House Cleaning reviews in Minneapolis, Minnesota

I have so many positive things to say about this company. They do a thorough job and are respectful in my home. They are very good at keeping up the communication between the employees and between the company and customer. My house looks SO good after a cleaning. They are respectful and kind to my pets. They treat their employees well and me, the customer well.

They are super friendly people! Very professional, great with my pets, and I love that they use pet and child-safe cleaning products. Being an employee-owned cooperative is just icing on the cake.

I have been using Happy Earth for 4-5 months now for monthly deep cleans that I have just had a lot of trouble finding the time for myself and they have always done just such an amazing job. The house is so clean after they are done and everyone has been good sports about my dog attempting to be just the best little helper for the first 30 min they are here each time.

Happy Earth cleaners are always communicative and reliable. They show up on time and works as a team to make my house clean and tidy and smelling fresh without chemicals. It’s important to me to know that it’s an employee-owned company.

Happy Earth provides excellent professional cleaning services. Their staff are accommodating, friendly and thorough. We have used them for our own home and our rental properties.

I had such a lovely experience with happy earth! It was my first time hiring a cleaning service and I definitely want to use them again. They worked with me on making sure I got the services I wanted while being budget conscious. My house was spotless when they were finished and every employee I had interactions was delightful!

They were on time, friendly, and thorough. They brought their own supplies so I didn’t have to worry about it. There are lots of service level options and they make sure to know what you want before scheduling. I’d recommend them and I’d definitely use them again.

I've been a client for a few years now, and it's unfortunate, but they seem to be going downhill lately. They unilaterally changed my contracted services to just be half of my house without any input or agreement from me, then cancelled the very next cleaning appointment 6 minutes before it was scheduled to begin. The people working there are very nice, and I appreciate their commitment to supporting their employees and the environment, but I'm currently considering other options.

After vetting a half dozen cleaners, I decided on happy earth and I'm very glad that I did! Their sales person was delightful, kind and caring. He listened to my needs and was careful in detailing them. I was provided an estimate very soon after the appointment. The crews are thorough and very pleasant people. They leave the house with a feel-good clean. There is a rotation of 6 to 8 people who now know my house and how to clean it so things run very smoothly. Their office staff is competent, calm and detail oriented. I receive a summary of the clean after each session and an invoice emailed to me for my records. Bonus: they adore my kitties and are definitely pet lovers in general. I love that this company is community oriented and supports local shelters and food banks. Bonus: They recently became a co-op and owner-operated! Overall: I can't say enough good things about happy earth cleaners. I am delighted to have found them and I will continue to use them... happily.

Absolutely would recommend Happy Earth Cleaning! We just had our first cleaning after a very detailed consult and have been very impressed! Detail oriented, thoughtful and their use of all natural/sustainable products is amazing. They ask for feedback after each visit so they can improve their service. And they pay their employees a fair wage!! Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Happy earth cleaning has been cleaning my home every other week for about 6 months now. Each time they're here, they do a great job, everything they clean looks brand-new!
Revisiting this about 4 years later, I'm still having my home cleaned by Happy Earth, and they're still doing a fantastic job! It always feels so nice to come home after a cleaning to a clean home. -
We used Happy Earth Cleaning Coop bi-weekly for our condo's common area cleaning for two years while our regular cleaner was on medical leave. The Happy Earthers were so friendly, diligent, good cleaners, and also very involved in giving back to the community by sponsoring food and pet supply drives, which our association appreciated. They had keys and worked autonomously, which was great as I was out of state for two months this winter. I would note also that, early on, a vase on a low table was inadvertently chipped during a cleaning, and the Happy Earth workers notified us right away and offered to replace or fix it. (We declined, as the container was of no value, but they didn't know that, and their honesty built a deep level of trust.) As a community living environment, we appreciated Happy Earthers wore masks during the thick of COVID and even when our building no longer required masks. Our resident pooches enjoyed Happy Earth's attention, as well! The Happy Earth administration was very communicative, always confirming appointments and other news. Occasionally, they needed to reschedule due to holidays or staff COVID events (thank you for that consideration!), and the schedule was well communicated with seamless adjustments. We would use Happy Earth again in a heartbeat. We really enjoyed working with them and the great job they did. Thank you! Rebecca Knill, Treasurer, The Lindens Condo Association

We had Harley and Katie over for a house cleaning and the experience was incredible. From the thorough onboarding to the follow up before and after, I am extremely impressed. Will absolutely be using them again and recommend anyone in the Minneapolis or Richfield area to call Happy Earth Cleaning if you need your home cleaned on a weekly, monthly or one-off cleaning cycle.

We really appreciate Happy Earth, we have used them a few years and they’re wonderful! They usually rotate two to three people at our place. They use earth friendly materials and always give a follow up email and extremely good with feedback if I have any things that got missed. They workers get sick days which made us more comfortable during Covid and always use masks. They are an awesome company.

Happy Earth has done a great job for me. The 2 crews that have cleaned my house have both done a great job, and are very professional. They're also flexible when I need additional things done, and have let me know when they finish early so I can let them know if there's anything else I want them to do in their leftover time instead of just leaving. And obviously, the chemical-free approach is greatly appreciated - I haven't noticed any difference in quality from happy Earth's products vs cleaners that use chemicals.

I was looking for a one-time cleaning to prep for a guest staying at my place. They were very accommodating of my schedule and were able to get me in that same week. A very thorough onboarding really helped create clear expectations. I had two great folks clean my place and they were able to complete a few extra cleaning tasks while under their time window. Both were kind and communicative. Would definitely recommend!

I have been very happy with Happy Earth Cleaning. I've been using them for over a year and they always do a good job. They are always on time and I appreciate that they use two people when cleaning. They may not be the cheapest option in cleaning services but they do take care of their employees and are a Cooperative which I appreciate and makes me willing to pay more. I also like to participate in their food drives. I know they employ a lot of artists and I would love if they would share where I could buy their work. Thanks Happy Earth for keeping my home clean! You are awesome!

We have been using Happy Earth cleaning for over two years and have always been pleased with their service. The cleaning teams are responsive to our requests and if they have time left over they always throw in little extras like washing windows, wiping counter cabinets or sweeping the garage. These little extras are much appreciated and keep our home sparkling!

Happy Earth Cleaning day is my favorite day every month! They do excellent work and I'm so happy to be a customer. The team is prompt and professional, and they love to see my pets rather than be bothered by them. That means to much to me!

Happy Earth did an amazing job cleaning our house. They were very organized and considerate, particularly since my wife and I were both work-from-home while they were cleaning.

This is the first bad review I have written EVER.
The first step to scheduling a cleaning service with them was to have someone come out, look at your space, so they can give you a proper estimate. This part of my experience went well.
I proceeded after we got an estimate and breakdown of the services we wanted.
We own a duplex and one of our tenants moved out, so we wanted a good deep clean for the next tenant. We scheduled our service for a Friday morning, with our new tenant moving in that afternoon.
The first bad sign was I left instructions for the cleaners to call when they arrived at our property so I can let them into the unit. The two cleaners didn’t call, and I saw them roaming around the side of the house. I went out and showed them where they needed to be.
I left them to it, ran some errands and went to the gym.
When I got back they had left. What they had left was completely and utterly astonishing to me.
The floors: they were poorly swept, there will still a fair amount of granules that needed vacuuming. They didn’t mop. There were a couple small piles of cat vomit that was left.
Kitchen: This was a nightmare. The fridge was wiped down quickly, it was not done thoroughly. They skipped the freezer all together. See photos. The sink needed to be scrubbed. Exterior cupboards needed to be cleaned. It was a disaster.
Bathroom: The shower was lightly wiped down. Not scrubbed or anything.
Ledges: The stairwell ledges were not cleaned at all, layered thick with dust.
After inspecting this, I had about 30 minutes to clean the place before my new tenant was set to move in. Unfortunately 30 minutes was not enough time. So myself and my mother-in-law who was in town visiting cleaned for 2 hours while the new tenant moved in. This was so unprofessional and so embarrassing.
We scrubbed the shower, we took apart the fridge and cleaned it the way it was supposed to be cleaned, vacuumed, mopped, dusted, the whole 9 yards. My poor mother-in-law who has respiratory issues, and is all around fragile having just beat breast cancer ended up getting really sick after this.
I’m not usually a complainer about goods or services, but for the first time ever I felt like this was unacceptable. So that afternoon I made the very uncomfortable call to them to voice what had happened.
The guy explained to me that we got what we paid for as they underestimated the job, and offered to take of $30 dollars of a $220 dollar bill. WOW. I thought that was kind of a slap in the face, but I didn’t argue because it’s not in my nature to do this. He admitted they made a mistake, and made me pay for their poor work. What made me even more frustrated is that when I called, he didn’t need to look up my file, he was expecting my call and knew who I was from just my first name.
Here’s what a good business should have done. When the cleaners arrived and realized that the time estimated wasn’t enough to get the job done they should have called their managers immediately. The managers should have then called me and explained the situation and offered a solution to the problem. It may not have been ideal but communication is better than complete silence. Instead they did a piss poor job and hoped that it would slide under the radar. Another thing a good business does, as my husband and I own a business, is when you make a mistake you eat the cost. We should not have had to pay a dime for that service. If they took full accountability and waived the cost, this review would not be sitting here.
I urge anyone who reads this to not take their chances.
