They are the priciest people around. They typically would charge $89.95 for any diagnostic services on a furnace and will over charge you for the parts and have $120 per hour labor fee. There are others who are more reasonable.Other places will also wave off the diagnostic fees if they do your servicing.

I had a carbon monoxide leak and the Southfield Fire Dept. said the source was my furnace. After calling these guys out, it's possible that the leak couldve came from my car (I crack my garage door as I warm up my car in the morning, so it's possible carbon monoxide couldve got in the house this way).

Anyway, these guys charged $147 to check out the problem and didnt even fix anything!! Here's the breakdown:

    $89.95 for service call
    $58 for a CO test

Oh, and he tried to slide in an extra $50 to fix a leaning vent, which he admitted likely wasn't leaking any carbon monoxide, but would do so as a precaution.

A complete ripoff. Do your pocketbook some justice and go some place else.

Had a problem where the burners wouldn't stay lit. They scheduled John to come out. He diagnosed the problem and made the repairs within a short time and was on his way. He was very knowledgeable and courteous and explained the issues and repairs needed very well. Thanks John!

I’ve always had quality, timely , and affordable service from Air conditioning Engineers.During the coolest time of this year Tim T. (Service tech) serviced our heating system today and he did an excellent 5 star job.He was very knowledgeable and thorough.
I will and do recommend them to anyone.

The technician came to the house, put his tester on the air conditioner and said we were a little over the normal limit but that was ok. He then went and looked at the heater and said everything looked to be set correctly. He then proceeded to spray out the air conditioner and while it did remove some stuff from the air conditioner, since then the air conditioner has not been working properly. Just this afternoon we returned from work to find the house at a nice and warm 82 degrees when the air is set at 75 degrees. Attempting to place a follow up call and missed closing by 2 minutes so now I have to wait for a call back on Monday while we get to deal with the heat all weekend. Waiting to see what we get told this time.

Tried calling several other companies we had used in the past including the install AC company who could make it out till Monday. This is Thursday by the way. Was thrilled when Lori the scheduler said she could have someone out by 6pm. Was so happy to hear doorbell ring at 5 and greet Sean Hall the technician. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a common electrical failure of the dual capacitator. Had one on board and installed in no time. Thank you all.

This is probably our 10th year with AC Engineers. Scheduling is very easy and they will give a call ahead to help you manage your time away from the home. Their Energy Savings Plan is a good way to keep on top of your home HVAC, ensure it is maintained and in good order before each season. All the techs are professional and courteous. Brian has been here a number of times and he is not only a great tech, but such a nice person.

    Thank again, Brian!

i called to get an estimate on some hvac installation in my home. i spoke with Jeff. he was able to quickly accommodate me and get out very quickly for a FREE estimate. the price was fair and he was very polite. Jeff ended up staying at least an extra 30min talking with me about all my other hvac concerns and questions i had. Jeff explained in detail and relatable ways my hvac system. he went above and beyond. I will absolutely be using this company again and i would highly recommend them.

AC Engineers stands behind their work. I had several problems with the 5 year old space pack AC unit AC Engineers installed in 2016. The repair took 4 service visits and a part that took 10 days to get in, yet I am still very happy with the work they did. AC Engineers really stands behind their work. They have top notch employees and they must treat them well because they are always smiling and professional, even in a heat wave. Thank you.

I actually hired this company two years ago and was satisfied with the service that was provided but this time around is a different story. A service tech came out to my house on Tuesday 5/8/18 and told me that my problem was possibly a bad contractor. (which isn't a expensive part and should be in the tech's van) I was told that with labor $89 and the part $150 and an additional 89 for the service call, that my air conditioner still might not be working after it was all said and done. With that being said I decided not to have the repair done if there was a chance that it wouldn't solve my problem. I payed my $89 service fee and received two quotes for a new AC unit at $4000 and $3800. After my experience, I decided to call and express my displeasure with the service that was provided to me. I spoke with Paul and he understood my complaint and agreed that it was a valid one but did not offer to give me a credit or send another tech out to my home free of charge. Very disappointing

    (update) 5/30/2018
I purchased a new contactor and replaced it on my A.C. unit outside, afterwards I still did not have air, I then noticed that the wire that hooks into the control panel in my furnace was disconnected, I simply re attached the wire and my a.c. unit kicked on. So I'm confused to why you don't understand my problem, to tell me that my contactor is possibly bad and that replacing it may not fix my problem, why would I spend money to (maybe fix the issue)??? It's not my problem that your tech was here for an hour and a half and couldn't figure out that the whole issue the entire time was a disconnected wire. Took me 5 mins to figure that out. I think he knew the wire was disconnected to which then explains why he was saying that replacing the contactor, may not fix my issue and why the suggested upsale for a new a.c. unit was the better option all together. So yes I'm expecting my $89 dollar service fee back for not even properly diagnosing the issue and having me spend $30 on a new Contactor for no reason. If he showed up and saw the disconnected wire and re attached it and I was back up and running, I'd obviously have no issue with service fee. Like I said, the first time your company came out in 2015, I was happy with your service and you correctly diagnosed the issue and told me how much it was to fix, this unfourtently was a completely different experience. Hopefully when I call Paul again this week, we can talk about this and resolve the issue. Thank you

Brian was absolutely fantastic! I'm a single mother and I really appreciated the way he took the time to teach me how to save money with little things I could do. I also liked the way he kept me in the loop of what he was doing to fix everything and why it's important. All-in-all fantastic experience and I would absolutely recommend Brian and the company to anybody!

Air Conditioning Engineer Technician Sean H. arrived timely to accomplish what had for years been a fairly routine inspection of the total system under my ESP maintenance contract, and a changeover from my winter (furnace) to summer (air conditioning) operation. He found a problem at the condenser and a system error code inside. He is very knowledgeable,
did an orderly diagnosis, and restored the A/C to full operation, checking all related functions (compressor, filters, blower, refrigerant charge, etc)
before departing. A very pleasant, helpful person, we appreciate his work
particularly in view of the forecast 90 degree temps predicted this week!

Daniel came out and installed my furnace, AC and thermostat. They worked all the way up until 5:30p only to find out they brought the wrong thermostat(wouldn't work with the humidifier). I got a nice shiny new furnace and AC but none of it works. Pretty cold weekend at the house. Hopefully this will be fixed fast come Monday....my mom is 60 with arthritis and the rain + cold and no heat is NOT good.
UPDATE: So Randazzo's sent out two more techs and a manager(Ron) to over see everything. They were able to fix everything(turns out the wiring was wrong and that's why the furnace wouldn't kick on) and get us together. Really appreciate how responsive they were about coming out and handling our situation. Thank you!

I had a problem with my central air conditioning when I arrived home in late afternoon on a hot day. After calling another highly rated service contractor who said it was too late in the day to help, I called Air Conditioning Engineers. They had a service technician there within 30 minutes. He diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed it. The charges were reasonable, and the customer service from both office and the technician was excellent. I would strongly recommend them for HVAC service.
