Constraction reviews in Maple Grove, Minnesota

We've been using Intelligent Design for a remodel. They have been amazing! They show up on time and get the job done. Cody has gone above and beyond. He stayed late and helped us dig for a gas line, then fixed it. He came out early to help me figure out another issue. I can't recommend him/them enough!

We were extremely impressed with the quality of work on our home. We had hail damage and Intelligent Design worked directly with our insurance company to bring the project to completion. They resided and reroofed our home, they are a great company to work with. Their staff has excellent communication styles and the quality of their work was top notched.

Val and Tony did an awesome job for us on all our roofs (3 over two years)! Great to work with, experience does count and these two are an amazing team!

I have had many shared customers with intelligent design corporation. I've specifically had many positive claims interactions and outcomes using Val and Tony. Both are true professionals and are well versed in the insurance claims process!! Thank you both for communicating so well with both myself and our shared clients!

In picture 1, this is one of the many examples of the quality of work that I.D. does. They came back twice to redo it and in the process, uncovered some of what they had covered over when they sided our house.(pictures 2 and 3). I was told that if I wanted the rotten wood (which they had covered up) to be replaced, I would have to pay them $125 an hour to do so. Who knows how much more rotten wood was covered up.l put up with alot of screw ups by them but this was the last straw and so I need to share the rest of the story.
They claimed to have a very well trained roofing crew. That was not true. They were a Mexican crew that was very hard working but had no idea what they were doing. Picture 4 shows flashing being cut into the chimney and is,obviously, too short. I called them on it and they replaced it with flashing tall enough to cover up their screw up. In picture5 you can see a buckled shingle that they, untruthfully, said would flatten out in time. It was nailed incorrectly so it was not going to flatten out.
Picture 6 is showing the damage done to our siding when one of the roofers dropped a ladder on it.
Picture 7 (zoom in) shows the scratches that they put in our maintenance free decking.
The trim work should have been done before the siding, in order to hide the nails but they did the siding first so now I have nails in the face of all of the trim.(very amateur)
They went into my garage and took wood to be used on the project. Took out a screwdriver that they left in the backyard when they left and took out a ladder, which they broke and replaced.
As Barb Ness had said in her review, we also signed an open contract and watched I.D. charge the insurance company more and more money and so that they cannot claim that we weren't a customer, like they did to Barb, I have posted picture 8.
This is, by far, not the extent of our disappointment with Intelligent Design but should suffice to caution you to do business with someone else.

Golden Construction did a great job with our storm damage. They completed our roof, gutters, garage doors, and shakes. Justin was great at keeping the project on task. He did an excellent job making sure everything was completed as agreed on. I would highly recommend Justin and Golden Construction.

Our experience with Golden Construction was great. Justin came out promptly after we contacted him to take a look at our roof. He found and documented hail damage and met with the insurance adjuster and went up on the roof with him to point out the damage. The roof replacement was scheduled promptly and done on a Saturday. The Golden workers worked fast and hard, were careful about surrounding shrubbery, cleaned up and got the job (a large roof!) done in one long day. Justin came out multiple times to check on the work during the day. We would recommend Golden Construction!

Justin was involved from start to finish. He made the process so easy and walked us through everything, he even handled the insurance side of things as well. His crew worked with me on specific things i needed without any questions. They did a great job cleaning up after as well. 100% recommend working with Justin!

Golden Construction does a great job at organizing, managing, and coordinating throughout a project. There was frequent communication between all parties, which in the end, yielded extraordinary results! I've had nothing but the most professional and positive interactions with employees from Golden Construction.

Our lake home on the Whitefish Chain sustained hail damage from the summer 2024 storm. Justin took the time to drive 3 hours and take care of our roof, gutters and downspouts along with one of our neighbors. He was onsite for every meeting and during the roof and gutter replacement. In fact, he inspected the downspouts and found damage and made the company come back and replace the downspouts that were dented. I would highly recommend Golden Construction for any restoration job on your home or business.

The professionalism of Golden Construction was unmatched. Every step of the process from beginning to end was smooth. This was my first time having to repair storm damage and Golden Construction easily explained each step of the process. They were timely with their responses and work. They are thoughtful of your family, including pets. They timed their work to accommodate my family's needs. They kept the area well cleaned of debris to ensure the safety of my dogs. I'm hoping I'll get many years with my new roof before needing work on it again, but if I do need work done again, I know my first call will be to Golden Construction.

As someone with discerning taste, I’ll admit I was skeptical about finding a contractor who could match the quality and aesthetics I demanded for our home. Golden Construction not only met my expectations—they redefined them. From the initial design consultation to the final walkthrough, their team treated our project like a work of art.
Every detail was executed with precision—no corners cut, no compromises. What truly impressed me was their transparency. They provided 3D renderings to visualize the project upfront and stayed on budget. Their crew was respectful, meticulous, and left the property spotless daily.
If you have great taste and want a team that treats your home like their own masterpiece, Golden Construction is the only choice!

Our entire experience from start to finish was great!! Golden made this process very easy and comfortable for us! Their amazing team replaced our roof and siding within weeks of our storm damage. Most importantly, they were diligent in keeping our property clean both during and after all projects were completed. I can’t recommend them enough!

Golden Construction did an outstanding job on my roof! They had previously replaced the roof on my parents’ house, and after seeing their professionalism and quality workmanship, I knew exactly who to call when my own home was damaged from a storm a month prior. I didn’t go with any company that came by at first because I wasn’t very impressed with their presentation and overall way of going about it. Golden Construction from start to finish was efficient, courteous, and meticulous in their work. They completed the job on time, cleaned up thoroughly, and the new roof looks fantastic. The team was extremely easy to work with, and was very professional. I highly recommend Golden Construction to anyone in need of roofing services—top-notch work and exceptional customer service!

Truck t-503 On 169 at 2:24 PM June 3rd. If I have another one of your trucks ride my bumper like that again I will turn the video footage from my car into the police for reckless driving. There is absolutely no reason to be riding somebody's bumper lke that. If they are any indication to the quality of safety you have at your company I wouldn't touch you with a ten ft pole
