Being new to owning a fireplace I wanted to make sure it was clean and in good working order. Alan came out to check mine out. He was informative, explained in simple terms how the entire fireplace/chimney system worked, and made a small repair. He was also humorous and fun to talk to! Thanks Alan! I'd recommend Dr. Sweep to anyone.

Scheduled an appointment for December 23rd 2021 while scheduling I was informed he would bring extra supplies to cap my chimney. The young man comes without any caps last be mindful I'm prepared for the work to be done on the 23rd. I even received a text the day prior informing me how payments should be received. Just to be put off until the 27th morning. Two Monday mornings has been by I called the woman informed me she needed more research never reached back out. So I called this morning because I pulled up the video from the tech coming to my home empty handedly. Now it's the office lady must not have gotten back to me because they have slowed down and that person isn't on schedule as much but now I have the video to confirm what was stated my response was I am a manager my name is Ann and I can only set up another day moving forward. Not we apologize for your inconvenience for wasting your time not that we miss informed you upon booking by telling you the work would be preformed on the 23rd. Yet I get a bunch of excuses and nothing for my inconvenience not even an apology. Poor customer service all around.

They did a great job sweeping my chimney to get ready for this season. One downfall was they broke my thermometer probe that goes into the pipe above the stove. Waiting to hear back from them on replacement..

Update: they have been dodging my calls to replace the thermometer probe they broke. Still trying to get a hold of them after calling and speaking with people 5 times. It’s convenient that the person i need to speak with is always away from her desk. They’ve told me they would call back within 5 minutes... never heard from them. Called a few hours later and no answer. Rinse and a repeat a few times....

Dr. Sweep was very professional, thorough and detailed in their services rendered. It even came along with images of my chimney emailed along with my receipt. That was a plus! I am a happy camper! I've already referred them to family and friends.

This is the second year that we have used Dr. Sweep once for a problem that we were having with both our gas fireplace and our mom's fireplace. We came across their information on Google and setup an appointment, they knew right what was the problem and fixed both fireplaces. This year we had them to come out to do maintenance to make sure that they are ready for the winter. Exceptional service from the Schedulers to the Technicians.

We bought an older home that is a fixer-upper. Bill from Dr.Sweep came out and inspected our chimney, he gave us a full inspection. The chimney needed to be rebuilt from the bottom up, which our home inspector had said as well. We went with Dr.Sweep because #1 the estimator Bill that came to our home was such a great guy. very friendly and helpful and knew exactly what he was talking about. #2 It was the most cost effective estimate we had gotten. Fast forward everything is going great and on time. Thank you Dr. Sweep for your AMAZING service! We will be recommending this company to all our friends and family.

This poor review Is not based off work done. They may do great work I'm not sure. I called made an appointment. My house took a half day to wait for the technician. It's a no call no show. I call the office at 4:30 pm to see what's up. No one picks upI leave a message. The next day I call again hoping to reschedule, again no one picks up and I leave a message asking them to call me back. Again no call back. I would not be annoyed if we got a call after the first missed appointment explaining and apologizing. My husband missed out on a half days pay, just call and give a heads up and a quick apology. I found another company

I called Dr. Sweep to put mesh covers over my chimney and fireplace flues to keep animals out. They were very professional and responsive. The installer called to let me know when he was on his way and did an excellent job at a reasonable cost. I would definitely recommend them.

I’m disappointed I have to give one star to leave a review. This company doesn’t deserve one star. I have had not one, but two horrible experiences with this company. First, I made an appointment for a service call at the end of summer in preparation for fall/winter. Made the appointment for a Saturday, was told they’d be to my home between 9-1. Waited all day, no call no show. Finally got ahold of someone around 4:00 and the guy didn’t even know he was supposed to come to our house. He came, did the inspection, couldn’t fix the problem that day. Didn’t charge us. Okay, fine. Made another appointment to have the problem fixed, but not until nearly 5 weeks later. Guy shows up by himself (not the original plan) and can’t fix the problem because of the snow on the roof. I get no one was expecting this much snow this early in the season, but here’s the kicker. I called 2 days before my appointment knowing the snow we just got may cause an issue and they assured me they could address the problem. So I wasted my vacation day from work keeping the original appointment. I called the office complaining about the lack of communication.
Lady blames it on a “seasonal worker who wasn’t trained properly.” There’s no excuses for poor customer service. She tells me she was going to call me back in a few hours, this was at 10:00am today. It’s currently almost 10:00pm, TWELVE HOURS later, and I still haven’t received my call back. I will never recommend this company to any family or friends, ever. And I hope anyone reading this review does themself a huge favor and keeps looking. I called a different company at 3:30 today, they were to my home by 4:00, and my fireplace was fixed and running by 5:30. Oh, and the service was cheaper than Dr. Sweep!
I’ll probably never receive my call back from them, and that’s fine. I’m not interested in any “apology” from them because I know it will just be another excuse.

There are child’s lemonade stands that are run more professionally than this company.

This company oiginally installed our gas insert when we converted from a natural to a gas fireplace 2015. Great work. Great service. Randy returned to do our maintenance check up 2024. Very professional.

I would recommend Dr. Sweep to anyone looking for chimney cleaning/inspection services. Jeremy did an excellent job communicating to me what he had found during the chimney inspection. He was also very patient and answered all if my questions and addressed my concerns with his extensive knowledge of chimney/firebox maintenance and care. I’m very pleased with the information I gained through the services Dr. Sweep offered.

Booked Dr sweep for a chimney sweep, They complete the job and provide a quote for recommended repairs with no photos. I responded asking questions about the quote multiple times and did not receive a response for several weeks. The response I received was that I will be receiving a call to go over the estimate. I did not receive the call, I then call the office and they apologized and said a technician would call by end of day. It has been 2 months since the cleaning and I still have not received a call to review the estimate. It’s as if they don’t want the business.

Jeremy came to our home for cleaning of our fireplace. He was courteous, cleaned up and informed and explained some repairs that were needed. Will definitely use this company again.

Jeremy saved the day with my fireplace. He was fast, efficient, friendly and kind. He has helped me just in time for a holiday party. Thanks to him and Dr Sweep’s employees!

Horrible company, took the down payment and disappeared.
Did water test with them and agreed to the repairs. Gave them check on the October 15th. They scheduled the repairs on November 22nd, at 9am. Annoyingly long, but fine.
It started raining on/off on the Nov 20th. On the 22nd, no one showed up. At 10.30am they sent text, saying need to cancel because of the rain. I called and I asked why could not they let me know earlier. Annoyed reception told me someone would call and reschedule today. Another week passed. No one called. I called again today in the morning. Was transferred to another phone number. After 10 min wait, was transferred to the voice mail. Left a voicemail, no one called. To summarize, this company took my money, wasted more than month of my time, and disappeared.

Couldn't be happier with my bi-annaul fireplace cleaning and check-up. My service person, Adam, was awesome. I had recently replace my carpeting withan off-white color and when he walked in the door, he told me he would be replacing the drop cloth he brought because he was "uncomfortable" with using it. It was pretty dirty. He called his office right then, we changed my appointment and when he returned in a couple of days, he had a new clean drop cloth. Needless to say, I was very impressed. The company is excellent and I will continue to use them. I highy recommend them!

Dr. Sweep provides excellent chimney cleaning services. Two years ago they installed my fireplace insert and last year and again this year I called them back to clean and inspect my flue. I am completely satisfied with their work and I highly recommend Dr. Sweep to anyone needing chimney services. I would especially like to thank Adam for a job well done.

The installer did a great job replacing the refractory panels our fireplace. There was a minimal amount of debris left in the fireplace.

I was completely sold on the company when Bill Peterson came out for the initial inspection and quote. I felt that he was very honest and he took the time to properly inspect the fireplace and explain the process. Note: we received a quote from another company, but Dr Sweep was by far the best, not just the cost, but overall customer service.

A great company with great service and knowledgeable professionals to help fix, clean or inspect your chimney and/or fireplace. The owner, John and his whole team treat you like family and make sure the job is done right and best part is they don't charge you an arm and a leg to get it done. Highly recommend!

Jeremy was very kind, courteous and professional. When he ran the camera he took the time to explain to me what i was seeing and the work that would be needed to insure we would have a safe and proper working fireplace. I could not have been more pleased with the service I received and will definitely have Dr. Sweep come back for the work we need done in the future.

Haven't used fireplace since i moved in over 5 years ago. Jeremy, was great, showed me how to use the fire place and gave me some awesome suggestions and really cleaned it out. Thank you very much!!
