The staff here is very helpful. I spoke with Marianne while I was there and she was extremely pleasant and I look forward to returning to this store! I definitely recommend it. :)

I love this place. My only complaint is the prices are too high. The plants and supplies are of good quality. It's the only place in town now that Semrau sold out to a big corporation. The service there is terrible! At English Gardens it's the exact opposite. Hope it stays open forever.

This place has the best selection and quality on a wide variety of plants and trees. The staff all seem to enjoy their work and love taking care of the customers.

Always great service and selections. Staff is always helpful. If one person doesn't know about a product, they will radio someone for help who does. They won't leave you hanging.

Kinda late in the season so selection is small but still plenty choose. Got there a little early but they cama and let me in like they cared. I know weird right? Then they were friendly and helpfull. Nice to be treated like they were glad I stopped. I won't go anywhere else!!

Maryanne was awesome helping my husband and I pick out a new Christmas tree and some decorations!! Definitely ask for her! She was very helpful and wonderful with my two kids running around!!

Every single time I have gone here payment has been a pain in the a$$, ongoing with me personally for over a year. They have no chip reader yet, they blame it that my card has a worn magnetic strip except that my card swipes everywhere except at their store. In terms of the rest of their store, the prices are high but the selection is nice and most employees are quite knowledgeable and helpful regarding plant care. They say they can’t key a card in as a store policy because “we’ve been burned a few times”. I can understand being burned by the hucksters and hustlers in Detroit, but get a chip cheaper or upgrade you’re old ass credit cardswipers because from me personally you are losing hundreds of dollars in sales to online purchases and other similar area stores with maybe not quite the selection such as Souliere landscaping in st clair shores. Get with the program English gardens...

Nice local garden for picking up a few flowers/shrubs through the season. I do feel they are overpriced. I'd recommend taking the trip down to Eastern Market for some flowers if you can get up early enough on a Saturday morning. A lot of the gardening supplies I've found cheaper at Home Depot and my local Ace Hardware.

Always has a great verity of pants and containers. Love shopping here.

Hi ya, I like the store. But today I had a horrible experience. After shopping for a plant for my mother for MOTHER'S day, I was shocked😱🤯 and terrified to encounter a very large CAT, near the checkout. Since I am highly terrified of cat, I screamed and exited the store as quickly as possible. I had no choice but to leave the plants I planned on purchasing. I have shopped there in the past and never saw or encountered any animals.
This is very bad business practices. Is this also a petting zoo? I
Unfortunately, I live in the area of the store, but will not be returning.
Two⭐⭐ stars is because I've had positive experiences in the past.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Their plants really last. Sometimes even into the beginning of winter. They are beautiful and always flowering. They may cost more but they are definitely worth it!

English Gardens has quality plants and supplies. Better supplies than a Home supply store. Purchasing dirt, mulch, etc is easy. After purchasing, you just drive around and it is loaded into your vehicle. No loading, pushing or waiting for help to your car.

Exceptional customer service. They actually took the time to help me find what I was looking for, without making me feel as if I was inconveniencing them. Unfortunately that's become a rare thing these days. Based on my experience in their store, it's obvious that they understand the value of great customer service. Thank you.

All of the team members were very friendly and helpful. Elizabeth is knowledgeable, and quick to help guests. The store visit was an enjoyable experience, I plan to return soon!

I shop here all year round. I get my birdseed, spring plants, veggies, seeds.... Once I went looking for an off season item, it was not out in the store anymore. The employee helping me went outside into a storage area and found what I wanted. Great service.

Very caring, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Store is well maintained and clean offering a welcomed shopping experience. I Will always shop English Gardens in East Pointe when possible for my garden needs as well as wild bird food and garden accessories.

Great selection of plants and flowers at an affordable price. Super cute variety of planters and garden decor as well. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. I never leave this place empty handed.

Prices tend to be higher, but quality of plants is always good. If you look carefully, you'll find "manager's specials" that can be a great buy. With a little TLC the plants can come back, and sometimes they are in excellent pots. Staff is usually willing to help give seniors pieces of plants that they intend to throw away that can be used to root new plants. I've purchased partial bags of soil from there as well when available.

Always well stocked with a good variety of brands and products. Very helpful and friendly service. I always have a nice chat with the cashier before leaving. Prices are a little high but not the worst in the area at all.

Beautiful store, helpful staff. I'm an English garden shopper now.
