We started using Balsam Tree a year ago when we moved into the area. They have been punctual and have taken down dying trees and have moved large piles of debris left in the yard by previous owners. Would highly recommend them

I'm trying to think of what I could give a star for. I came home to see that the entire Blvd of flowers were destroyed but that's to be expected as a tree was coming down. I learned after they left not from them telling me that they cracked 5 of 7 concrete squares. The lawn had been re sodded the year before. Instead of parking on the street or driveway that the tree was next too. They backed into the yard, and destroyed the lawn. They left the stump and were going to return to finish. Wish never happened. The owner came to assess and was unapologetic and dismissive. My Dad asked him to please fix what he broke, nothing more and we would GLADLY pay the bill in full. He claimed we were trying to get all 7 squares replaced on his dime. Nope just the 5.He refused. He took us to court. He got paid. The stump is still there, sidewalk still cracked and lawn has deep ,long set of tire tracks that I can make the tread out in them. He said to take a pitch fork and "fluff" it. That was all it needed. I was trying to give business to locals. I feel so bad I gave my Dad this business' number. Thanks for being reasonable and fixing what your company damaged!

Had a large tree remove and a larger tree trimmed. They showed up on time, removed both in under two hours, and cleaned up everything so it looked like there never was a tree there. Wonderful service from start to finish and the price was extremely reasonable. Would recommend to anyone.

Highly professional, excellent service removing extremely large, hazardous ash tree. A hundred foot, 45 ton crane was used to lift cut limbs over house. All work was done safely and efficiently under Nick’s direction. We were very satisfied with the service.

Chuck has been taking care of our property for over 40 years. We have a lot of trees and it's the highest priority to keep them healthy. We trust Balsam to care for all our trees.

The guys were professional and friendly from the start. Even though they had the work order and knew what needed to be done, they wanted to be sure we were both on the same page before the work started. The guys scanned the yard for safety to be sure items (i.e. chairs, lights, bird feeders, etc.) I had sitting around were removed from the working areas to avoid being damaged. This detail of work is what this company does. I had work being performed on five large trees, of which three trees were trimmed (one involved a power line), one overgrown so much it needed to be cut way back for safety reasons and last one full tree removed. I was 100% satisfied with the professional job that was done. I appreciated the fact that I didn't even need to do any cleanup from this job. I would recommend this company, they take pride in their work and really know what they are doing. GREAT JOB GUYS---THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!

Our son had used Balsam Tree and Shrub Care for a project of theirs and were very satisfied! We had a boxelder tree with 5 adult trunks, or stems - one of which had fallen in a storm. Three of the others were weak, but still standing. They cut down the remaining three and removed all - very professionally. Our terrain is not the easiest to maneuver around, but they did it well causing little to no damage. I was very impressed, too. I would use this organization again!

After completing much due diligence, I reached out to Balsam Tree & Shrub Care specifically due to my interest in working with and supporting a family run business versus a large national organization. I scheduled an appointment with Curtis who came out to provide an estimate for trimming major dead wood, cutting limbs and pruning for an Oak and Ash, at the lake side, both around 60 to 80 feet tall. When the team arrived, both climbers, Nick and Travis, took the time to listen to my concerns and my desire for the overall look of the trees when completed. They were professional, patient and helped collaborate during the process as to their recommendations for a better outcome. Curtis was onsite helping direct and hauling away branches and organizing as soon as they hit the ground. Shortly after they begun, Chuck, the owner arrived; this was a pleasant surprise. This 68 year old man climbed like a monkey to the tallest peak of the tree. When you think you’re too old to move your body, think of Chuck – it was impressive to watch. The entire process took around 4 hours. I was outside nearly the entire time on the deck, making additional suggestions for cutting branches, to make sure my sightline had no obstructions to the other side of the lake -- we all worked together. When everyone was out of the trees they worked as a team to clean up the yard to make sure there was not a stick left on the ground. This crew was the “A” team! They are a seasoned group of tree climbers and tree experts. Tree climbing runs in the family, as Travis is Chuck’s son. I am absolutely thrilled with my new view of the lake! I had a great experience with Balsam Tree & Shrub Care and wholeheartedly endorse their services.

Look no further. Balsam Tree Care is unbeatable. I had another tree service out a couple years ago and they ripped up our yard and left without a word about it. Balsam was here exactly when they said they would arrive. They took a huge ash down and trimmed and unloaded the weight on another ash that had storm damage. Cut up the bigger pieces to 18" to fit in our fireplaces. Cleaned up perfectly. Couldn't have been happier. Travis and Nick were top notch.

Balsam Tree Care did excellent work for us. They removed a large pine tree that was interfering with an outbuilding, trimmed birch trees and cleared out brush and dead trees in A heavily wooded area behind our house. The work was well done by a personable crew always including an owner. Our back woods clearing is something that everyone who comes over is amazed and impressed by.

We needed needed three trees/stumps removed fairly quickly to accommodate our landscaper's schedule. Balsam was quite prompt in returning our calls, scheduling a visit for doing the estimate and coming back to get the work done on time. We were really pleased with the whole experience. They also did some tree pruning in addition and the results look great.

We had Balsam Tree come take down quite a few large trees in our yard. They were rotting and had the potential to fall on a few buildings in our yard. Travis did a wonderful job, was very professional and efficient. Balsam is a family owned company and the whole company did a such a great job. The cost was very affordable compared to other companies in the area. We would definitely hire them again.

I lost a huge silver maple pulled out of ground and huge branch from another silver maple in early August storm in Marine on St.Croix. Lots of other branches down and brush which we cut down and either took to Compost or piled around. Balsam tree came promptly for an estimate.
They came the next week, did a fabulous job. I came home to trees gone and brush piles gone, too. Lawn was clear. Travis called to follow-up. All ver professional. Thankful and pleased. Would highly recommend Balsam Tree Services.
