Reviews of local pros in Ada, Michigan

Thornapple Nursery has been mowing my lawn and plowing my driveway for 35 years. I love that they are a family business, now on their 3rd generation.

Amazing work & customer service! We will be forever customers. They are the best of the best!

Outstanding job on our retaining walls! I’m looking forward to working with them on the plant landscape design. Adam and his team are wonderful and super responsive.

Family run business that always goes out of their way to get the job done right! I am disabled and can’t shovel my front walk in winter. They have done this for me for the last five years free of charge. They even unscrewed my hoses from the faucets outside when I can’t. They have done my yard work and snow removal for some years now. I appreciate all their kindness and good work. I highly recommend them!

The design they put together was perfect in every way for our condo. And now that it's installed, we are absolutely thrilled that we acted on the many recommendations we received from others in our community. Last, but far from least, was the professionalism of the installation crew.

We had such a great experience purchasing a tree from Thornapple River Nursery in honor of our daughters first birthday! The staff and owner are so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They answered all our questions and helped us pick the right tree, and then when we opted to pick it up and plant it ourselves (versus using their delivery and planting service), they helped us load the tree and secure it in our vehicle, gave advice for planting successfully, and more. This is a wonderful, family owned business! Our tree is doing great and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

We were very happy with Thornapple Nursery. Their service was great, they answered our questions and gave us great ideas on what to plant. Scott did a great job! The planters were efficient , polite and cleaned up our yard area when they were finished, Thanks so much for everything.

The best! They cleared out my jungle FAST. Reasonably priced and totally worth it.

Fabulous snow plow service! I highly recommend Villareal!

Great service. Very high standards for snowplowing work.

Best snow plow service we have ever had. Been here 17 years and this has been the best

Today I got the leaf removal service. The guys did a awesome job thanks again for you guys hard work.

Great ownership and price for mulch. Was on time and gave me flexibility w my payment. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Leaves, snow removal and mulching. Different jobs done for me by Villarreal in the past 6 with the same great dependable results. Thanks, Ern.

I cannot believe how good their service is you call them and they responded right away to my call. They plowed my driveway now I can get out with ease will use them always.

We were waiting to blow the rest of our leaves until all the leaves were off the trees, but sadly the snow came over Thanksgiving & we missed the opportunity to do our final yard clean up so we had to call in the professionals!

I reached out to Villarreal Outdoor Services on a Sunday because they got such great reviews online in hopes they could squeeze us in before the next snowfall happening at the end of the week! Ern responded right away and said he would do his best to fit us in which I greatly appreciated!

Next thing I know he’s contacting me Monday morning and said he was in the area and could be at our house shortly for the yard clean up, which I thought was amazing that he got to us a day after I contacted him! Ern & his other team member did an INCREDIBLE job with our yard clean up (blowing, raking & hauling the leaves away) even when everything was super wet from the melted snow/rain! Our yard looks spotless & he went over everything with me when they completed the job to make sure I was happy, which I appreciated!

Ern & his team were an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish! His professionalism, work ethic, hard work, kindness, attention to detail & results were top notch at a fair price! Highly recommend them for your future yard needs! Thank you so much to Ern & his crew, keep up the good work! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow! I am so impressed with Villarreal! I had a last minute request / need and Ern totally delivered. Even my neighbor noticed what a great job he did. I’m so happy right now!

If you need excellent landscaping, call Ern today!

(Also, it’s a pet peeve of mine when contractors arrive in an ‘unmarked’ vehicle, and his vehicle was clearly identifiable and he was wearing a company shirt, which I loved as well. It really helps to know who is in the neighborhood! Another note of professionalism.)

We’ve used Ern twice now on weeks we’ve had no time to fit mowing in/when our driveway edging has needed a serious refresh. He was recommended to us by our next door neighbors and has done a phenomenal job each time. He worked so hard to clean up our overgrown driveway edges and gave us back so many inches on both sides. His prices are super reasonable and he clearly takes pride in his work. Will be using his services again for sure! (And now we need to power wash the sides of the driveway he gave back to us haha)

These guys are great! Contacted to set up a lawn core aeration. They responded the same day and were able to stop out and complete the service the following Monday. Ern did a very thorough job. Highly recommend!

I have used Ern for all of my annual extensive, very complicated mulch installations and can confidently say no other company can come close to his professionalism, amazing attention to detail and pricing. I highly recommend!

Villarreal Outdoor Services did a fantastic job cleaning up our huge amount of leaves this November. Ern was very accommodating and realistic when he came to assess our project. He and his crew showed up quickly and cleaned things up just as I wanted. There are a lot of garden beds and wood borders that had to be blown out, plus the ton of leaves just on the lawn. We’ve used various leaf services for over 15 years, and this time it was actually fun, because Ern listened to what we wanted. We really appreciate his service and look forward to more projects!
