HVAC reviews in Detroit, Michigan

I recently bought a house and wanted to get the furnace tuned up for this upcoming winter season. I contacted Arrow-Therm Heating & Cooling LLC to set-up an appointment. That following day one of their service techs arrived at my home on time. After checking out my system, the service repair person showed me what was going on with my unit and recommended replacing a broken part after agreeing to the work order. The service worker told me he would have to pick up the piece, and he could come back the following day. That next evening he came back and finished up the necessary work that was needed. When he completed the repair, he showed me the old part and the new one installed. After showing me that the repair he cleaned up after himself and asked was I satisfied, and I was highly satisfied with the work and service I received from him. This whole experience with Arrow-Therm Heating & Cooling LLC was a pleasure from start to finish. They’re timely, professional, and efficient when it comes to furnaces. I highly recommend him and his team for anyone who is looking for fast and reliable heating and cooling services.

Excellent customer service, from my first conversation with Mr. Kirkland to his completion of my furnace repair. He was prompt, thorough in his inspection, and most importantly to me, he was honest and his prices were more than reasonable. I had gotten other estimates, had a failed attempt to repair, and was told I needed to replace my furnace, before I called Arrow-Therm. By comparison, I knew that their prices were fair. I highly recommend Arrow-Therm and will definitely use them for my HVAC maintenance and any future purchases. I trust this company and am thankful that I now have heat!

I love this business! It represents everything a professional business should be! The time they said they would be at my home, they were there! The gentleman was kind, polite, very knowledgeable and explained each step what he was doing and why! He respected my home, offering to wear footies over his work shoes! He worked quickly and neatly cleaning up behind himself. I highly recommend this company to anyone seeking good quality professional service!

Furnace motor died in the coldest month of the year. Arrow-Therm was able to come out the next day. The technician arrived on time, ready to work. He explained to me what the issue was, how it occurred, and the best ways to prevent it from happening in the future. There was so much dust and dirt around the blower wheel and blower housing (fan that pushed heat throughout the vents) the technician asked for a bucket of soapy water. He took everything apart, scrubbed it clean, and replaced the broken motor. He went above and beyond! This took longer than expected, but he didn't charge me for the extra hours in labor. I was only charged for replacing the motor, and the pice was reasonable. Another company I called wanted over $450 more. I would highly recommend Arrow-Therm for anyone's heating and cooling needs.

Keith is the MAN! We tried to install a video doorbell and had some trouble. The line broke off in the wall and we couldn't get to it. I had an appointment with a different electrician (Frey & Son out of Canton) and they no-showed me. Luckily, Keith called me back that morning, and said he could be there the next day. The next day turned out to be bitterly cold. Keith was a trooper!! Long story short, he had to redo some of the wiring for the doorbell, managed to fish the missing line out of the wall, and got the Skybell video doorbell up and running within a couple of hours. Thank You Keith!! We love our new doorbell, and appreciate you working through the job on such a cold day.

Keith Falzon Electric was a referral from my good friend Cheryl Davidson.
PROS:
** VERY responsive. Returns calls. Gave me a realistic expectation about when he could fit my very small job into his schedule. Followed up with a phone call to schedule.
** Was willing to come out and let my neighbor let them in , so that I didn't have to miss work to be there when they arrived.
* Cleaned up any mess that they left.
CONS:
* Had to keep calling on the appointed day to find out if they were still coming, after the appointment time came and went. It turned out that their prior jobs that day ran over, and they ended up coming the following day. The only reason this is a con is because I had my neighbor waiting around to let them in.
* I certainly blame myself for not asking up front, but I have had a fair amount of contracted work done lately, and had a good idea (I thought) of what the cost/ hour would be.
Mr. Falzon's son spent exactly 28 minutes in my house checking a loose wire and replacing a GFI outlet and dimmer switch.
(The dimmer switch was bought and nearly all connected-- a wire had come loose from the box)
I got a text that the charge was $225 for the replacement of a GFI outlet. Mr. Falzon explained that there was a minimum charge of $225 for the first hour, and additional cost every hour thereafter.
While I certainly understand that it costs money to take a small job, and send out a truck, had I known it was $225 for half hour of work, I would have never hired them.
Again, I take responsibility for assuming, and not asking what the hourly rate was. Lesson learned.
Given that I was a brand new customer, and a referral, I would have thought that the minimums and hourly charges would have been explained at the onset, or been detailed in an invoice/summary on paper after the work was done.
It was not. It was communicated by text, and I had to follow up with a phone call.
When I called to discuss the charges, the owner could not "remember" the name of the client who referred me. That was disheartening, given that she referred me.
I would not use this company again, given what I perceive as an inordinate minimum charge. -
We needed a major upgrade to our home electrical system. Keith and his son, Michael, took great care of us. Very knowledgeable, professional, and did an awesome job. If you’re looking for an electrician, look no further. Keith Falzon Electric is the best! You won’t be disappointed.

I am editing my initial review of Keith Falzone. I was pretty happy with his and his son's work last summer and so I referred him to a friend of mine. She had a minor repair to a GFCI wall plug that took Keith a total of 28 minutes to fix with no materials purchased. He never mentioned to her that he had a minimum charge for just showing up. He charge her over $250.00 for that minor repair. No invoice, no paperwork at all, just a hefty fee, which, being the honest person she is, she paid. I will no longer refer Keith to anyone nor will I use his services going forward.

Thank you for everything😊
