Home Services reviews in Eastpointe, Michigan

Don't let the higher prices scare you off! The plant genetics always seem more robust than cheaper alternatives, both in growth and flavor/color. Mostly though, the price is worth the return policy on perennials. Roots didn't take? You can get a replacement within 1 year of purchase. Knowledgeable staff really completes the experience.

Was at the Eastpointe location over the summer, and lets just say I won't be back to this place. While the store was clean & well organized, that's where the buck stops.
I bought some plants here over the summer & I specifically needed, & asked, for plants that do well in the sun. I bought $80-100 worth of plants that supposedly were great in full sun. I watered them when needed & took care of them, but they all wilted & died no matter what I did. Although these were clearance plants, if I was told that they fare well in the sun then that shouldn't matter either. Plus, staff at checkout were rude as well. I get it was close to closing time, but my goodness the attitudes were uncalled for. Been meaning to write this review & kept forgetting.
Some shopping experiences really stick with a person, as this one did me. Huge turn off. -
I like the people. Customer service is great. I hate all the Monsanto products. Michigan has so much to offer. They could sell much higher quality small-batch products to support small businesses, be better for the environment, and we'd all be better off.

This store doesn’t have much priorities but f vegetables plus most of their vegetables are bent over and broken, some of them
Look sickly but expensive.
Do not go these places for ur vegetable selection. -
I was asked if I need any help, so I was acknowledged and more than once. The have a nice sale going on and many variety of flowers. I was not busy, but that's what made shopping nice. I was greeted once I went to check out and when I drive around to the side to get my mulch and she loaded on my car for me. I had a great experience.

I always find what I need at English Gardens! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Just walking around and browsing the beautiful plants and flowers is very relaxing and enjoyable. English Gardens has been a great stable to the City of Eastpointe for many years! I enjoy shopping here. Thank you! Cynthia Hood- Proverbs 31 Stitch Lounge.

Today I went to the Kelly 9mile location to buy some plants and I needed some flower pot so I saw the pots I wanted I got two went to the register I ask the lady at the register if I could leave them on her counter to run to my car to get my money she act like she didn't the hear me so I went to my car that was parked right outside the door came right back in last then 2min the cashiers name was JACKIE she put the pot back and told me she had no idea what I was talking about so people of color you're not welcome at the 9 mile and Kelly location so please keep don't shop at that location because Jackie has been reported according to the store manager but they feel good about her racist ways so she keeps her job as the cashier. Racism at its best Jackie thank you for showing English Garden's true colors.

English Gardens is a great store that offers what they promise. Great selection, well organized, nicely staffed with knowledgeable employees.
But, MY LAWD, this place is expensive $ $ $. I'm not afraid to spend some money. But I like the delusion of value, the idea I'm getting good quality for a bit more money.
Not talking plants and flowers, I'm talking about their secondary items like pots, vases, and gardening accessories. A plastic 24" pot that's $8.99 at Walmart, $10.99 at Miejer, and $12.99 at Target is $24.99 here.
I'm sorry, but if your buying power requires you to sell an item more than 120% higher than other nearby stores. Then you should not be offering this product.
Otherwise great store, #supportyourlocalbusiness -
Not happy. Was over charged 40 dollars. I guess it's to be expected when 2 cashiers were on their phone and the 3rd one and his girlfriend were having a special moment behind the register, I had to ask if any of them were open. My first and last time at this location. Get a manager who isn't afraid to tell the cashiers to get off their phones. Made me sick to think their getting paid to play on Facebook.

English Gardens has great bulbs. I’m partial to Paperwhites; Daffodil Mount Hood, Tulips Mount Tacoma and plant them yearly.

New staff are great. I found a good selection of large potted mum's. The Christmas decorations are already up.
-
They are a bit pricey however they do have excellent plants and gardening supplies. If you are looking for something special or just a very well taken care of plant, you should definitely give them a try. Sometimes you have to pay a little more for a better product.

Absolutely love this place. They have everything I need for my garden and my house plants

I have been going to this location for years. I have never had a bad experience. The employees are helpful, kind, courteous and friendly. The plants I have purchased always thrive. I have made the mistake of going to other places, and regretted that decision. This will always be my go to place.

The staff was nice. They had what I needed in stock in spite of their website saying otherwise. So that's a big bonus and I got the assistance I needed. First time customer. Will definitely go back!

Went in before Mothers Day not the best experience but I did find this cutie. (Venus Flytrap)
I was looking for gardening supplies and waited in Gardening for almost 10 mins while the associate helped one customer, ignored me then chatted with someone for 5 plus minutes while me and my toddler stood there.
Nice price for our mini Venus flytrap -
Super organized. Great selection of a wide variety of healthy indoor and outdoor plants, garden decor, mulch, peat moss, fertilizer, and a myriad of other items for a spectacular garden. Appreciate the Scotts 4 step lawn fertilizer sale in early Spring. Entitles you to a $20 gift certificate that can be used in another transaction on the same trip. Nice! Look forward to this rite of Spring every year.

The sales clerk was very pleasant and helpful. Picked out A beautiful Peace. Lily. Gave me a discount.
At a reasonable price, my friend loves it. We'll go back and get one for myself. -
I love this store and so does my toddler! Everyone is always friendly and helpful! There's always a great managers sale and amazing variety of plant! Last time i was there i noticed baby spider plants were at the managers sale and the associate gave them to me for free.. Beware that there is sometimes a cutest cat chilling in the store. It simple sunbathes near growlights or registers, the cat is very calm and doesn't even interact with anyone.
