovating both our bathroom and sunroom and had great results in each case. His teams were always professional, courteous, clean and had a great attention to detail. Based on this positive history, we once again selected Mark and his team to finish our basement. This project was several years in the making due to the fact that it flooded every spring or when there was an extended amount of rainfall. The M.A. team came in and demo'ed all of the old 1970's era finished basement that had sustained multiple instances of water damage and put us in touch with a crew who handled a full french drain and sump pump system around the entire perimeter of our basement. We sat on this for over two years to prove the system was working reliably and then brought M.A. back in to turn our basement into an office space and play area. Right off the bat, we hit issues related to code with our town that Mark walked us through and gave us in depth details on all our options. With his guidance, we were able to handle a change to our stairs that moved an upstairs closet as well as the addition of a below grade egress window to the finished side of the basement. The carpenters that handled this job, Justin and Ed, were very professional and clearly perfectionists in everything they took on. They handled everything from rough to finish carpentry over the course of several months as the job moved from framing to electrical to plumbing to insulation. The electrical sub-contractor (Pat Ryan Electric out of Northboro) was also top notch. His team handled all the new electrical work in the basement as well as re-wiring two rooms upstairs to bring them fully up to current code. We have been living with the finished product for nearly six months now, and it is easily the best change we've done to our house. I can't speak highly enough of Mark's teams and he will be my first call if I ever have an emergency situation or if I have future renovations.

I could write and write about this extremely personal, professional, caring, gentle, kind, authentic, efficient, and truly loving company!! Throughout my ordeal with damage from a roof leak, the individuals coming into my home always presented themselves with true Biblical, “Love your neighbor as yourself” principles!!

When we realized we need more than mold remediation, we weren't really sure where to go. I had called around but wasnt really satisfied with who came. When this company turned up they were extremely detailed in explanation and even helped us to understand what insurance coverage we had.

I can’t say enough about M.A. Restoration. 6 months ago we came home from Christmas vacation to a flooded basement from our water heater. Our plumber recommended we call M.A. Restoration. Andrew came over within an hour. He handled everything from coordinating the removal of the water, drying out the basement, managing the mold mitigation (which revealed termite damage from 20 years ago), and coordinating with the insurance company. Since they did such a good job it was no hesitation from us that re-signed on with them for the rebuild. Andrew was very upfront that the rebuild would be several months out to start but once it started it was very fast. Steve took over for Andrew and did a great job coordinating everything! He checked in regularly keeping us informed every step of the way. Israel, Julio, Dean and Chris from M.A. Restoration spent many hours at our house. They were always courteous and respectful. Steve coordinated Tipperary Painting (special shout out to Edney’s attention to detail) and Jim MacNamara for the carpet install and I’m so happy he did. I love the pride they all took in their jobs. Although I would not wish a flooded basement on anyone, if the situation arises I would fully endorse calling M.A. Restoration.

Bill and his team did a wonderful job repairing our two bathrooms after a water leak. Once the insurance piece was situated the team got right to work. They kept our home clean and were all very nice to work with. They even gave our dog attention when she was barking excessively at them. I would recommend Bill and the team for any restoration project big or small.

MA Restoration did a fantastic job addressing some water damage from a leak we had, as well as with rebuilding afterwards. They were great at working with our insurer, communication throughout the process was clear, and we're very happy with the quality of the finished work.

M.A. Restoration did some mold remediation and rebuild work on my finished basement after having been damaged from water intrusion. They did a great job and the space now looks amazing! They were also very easy to work with from start to finish and worked seamlessly with my insurance company to get the project done. Would definitely recommend.

From the first phone call to the last day everything was excellent. Highly recommend MA restoration they got our house back together and looking better. We have worked with M.A. Restoration for two projects now.

The first project was triggered by a rupture in our main drain line in our basement in the fall of 2021, not one month after our first child was born 🤦. They were recommended by our insurance claims representative, and they handled all of the communication out our insurance. In addition to the restoration, we also had them board up and plastering the walls and ceiling to create a simple habitable space for an office.

This project was relatively straightforward, and it went very smoothly. Their facilitation of the insurance part of the process was invaluable. (We had independently sought a proposal from another contractor, who came in at a higher price point AND was not interested in tackling this part of the project.)

Once M.A. Restoration and the insurance company agreed on how to make us whole, we set a start date for the project. They were very good about communicating when people would be in to work; what the next steps were; and what, if any, I needed to do to help move things along.

The second project was precipitated (ha) by water leaking into the garage, directly below our bathroom. The investigation of the source of the leak and the restoration was covered by insurance. We determined the leak was caused by a crack in our tub and shower combo unit. Based on the price estimate for addressing only the affected parts of the bathroom, we decided to “upgrade” to a full bathroom renovation, and we signed the contract committing to the project in spring of 2024.

As anyone who has done a bathroom renovation knows, there were a lot of decisions to be made in terms of design, storage, etc. My husband and I took a LONG time to make our decisions AND we had things come up that deprioritized this project, and M.A. Restoration was very patient during this gap in communication from our end.

We resumed the project in December of 2024. By that time, my husband and I had picked out materials, etc., and had a designer render our bathroom so we could be confident in our choices. We circled back with our contact, who was an estimator, and clarified what things we would be buying, and what things M.A. Restoration would be buying and storing for us on our behalf.

Once the items I ordered arrived, we set a start date for the renovation. Things initially went very well.

As we got closer to completion, it became evident that M.A. Restoration had *not* bought the items that the estimator had agreed to, so I had to purchase them at the last minute. This caused a bit of a delay as we waited for things to arrive. This was incredibly frustrating. Nothing in the email chain with the estimator had gotten forwarded to the project manager. I started communicating with the project manager more directly, and he helped us navigate the last parts of the project.

Over all, we’re happy with how the job was handled. They handled our design requests just fine, and walked us through a few decisions we hadn’t thought of. The communication gap we had was a learning experience — I know now that by then I should have looped in the project manager at that time. Despite the bumps in the road for the second project, I’m sure we’ll be working with them again: they’re competitively priced; they’re easy to talk to; they respond in a timely in a timely manner; and they’re flexible. And no doubt, something else will come up with this old house.

This was my first time submitting an insurance claim and I am so happy I used M.A. Restoration. The entire process was smooth and the team (Tim, Ben, Steve) along with all the other folks who assisted were great! Highly recommend M.A. Restoration!

I was completely satisfied with the job MA Restoration did in restoring my water damaged home to better than before condition after a pipe burst causing severe water damage to 3 floors! From Steve, the project manager to the movers, water removers, ceiling repair workers, new flooring installers and painters the work was completed ahead of the time quoted and on budget!
