Reviews of local pros in Coon Rapids, Minnesota

We've worked with a lot of contractors and I've never had the issues that I've had with 10K. 10K came out to our house in May 2023 to provide a quote on our roof and siding repair following storm damage. The roof got done fairly quick, and then it was radio silence for months. It was only after we called them and followed up that we were able to get them to come back out and try to replace our siding.

Eventually we got approval for the siding (in May 2024)Then it was an issue of getting it done, which created a lot of issues:

1) The top piece of our siding that was near our attic blew off our house after they'd replaced it. We didn't find it until the next week.
2) They misplaced our outdoor flood lights and had to replace both of them, which was nice but the timers were not set at the same settings, or even alligned to each other, creating more work for me.
3) Their subcontractor had to come over 3-4 times to get the external electrical outlets replaced. At least two of those times were because they were not following municipal codes (so I was told). It was finally done to code, but it made everything drag on and by the time our repair was approved our insurance claim had closed anyway. Not to mention the disruption it had with a big dog and two people working from home.
4) As Ive been walking the property I've noticed nails lying around near our house which were never picked up. Some have nearly been run over with a lawn mower or weed whipper.
5) The external water faucet is no longer mounted to our house. I will have to caulk it myself to avoid water getting back there.

In short. The project got done. I can say that. (thus the 3 stars) But it was a lot of grind and hand holding to get there. They went over on time, and didn't deliver the quality we expected.

As a retired general contractor, I was totally impressed by Jake and 10K construction. From the day I called through all the job, I was given a heads up on every detail. When crew arrived, they put tarps around my home and when supplier delivered roofing, they made sure they followed OSHA requirements. Same as their crew. When the work was completed, second superintendent walked my roof to make sure nothing was left around. Thanks for a great job well done!

Jake and his crew were awesome. We had 10K Construction replace our roof after some wind damage. Everyone was very professional. Jake was really helpful dealing with our insurance company. The crew did a great job cleaning up all the debris. We couldn’t even tell they had been there the day after. They finished the whole roof in one day. We will be using them again for future projects.

Fantastic experience with Troy Miller. He spoke to me so I could understand and I appreciate that so I can follow the process easily. Hard working and to the point which is a wonderful breath of fresh air. Thank you so much for your hard work and honesty.

JP had great communication and gave us a rough estimate on how much longer our roof would last, we will be looking to do our apartment complex next spring. Thanks again JP and 10k construction!!!

Tom provided an assessment of our roof this spring. He was friendly, thorough and careful with our property. He deemed our roof to be in good shape for it's age, and pointed out a couple smaller things that he thought we should take care of. He came to us highly recommended, and we can see why. We would definitely recommend him to others and will definitely use 10K Construction when it comes time to replace our roof.

After I called 10K, Jake came out to assess the damage on my roof. He was very knowledgeable and a delight to work with. He made what is usually a stressful situation, painless. I HIGHLY recommend 10K for any project you might have. Thanks again guys!

JP did a great job on all the gutters, roof,. Etc. He was professional and friendly and very thorough. Everything looks great, works perfectly and I couldn't be happier.

Highly recommend 10k Construction after being referred by a couple of my neighbors. We had a different company knock on our door for a free roof inspection, gave false information, then never followed up with us. Called 10k and they were able to come out the next day and provide us with an honest assessment. They were quick, responsive, and completely transparent. They will definitely be our go-to company going forward!

I recently had the pleasure of working with 10k Construction, and I can't recommend them enough! From the moment I reached out, their team was incredibly personable and attentive. They made the entire process stress-free without the need for any door knocking or pushy sales tactics – a refreshing change from the 12 I had Sunday following this past 3.5 inch hail storm in Monticello!

This being my first claim experience, I was surprised to I feel completely at ease knowing that my home was being inspected by Jake himself!

JP project manager, of 10K, was great to work with, answered all questions n concerns. The crew did great work, working long hours, and always so friendly. We love how everything turned out.

10K construction team is top notch! Everyone that we worked with for the new siding and roof on our home were extremely helpful and truly listened to our questions and wants/needs. The job was done in a timely matter with nothing but professionalism. Highly recommend!!

I've had Troy do several projects over the years. He's done numerous jobs for my friends, family and even my work. He is very knowledgeable about all the products and helps you pick out items that fit your goals, budget and always considers your time. I'm never afraid to give him a referral because i know he will take care of them and i always look like a star when he is done with a project!

I totally recommend 10k Construction , Jake and Craig are the best people to work with …

I am writing to let you know how pleased we are with you solving a very difficult problem. As you know we had a persistent leak from our roof at the junction of the chimney and the roof line. I appreciate all of the efforts that you made to come out, and repeatedly water test the problem until we were actually able to find it and get it resolved. Your quick response to my calls and professionalism we're most appreciated and I can't tell you how happy we are to have this problem ultimately taken care of. I am grateful that you were recommended to us and you have my strongest endorsement

Troy came out and provided a free inspection of our roof last month. He was so detailed, knowledgeable and I honestly felt I learned so much from him through the entire experience. He gave me honest advice for our situation and I never felt pushed or rushed. He even brought his boss with him as a second set of eyes. That really stood out to me and definitely set 10K Construction apart from all the rest! Thank you Troy!!

My husband and I quite by chance learned of and called on 10K Construction for a leaking roof problem only to learn we had a massive black mold problem. 10K helped us through the whole roof and insulation replacement with prompt and reliable service. Angel and his Crew were fast, efficient and respectful of our property - something we had not received with prior vendors. I can't say enough about how professional everyone was. We would recommend this company to anyone searching for a full service general contractor.

I recently had the opportunity to work with Troy Miller and the team at 10K Construction, and I couldn't be more impressed. From start to finish, they followed through on every promise and delivered outstanding results. Troy earned my complete trust through his professionalism, clear communication, and integrity. It's rare to find a team that’s this committed to doing things the right way—and 10K Construction truly delivered. Highly recommended!

If you’re looking for a contractor that will not only exceed expectations, but also ensure a hassle free experience- look no further than 10k Construction. My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Jake (owner) and Troy (sales) who both went above and beyond every step of the way to ensure our vision came to life. I wouldn’t hesitate to call 10k again for my next project!

We needed a quote for our house that was set to close/sell within the next 3 weeks. They were extremely prompt at coming out to the property to write a quote (and verify that the roof did need to be replaced). We ended up giving the buyer a credit on the purchase price so they could hire and oversee the roof replacement but I would not hesitate to contact on any future projects!

Very impressed with 10K Construction. Project Manager Tom Sletten came highly recommended to me and he was friendly, great on communication, and got me the help I needed for my roof in quick timely manner. I will be using this team for future projects when needed
