Through my experience attempting to get my lawn mowed once. This company just acts as a middle man to “contractors” who register to do services for them. My first contractor declined the job after I confirmed my property details. Second contractor came out and mowed half of my lawn and threatened to take me to court because I don’t under that “full yard” only means front and that it’s acceptable to stop mowing half way through a strip of grass. Spoke with a third contractor after being reassigned again. Guy knew nothing and then declined the job again after I asked him what day this week he would come. And my fourth contractor has been in route to my house for over 1.5 hours and will not respond. Customer service canceled my account stated they will not charge me. All they are good for is saying sorry and we will find another crew.

LawnStarter as a company does not partner with good contractor, and the only reason you will see a five star review from them is because they have an app and that homeowner got lucky with someone actually cares.

Avoid this company. It’s a waste of time.

*** Update about a year after *** I just found out that my account was not cancelled, and am now receiving automated texts from them. I’m beyond disgusted.

Really pleased with the service I received. My grass along the skirts of my house grew wild to the point it moved the skirt off balance. Jeffery did a great job cutting it low enough for me to put the skirt back in place. The grass in the back of my house also grew wild more than the sides and front of the house. Jeffery executed wonderful! 10 out of 10 would recommend ! Pricing was also very reasonable.

Very unprofessional and extremely disappointing experience. I spoke with him on the phone and clearly told him I needed three truckloads. He explained that he could only fit four yards per load, and during that same conversation he told me delivery was free. I also asked to pay over the phone, but he said that because I was a first-time customer, I had to come in person and was not allowed to pay over the phone.
I drove there around noon based on the information he gave me, only to be told something completely different once I arrived. Suddenly, delivery was no longer free and was instead $80 per load. Then, after I had already wasted my time making the trip, he said it would need supervisor approval and denied ever telling me delivery was free.
That is unacceptable. It was misleading, dishonest, and a complete waste of my time and energy. If the policy or pricing was different, that should have been made clear from the beginning instead of changing the story after I arrived. Very poor communication and very poor customer service.
I can make it even more sharp and direct for Google if you want it to sound harsher.
