I highly recommend Drain-A-Max the technician Max came to my house and was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. He was extremely fast repairing our toilet and air trapped in our line. This was a great experience highly recommend.

Great people and great help on what you need

The way that the driver was flying by dead stop traffic in the breakdown lane of route 3 during morning traffic, I’d never use this service or recommend them. Absolutely reckless. This was at 6:45AM morning of 11/26. Leave on time, don’t put others lives in danger.

Hopefully they are good at something, driving the van, however, ain’t their thing.

Our family has been very pleased with the fine work of the Doughty brothers. They have installed two new gas fired boiler systems at our home and the home of our daughter here in Arlington. They are superior craftsmen.

Very efficient, professional, and competent. Fixed a block toilet. Neat and clean. Reasonably priced. Friendly and explained everything in detail. It’s a family business. Very nice people.
They came back for another task and asked if I wanted the outdoor spigot replaced. I said what’s the pricing and he said we don’t usually do quotes on small jobs but I insisted I needed one and the quote was $725 for one outdoor spigot , I thought that was outrageous. I actually had a had a new spigot itself in my basement. They took $140 off the price. The spigot had cost me $35. He said because there were two of them and it would take them time to go buy a spigot (which I had bought at Home Depot). It was originally a five star review, but now it’s a two star I had the job done because I was kind of caught in the middle. It’s too bad they are not the company I thought they were.

Doughty & Sons is a great company which does excellent work at a fair price. I have relied on them for years and now, more recently, for help doing a full gut kitchen renovation - they did a really amazing job and were super efficient.

Disappointing Experience with JJ Loftus Plumbing I hired this plumber to fix a leaky faucet in my bathroom, but they did a terrible job. The faucet was still leaking eventhough a new one is installed after he left, and when I called him to complain, he was rude and unprofessional. Despite the hefty invoice I received, the issue persist, leaving me with both unresolved plumbing concerns and a lighter wallet. I do not recommend this plumber to anyone.

Different customers have different experiences and we’ve only had good ones . We had a cracked pipe a month ago as we moved into a new rental . Bob was quick, efficient and kind in explaining what happened, how it was fixed and what to do to avoid it. This time it was the toilet and tub both with issues. Mark came by replaced all the needed parts and both are working as good as new. I’d highly recommend them for any work in the metro north area .

Bob came back to fix the trash disposal that was probably from the original home (~8-10 years). He fixed it and educated us on the interplay between the dishwasher and the disposal and tips. Alway's professional and kind. Thanks for the help!
