My LG refrigerator was having issues and metropolitanro came out and took care of everything. I didn't even have to talk to LG customer service, metropolitanro took care of it for me. Now my refrigerator is working great. Highly recommend

Tyler has repaired both our refrigerators and a dishwasher over a period of a few years. Austin repaired our dryer. Both have been extremely professional, knowledgeable and patient. The most important aspect of Tyler’s work is for me to understand how I can prevent appliances from breaking. He always explains patiently the steps we need to take in preventing breaking and misusing our appliances. His advice probably saved us hundreds of dollars because we now know how to properly use them and what type of maintenance needs to be done preventatively before anything goes bad. I was wondering how Metropolitan got its bad reviews, but may be because only dissatisfied customers take the time to post, so I decided to post my experience so that others seeking this service know that over the period of several years the work performed in our home was nothing but exceptional.

The lady on the phone always say they don't accept new customer and don't do business with you. Not very welcoming to start a conversation with callers who wants to inquire about their service.

My refrigerator was under an extended warranty, I called they sent out different company that company could not figure it out so I called Frigidaire back they sent out metropolitan appliance their technician Jamesdiagnosed The refrigerator issue and had the part in his van to fix it! Highly recommend!

Just leaving a review for their great customer service. I've had Metropolitan out to fix a refrigerator before, but it would have been too expensive to do all the repair work on an old unit. While the tech was here, I asked questions and they provided good advice for buying a new fridge based on getting parts and serviceability. My dryer is no longer working and I want to buy a new one. Being able to have my appliances serviced easily without getting the run around from the manufacturer is important to me. I called and spoke to Ashley a moment ago, who provided similar advice. Excellent knowledge - super friendly - on time (and b4 appt) courtesy call prior to arrival. I highly recommend this company. I had an oven seal replaced on an Amana stove. The rep was clean dressed & wore booties over shoes prior to entering my home

Metropolitan Appliance has fixed a few of my appliances in the past. They do an amazing job! Very informative and personal. They are the ones to take care of all your warranty and non-warranty needs in Muskegon. Love the fact that this has been family and locally owned for 54 years!

We were told a repairman would arrive between 12-4p to fix our oven, which is stuck in lock mode. Repairman showed up a half-hour late and informed us that the necessary part is no longer made. My wife provided the model number and described the issue over the phone when making the appointment.

Two questions:

1) Why didn't Metropolitan research the part status before making a residential service call?

2) How did Metropolitan intend to complete an end-of-day repair with no parts?

$95 for the service call. Never again.

I called right before close about the cooling going out on my fridge/freezer. Had a technician there the next day who quickly diagnosed it and replaced a relay switch. Reasonable price and great service!

We were told the guy would originally be out at 8, then it was changed to 10, I called days in advance to let them know I could only be there tell noon. They said it would not take long as its only a diagnostic visit. Well past 10 and when I called there was still 1 more ahead of me. Bad customer service.

Edit: once they got to me and got the part to replace it. They did a good job.

My refrigerator quit cooling and freezing on Thursday. I called LG as it was under warranty. They set me up with Metropolitan. LG set me up with a service call the following Thursday, but Metropolitan called me and had me seen that Monday. Tyler, the technician, came out and said the compressor was bad. He said it would be a 3 to 5 day wait for the part to come in.

Well, the part came in the next day, Tuesday, and he was back here Wednesday and fixed it. He provided great service and was very polite and kind. I will definitely use Metropolitan for all of my appliance repair needs. This was my first time using Metropolitan and I am 100% satisfied.

I had Metropolitan out to fix my washer in 2020. The reason I am not calling them now is because of that appointment.....
My washer worked but did not drain. The repair man took it completely apart, said it can not be fixed, and then wanted to leave without putting it back together.
I explained it was in one piece when he walked in, I want it in one piece when he leaves. The biggest complaint isn't that he didn't know how to fix it but said Our Company Can Not Fix it Because of Liability. ????? What? If a mechanic can fix my brakes, this please should have been able to fix a washing machine.

Tyler from Metropolitan just left our house after fixing our Maytag washer. He's been here a few times for different appliances with good results each time. I appreciate that he's professional, informative, knowledgeable, and patient with my questions. So thankful he checked if piece that needed replacing was under warranty. Thanks, Tyler!

Our oven quit working, the warranty place sent these guys out. (We’re located 45 minutes away from their office) Our service was great! They came out twice, once to diagnose and order the part and then again to fix it. Both times he was friendly, fast and on time. And he was even able to temporarily fix our oven until the part came in! Highly recommend!
