The service was great. The technician was thorough. The price for the work I had done was outrageous!! To put a shutoff valve on a copper gas line should not cost $715!! It took the tech under 30 minutes to do this. The valve couldn’t have cost more than $35. What a ripoff!!

Tyler and Heather did an outstanding job installing our new electrical panel. They were efficient, professional, and incredibly kind throughout the entire process. Everything was completed smoothly, on time, and with great attention to detail. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and it really shows. We couldn’t be happier with the results and would highly recommend them to anyone needing electrical work done.

Amazing from start to finish. Friendly, knowledgeable staff A-Z! Garrett helped assess my situation, explained my options in great detail and felt like he was a neighbor I wish I had! The install team did a fabulous job, very pleased.

We cannont say enough great things about Dean's. Our furnace decided to go out the coldest week of the year. Within 45 minutes of our intial call Sam N was at our house. Unfortunately we needed to have a full replacement. Once we knew that we needed to replace the furmace Dale T was next. He gave us several options to chose from. When we knew what we were going to do, Daniel T was next to come to the house to replace the furnace. All three of these guys were kind, professional, informative, and not one of them tried to sell us something that was not needed. We appreciated getting the bio of each of the techs coming to the house along with their qualifications. Highly reommend Deans for any HVAC needs. Five stars all the way. We will for sure be using them again in the future and are telling all of our friends and family about this amazing customer service!

We just had Brian out to fix a very leaky faucet in the bathtub. We needed to replace the cartridge in the faucet. He was helpful with sharing information that I’ll use for future projects and he left our bathtub faucet looking better than before. He was kind and speedy at the repair.

Update on March 5: Lee from Deans came out again today to install some valves on my mother’s boiler. While he was there, he added water so she would have heat. This work was done so we can hire a company to find a pipe leak.

Deans is a great company. I’ve had nothing but excellent experiences with them.

I called to have my 92 yo mother’s boiler bled. My mom was very happy with the service. She said Jacob was thorough, very nice and took his time to explain things for her. I really appreciate all he did today.

We called Dean’s after an electric heater and thermostat caused a small electrical fire. They came out right away and guided us on steps we needed to take to ensure our garage was safe.

I appreciated that each electrician and HVAC guy took the time to explain and then talk me through next steps which included having to replace our whole electrical panel. The crew that showed up was great and thorough

We also did a few odd jobs that they did great on those

Absolute pleasure working with both Colin M and Justin K. Quick response, throughly documented any issues, provided clear solutions and even talked with our landlord to help determine best steps forward.

I have never been so disappointed after spending so much money with Dean’s Plumbing. My home is in the middle of a war zone remodel — walls open, floors torn up — and I was relying on their expertise and guidance to help me through it.

We had a contract. That contract was a promise. They came in, did the drains, and then abandoned me. No waterlines, no completion, no accountability. Just a battlefield of dust and debris left behind, and me scrambling to find another plumber in the middle of the fight.

We even tried to get them back on the project, to hold them to their word, but they flat-out refused, even after the city said they are clear to work in the house/ have permission to continue the work, they refused. Now we’re forced to dish out even more money for another plumbing company to finish what they left undone. It honestly feels like we’ve been robbed — paying once for work that wasn’t finished, and paying again just to make our home livable.

They boast about supporting the military, yet when things got tough, they abandoned a soldier in the middle of a battle. That’s not support. That’s betrayal.

Every day I walk through my home and see the wreckage they left, I feel the weight of that broken promise. Renovating is already overwhelming — but being deserted mid-battle, after signing a 18k contract, feels like a robbery in broad daylight.

If they could abandon me in the middle of a battle, they could abandon you too. Think twice before trusting them with your home.

I am learning about the club membership plan that Dean's Home Services provides. With a membership, they provide 5 wellness evaluations per year. I just had plumbing inspected with Ben N. I appreciate the water heater flush, softener and plumbing inspection with notes about whether repair or replacement is needed now or in the future. There was no high-pressure sales pitch. Ben was helpful, articulate, and knowledgeable. We even shared an interesting conversation while waiting for the water heater to drain. Great service and staff at Dean's Home Services!

Huge shout out to Mike W.
Professional, polite, and knowledgeable. I wanted to try to do the repair myself and decided to call instead. I instantly felt comfortable and confident Mike had it under control. Now we can sleep knowing it’s done right! If ever in need of service again we know who to request. Great job Mike, appreciate you.

I had used Dean’s service once before when emergency service was needed for ‘the smell of gas’. My sister’s home was built in 1921 & carries its age well but needs assistance once in a while & this was one of those times.

Dean’s was once again able to send a Journeyman out in less than 30 minutes. Wow! Pat S was our person & he went over the whole small basement, as I requested, & I watched him find a couple of gas leaks. He explained everything quite well. He made a video, per protocol, of a materials list for the next Journeyman to complete the work, the next day!!!!

The Journeyman Brad V & his apprentice arrived the next day by 8am & promptly got to work. Brad was the first Journeyman I had met several months ago. They completed the somewhat large project in about 2 1/2 hours! Brad showed what was installed & I appreciated the education along the way. Thank you Dean’s for the excellent & fast emergency service. Kudos!

Gage was prompt, personable and professional. He assessed thoroughly the situations at hand, explained my options and , in my opinion, went above and beyond what I had expected. He built trust and empowered me to make decisions on the work that needed to happen. I am totally impressed with Gage and recommend him and Dean’s highly

Jacob was wonderful to work with, very skilled and friendly. The proper repair was rather unique but his comprehensive understanding of the furnace really aided in getting our heat operational quickly. He even stuck around for a few extra minutes just to make sure all was well. Highly recommend!

Everyone I came into contact with from Dean's was excellent--from the receptionists to the service professionals! Sam N came the same day my heating went out and was able to get it up and running again, alerting me that it was a temporary fix (my furnace was 18 years old and quite rusted on the inside, it turns out!). He showed me his diagnostics and explained everything. Then Tyler C came to discuss options for a new system, as this one was on borrowed time. Tyler worked with me to find the best system for my home to fit my needs and budget, and helped me get me a set up with a payment plan that I'm very happy with. Two days later, Korey D and Luke L arrived on time to remove my old units and install the new. They were also excellent! After installation was complete, Luke walked me through the new thermostat and all of the new equipment. Every single one of them throughout this experience was kind, respectful, thoroughly explained everything, all while answering my questions along the way. They each even took the time to pet my dogs. Will definitely recommend Dean's to everyone I know and will call them whenever any issues arise!

I had Dean’s Home Services in Minneapolis south metro come out and help disconnect & reconnect my gas Appliances while getting new flooring installed. Connor L was very thorough with the work that needed to be done, including some updates needed to ensure our set up meets current code. The new connections also allow for better mobility of the units themselves.

Overall, great experience and the price seemed fair given the scope of work needed. I would use Dean’s Home Services again in the future.

**edited to add: The $4500 quote had nothing to do with our main line. This was quoted directly to get our toilet reinstalled after they pulled it to get access to our main line. They claimed that they could not do a flange repair without demoing the concrete and redoing all the plumbing which is not true because I found another licensed plumber who can repair it for $300 to $600. I even directly asked the plumber if there was no way they could get our toilet installed without having to do everything that they quoted. They effectively left us without a usable bathroom after clearing our main line.**

Initially, I was happy with the customer service however, upon getting a second opinion for an issue that they created in my home I am completely dissatisfied with this company. To clean our main line they removed a toilet and then told us they couldn’t put the toilet back. In order to put the toilet back they quoted us $4500 in work which include included partially demolishing the floor and us needing to get a new floor which would be a separate quote from a separate provider. I asked for clarification that there was no other workaround that could get us back into a functioning bathroom for less and they gave me a convoluted reason as to why everything needed to be done the way it was done. I reached out to an independent local plumber and he told me he could fix it for $300 to $600 and would require no demolishing whatsoever, all the issues they claimed were absolutely required to be fixed just weren’t true. They left me with a bathroom that is unusable with a toilet completely detached and then tried to strong arm me into a $4500 completely unnecessary fix. They are grifters. We overpaid for the initial mainline clearing, which is something I’m now realizing, but at the time we just needed, our drains functional again. And they automatically signed us up for some membership, which now I need to go cancel because I have no interest in having these people in my home again. I would recommend avoiding them completely.

Zack b did a great job wiring the a/c after it was installed and checked for codes. Definitely enjoy his service; he was much more informative, and willing to help answer questions where I needed. He deserves a raise for going above and beyond explaining things to me that previous techs just couldn't that was relates to the furnace and a/c unit we just brought.

I am giving this review as a total experience. The overall score I would give a 3, with sales pitch being a 1 and all the other service a 5.
I’d like to start by saying I was well aware my furnace was very old, and it was not going to last forever. In addition, my GF had her furnace and air conditioner replaced last year so I have a general idea of the cost.
So when I woke up at 5:15 with my house sitting at 57 degrees I knew it was not good. I started looking for repair services, reading reviews, and price of having someone come out same day. It was not overly cold that particular day, but was supposed to be in the 10’s or colder in the next few days. In addition I was trying to see details like financing, and any promotions.
I decided to call Dean’s and they said they would send a tech out and I would get a text when they were on their way. The only issue up until the tech arrived was it would have been nice to know they were coming from Delano, which at that time of day was over an hour away, but this was not a huge deal, it would have just been nice to know.
The tech arrived, and he did his investigating, then took me down to show me live images as he placed the camera inside the guts of the furnace. It was not pretty and he explained the furnace was actually 29 years old, and if parts were available it would be close to $8000 to repair.
Having researched a bit about repairs, I knew just to go with replacement. So I let the tech know I was kind of aware of the price and if a bid was too high I would be getting a second quote.
He stated a number and I said that was way high.
He then became very defensive and said he would not give a lower quote, and tried to give me some story about another customer who went with another service and he got underbid. I said that I should be able to get multiple quotes, and he said he had to red tag it, and if I did not go with them that day, that he would not work with me. I asked which brand they use so I could at least look up some information, and again he got really defensive and said anything I found on line would not be accurate. I was really beginning to get the feeling I was buying a used car that would break down after 20 miles.
When someone is in kind of a little crisis, no heat in winter, the good business person would not make the customer feel exploited.
I asked for a written bid and then miraculously he said he could take $4000 off the original price he quoted. Then he said if I got his crew going and on the move right away, he could take another $1000 off.
Now the price was more in line with what I expected. I really did not want to start the whole process over again so I decided to go with them. I did ask about financing as other companies were advertising 12 and even 24 months of 0% financing, but Dean’s only offers 3 months of 0% and then it raises to 9%.
That was the service that earned a 1
Now when the crew showed up to actually do the work, they were very professional, got to work right away, explained what was going on, and did what they needed to do.
Everything seemed to go well, was cleaned up and they walked me through everything they did and what was going to happen with the electrician and the city inspection. No issues, they did what the needed to and there were no real issues that would warrant further discussions. The work they did made up for the first part of the day.
I think it’s important when asked to give feedback to do so in a fair, honest manner, the same way is expect to be treated as a customer.

I had a great experience with Dean's. My 27+ year old furnace had been struggling to keep my house warm this winter, I was always so cold and I knew it was time to face the fact that I had big decisions to make. If a repair would take care of the issue, how long would it last and would a repair even work? Or was it time for me to face the fact that I needed to have a new furnace installed at a substantial hit to my bank account? And lastly, who would I call that could get the job done in a timely manner with a cold snap on the way?
When I called Dean's, I received same day service, and after tech Justin had taken a look at my furnace, he showed me my repair options but also offered to contact a Dean's employee who specialized in financing and that could help me with my project should I decide to choose replacement. Within a couple of hours Tyler arrived and helped me through everything I needed to know about moving forward with my final decision to replace my old furnace.
The next morning, the new furnace and parts were delivered, the installers arrived around noon and my new furnace was up and running by 3PM.
My experience with Dean's was flawless. Everyone was so great. I received texts and calls during the day keeping me updated on the progress of my issue, who and when a representative would arrive and everything was on time and so professional.
In the end, my decision not to go with a repair and to replace my furnace instead, was for my peace of mind, (a repair would have kept me on edge all the time, wondering when the furnace would break down permanently and I would end up with new one anyway) and now I definitely have that thanks to Dean's Home Services.

Luke came out on a snowy Sunday on short notice and fixed some wiring safety issues we stumbled across. He also thoroughly unwound some panel labeling and breaker issues. He’s calm, personable, and knows his stuff. Highly recommended!
