House Cleaning reviews in Minneapolis, Minnesota

For a deep cleaning prior to move-in, we had a terrific crew who did GREAT work! Would hire again!
-
First clean today, wonderful experience! Thorough and thoughtful. Thanks y’all!

I reached to them for an estimate. It look two to three days to respond. After they did respond they advised that it would take them even two months to setup an appointment to come give me an estimate. I recognize that they have the right to manage their business in the way they best see fit, but waiting two months to even get an appointment is poor service.

Cleaners are amazing! Detailed work and very Covid safe company. Flexible cleaning times. We do a two hour clean every two weeks.

We had a great experience with Team Two Betty's for many years. Highly recommend!

Jen & Riley did my first clean today. They were wonderful! Attached is the exchange I just had with my spouse, and I think it says it all.

I’ve been a client here for a few years and can’t say enough good things about Two Betty’s. They do outstanding cleanings, provide great customer service and the company’s values match my own.
-
On the whole, the quality of Two Bettys cleaning is subpar--it's been disheartening. I had expected far better quality at premium pricing service (about $40/hour with tax).
Pros:
- The cleaners and support staff are friendly people with excellent communication skills
Cons:
- On the whole, it seems like the cleaning model is to check things off the list, but not to ensure that they are thoroughly clean. I'll share a few examples:
1. Some mold started growing in a shower. I assumed it would be addressed. It wasn't, at all, for weeks. I sent my cleaner a note about it and he took care of it. But is it okay for a shower to still contain mold when you're done cleaning it? Over multiple weeks?
2. A similar story for the kitchen sink: There was mold in the corners of a stainless steel sink for weeks--this seems like quite a simple issue to resolve. I also sent my cleaner a note about this, but, again, I find it odd that I needed to ask him to take care of the mold.
3. Toilets routinely had pink stains at the rim of the bowl--that section simply wasn't cleaned.
4. After a cleaning, a bathtub was dirty with pink stains and crusted dirt. I think the tubs get a quick wipedown, but not an actual cleaning.
It's great to support a local business, and they are super-nice people. But the quality is poor. -
We've loved having Two Bettys keep our office clean and tidy. They've been outstanding and I'd highly recommend them to other local businesses looking for a cleaner.

I love my cleaners from Two Betties! When they leave, my house sparkles and shines. I’ve been a long-time customer and it’s always a pleasure whether I’m working with the office or with my cleaners!
Kudos… -
Love Two Bettys -- excellent communication, very reliable scheduling with subs as needed, and very thorough cleaning. Not to mention the mission --green cleaning, livable wages and PTO for staff.

Went from 1 to 2 stars as I eventually got a partial credit on the bill. Agreed to a 4-6 hour "deep clean" on a mostly empty house. They assigned 3 cleaners that were there for 2 hours, missed many spots (ie: cleaned kitchen sink, but not the counter or wall behind, didn't wipe down kitchen island, etc). Didn't get to some areas entirely. Poor value overall, and while customer service was understanding & nice - I had to reach out multiple times for my concerns to actually be addressed.

We’ve been very happy so far after 3 cleans or so with our new recruit from two Betty’s- very thorough and thoughtful. We had a hiccup or two at the start to get a regular person assigned but the communication and temporary folks who cleaned were on top of it. It’s important to get what you pay for and the price/value is very fair based on 3 previous companies we’ve used over the last 15 years. Give them a go!

I hired Two Bettys for a deep cleaning of my condo. The price VS value/quality was amazing and my condo looked good enough to be on a reality TV show. Super happy all around.

We reached out to Two Bettys in the beginning of 2022, and got off their waitlist and into a regular cleaning routine in March 2022. We love supporting a local business that treats employees and customers in line with our values, and we've been impressed with the quality of work that cleaners have done. What prompted me to leave a review today was how Two Bettys responded to a mistake on their end. Thanksgiving holiday caused some scheduling changes, and we had a substitute cleaner today. Because Two Bettys management didn't communicate well with the substitute cleaner ahead of time, they sent someone with a dog phobia to our dog-having household. We scrambled to stash the dog at a family member's house for the morning, and sent a quick email to Two Bettys client services to let them know what the situation was, and how it left us feeling surprised, upset, and frustrated. Within a few hours we received a response that Two Bettys management made the mistake of not communicating pet preferences ahead of time, won't charge us for today's clean (to compensate us for our time finding a solve), will pay the substitute cleaner, has put a note in our file not to send anyone who isn't 100% cool with dogs in the future, and is reaching out to the sub cleaner to see if there's anything more they need. This is a pitch-perfect response to me that leaves me feeling heard, valued, and confident that they're doing what they need to do to prevent similar mistakes from happening in the future. If you also want a cleaning company that gets your house cleaned, treats cleaners and customers well, and is accountable to mistakes -- look no further.

I've been using Two Bettys for about 3 months now and always appreciate their promptness, attention to detail, and friendliness. Correspndance with the office team is always quick and helpful, and the cleaners we've had have always been on time and reliable.
-
I highly recommend Two Bettys. We've used them for many years now, and they are reliable, affordable, thorough and nothing but professional. They are the standard bearer for excellence when it comes to cleaning services.

I used Two Betty's to clean my home for 6 months and while they are an ethical and reputable company I unfortunately cannot recommend their services. In my experience, everyone I spoke and worked with at the company was very kind and helpful - which is great! However, the cleaning service was just not satisfactory. I did raise concerns after a few cleans with the customer service team, who was very responsive. They brought out a cleaning aid to help the regularly scheduled cleaner for the next clean, which did help for that clean however the standard dropped back down once the aid was not there. I ended up canceling the service after the required 6 cleans, and am bummed to have to do so as I love what the company stands for and that they provide their cleaners fair and living wages! However, I just felt that I wasn't getting what I paid for when my floors consistently went unmopped and my sinks were still dirty after the clean ended. I am posting this as I personally read google reviews and would want to read honest reviews - and also acknowledge that my experience seems to have differed from others.

We loveTwo Betty’s! It’s a treat to get our house cleaned and to know that it’s being done using methods that are safe for us and our planet, by people who are valued and cared for by their company, is so important. 2Bs is a great company that does great work. High recommend!

I've been using their cleaning services once a month for the past few years and I always appreciate coming home to a clean space. I like that the company is local and have good policies for their employees. They have done much to improve their communication with clients in the years I've been with them.

Scam is likely too strong of a word, but y'all can be the judge.
Sought them out because they have a great mission, it's a local business, et al. Signed up for a monthly standard clean and the contract requires six months minimum. First cleaning went well — not perfect, but well. Then unfortunately, they needed to switch cleaners as well as timing. The second cleaning left quite a bit to be desired. We even gave our cleaner direction to focus on only part of our home (kitchens + bathrooms), and there were still plenty of things half-done or not done at all. Having read online that they do really well with feedback, we provided feedback but there was confusion on what was actually included in the standard clean. In fact, it took about two weeks for Two Betty's to send a confirmed checklist on what is included in the "Standard Clean" (maybe not so standard?). Turns out that what is listed on their website does not line up with the document they sent. Namely, their website includes the following that the document they sent does not...
- Baseboards
- Windows
- Dishwasher
- Cabinets + Drawers in Kitchen
- Walls in Kitchen
I didn't do a thorough comparison as the above is only comparing kitchens, but that's pretty drastic.
Anyway, the third cleaning showed some improvement but still wasn't checking off every box of either checklist. But then, any hope for continuous improvement was dashed when they switched cleaners on us again.
So my entire experience with Two Betty's has felt like a bait and switch between the cleaners changing three times in four cleanings and lack of clarity around what is actually part of the Standard Clean (again — their website is not accurate!). Annnnd we can't get out of the contract.
I do want to shout out the cleaners themselves. They are the reason for two stars instead of one as they are friendly and I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt as they simply may not have an understanding on what is expected of them. If it took two weeks to drum up a detailed explanation of what the Standard Clean is and it doesn't match up with the website, it doesn't seem as though Two Betty's even knows what they offer.
