I live in a town house in Woodbury that used to take care of the weeds but stoped.So I called Tru Green and it was amazing how the weeds are all gone now.Now the association is going to take care of it again I guarantee that don’t do a great job like Tru Green period

Addendum:
Dropped my review down to one star due to the daily phone calls over the last week asking why we want to cancel and Trugreen keeping our account open (not cancelled) for a property walk through with a manager to discuss problems. We have informed Trugreen multiple times, we do not want a walk through. They also have shown up to our house for additional services since. How many times can one household cancel a service?

After two years of the below services, there was no visible change in our yard.

We subsequently cancelled then their team returned the following season and provided lawn care while we were not home. This has been done twice. We have officially “cancelled” their services three times.

Their team has always been pleasant to communicate with and we have appreciated their customer service representatives.

The TruGreen employee was very pleaent and professional. He did the work quickly and was through with the application that was provided

Thank you True Green for all of your help! We are very pleased with the progress being made in our yard. We had a lot of weeds besides creeping Charlie. So now the creeping Charlie has disappeared in some areas and is almost gone in others. Thanks again, Cathy and Brad Swanson

Technician was very Polite and Informative and did an Excellent Job . Checked in before work and advised me on what services were being provided, and checked in when finished, to advise me on time frame before allowing dog to go outside and thank me .

Sales personnel are not informed enough to be selling services, I don't even know if the technicians are smart enough to spray the lawn. I requested my dirt be evaluated, aerated, and over seeded prior to an regularly scheduled spraying because I don't have grass to spray. It would have been a waste of time, money and resources. The salesman assured me I would have an evaluation and seed first because I am certain my soil is acidic. ALSO the salesman initially quoted me double, so... ugh. Anyway the technician came out and seemed to have no idea what he was doing. I was under the impression he was there to aerate and seed. Instead, he was there to spray something that would have prevented seed germination for 90 days. That is the exact opposite of what was requested by me and agreed to by TruGreen. Luckily I stopped him from destroying any chance we had at getting grass and instead he simple applied lime to bring down the acidity, thank you. However when I called to then ask when the seeding would happen I still get the same problem. No seed for 8 weeks and they offered a 10% discount to not do what was requested. I don't really understand that sales logic, but the cancelation process was easy, so thank you for that. This is by far my worst experience with a lawn care provider.

The technician that serviced my yards was extremely helpful and courteous. I watched him do a thorough examination of the yard and treated the weeds that remained after the first application. I would definitely recommend true Green. I’ve always had good luck with this company and they’ve always fulfilled their promises on a green weed free lawn for me throughout the years

Excellent service. My lawn looks so much better free of weeds and greener. I am glad I don’t have to have all the different chemicals around that it takes to treat the variety of weeds I had growing or buy and handle the chemicals - they are expensive and dangerous. I am happy to have trained professionals that l know what to use and manage the care.

Call yesterday to sign up for a new account. Everything went fine, never asked for a discount just said sign me up. I called back about an hour later to ask them to switch credit card on file. The customer service representative was horrendous. She kept speaking over me, would not listen to a simple request and when she finally made the change, she did it wrong. After 30 minutes I just told her to cancel my account. She said she did and a refund would be issued in 5 to 10 days. Even though they took my money in less than a three minute phone call, it takes 5 to 10 business days to give it back. I said fine and told her thank you. The next day, TruGreen sends me a text saying my first application would commence today. I called them back and another customer service representative said my account was never cancelled. It took another 30 minutes to cancel my account and she told me it would be 7 to 14 business days to get my money back. I was a new customer for less than an hour and the headache their customer service support has proven I never want to sign up with them. Horrendous experience!

Ruined a large section of my lawn. Customer service is HORRIBLE. You absolutely can NOT contact the local office. Even the local number routes you to the national office where your requests for help will die (like your lawn). Yes, I’ve used the email that you’ll see them provide in other reviews with the same response: ZERO. AVOID!!

Had the lawn aerated and seeded the first tech missed a couple spots they sent out another tech to aerate the area. It didn’t get done for free. He did a great job.

Highly Disappointed. Took membership last year for lawn care. Lawn was perfect but with some weeds. I see the big patch of dead grass area now at backyard this season. They are asking for grub control and reseeding. Things could have been better, if identified before itself when they had a visit before winter. No appointment availability soon.

Been using TruGreen Burnsville since May 2016 and they maintain our lawn Beautifully. The staff is kind and they do a great job each application.
All we do is cut, edge and irrigate.
Grub control, fertilizers and weed maintenance is in the contract.
Highly recommended if you want Beauty and simplicity with the labor reduction on your end.

I had a re-service today after my original TruGreen appointment got rained out, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Cornelius was my technician, and he was absolutely fantastic. He took time to listen to my concerns, explained what he was doing, and was incredibly thorough and professional. You can tell he genuinely cares about doing a great job. It’s rare to find that kind of service these days, and it’s what keeps me coming back. Thank you, Cornelius, for going above and beyond- TruGreen is lucky to have you!

I have never used a lawn service before and my lawn looked it. So I didn't want to cheap out this time since I've been going without for so long. TruGreen may not be one of the cheapest lawn services in town, but I would never go with anyone else. Each time a technician came out to perform a service they were very efficient, polite, and thorough. I've called customer service several times with questions or to request that a service be repeated and there has never been a question about doing it. If I was not satisfied with the amount of weeds that had been killed with the last treatment there was never a hesitation on their part about coming out and gladly repeating it. Again, very polite and customer oriented. I guess this is one of those situations where you get what you paid for. For the most important part, how effective was it? Well, they came out a couple times to respray weeds but eventually they seem to have gotten most all of them, again with no hesitation about repeating the service. Now with this final aeration and overseeding I'll know next year how effective that was. But I have no doubt that if I'm not happy they will address it.

They have an aggressive sales team but their services are the worst. They send inexperienced kids to perform the applications. They skip applications regularly and sometimes don’t even perform the service and just put the yard sign and leave. They’re unbelievably unprofessional. I bought their services despite my friend suggesting not to because the first service was good. But that’s all it is. They send an experienced person for the first time and once you’re reeled in, they’ll ignore you as a customer.

We have had good luck with TruGreen for many years.
But giving a review when we were not home has to wait for a couple weeks to see how things green up!

Exceptional service right up to when you discontinue services. After that, expect spammy calls every month trying to resell you services. Cancelled my services in 2025 due to dramatic cost-of-living increases and economic uncertainty with every intention to be a returning customer when the economy stablized but repeated and continuing spammy calls guarantee i wont be returning.

Advice for future customers. register a disposable number to avoid nuisance calls.

Technician was very cordial and did an excellent job explaining to me the seasonal changes to the application process . He performed the weed control with a great attitude . I think that I probably misunderstood what the original technician explained to me and did an excellent job and appreciated the work he did .

CHARGED US DOUBLE the second time appointment. And on top of that OVER TREATED our lawn and left large dead spots all over the front and backyard. This was verified by a manager that came to look, he said we might have to re seed. THIS IS A VERY COSTLY AND TIME CONSUMING MISTAKE on their part. I'm NOT very exited to say the least. They haven't even called us back to discuss what steps to take next ....
