James was my technician today - I first got a text letting me know he was on his way. When he arrived, he was able to diagnose the problem and fix it on the spot. He also recommended several suggestions to ensure we don't run into the same problem again. James has followed up several times after the visit to make sure our AC unit was running smoothly. Kudos to James for his quick thinking and can do attitude.

The pricing is deceiving, I was charged $100 at the time of booking the appointment for the service call. Then another $100 by the technician after the service call which took about half an hour - no repairs or parts were needed, and no tune-up was performed. After calling the office to figure it out the technician still couldn't explain what I had initially paid for but insisted I owed him the additional $100. On the initial charge I somehow paid 13% sales tax, on the other one 0%. There is nowhere in MN that has 13% sales tax. They are either very disorganized or intentionally deceiving with pricing.

Returned home from a trip overseas to an AC that had quit while we were away. Daniel was sent to my house and he arrived within the estimated time frame and quickly diagnosed the issue with the exterior unit. I will be requesting him from AVS Heating and Cooling from now on and am very pleased with my experience with the technician and the company!

The service was great and they were very quick on getting out to us. We lost our AC Friday night. Saturday morning we called and set something for later the same day. First, the company sent a picture, bio and review of the technician. The tech arrived on time and used safety precautions such as keeping his distance and wearing a mask. He fully assessed the problem, advised us of all possibilities and costs, and proceeded to correct the mistakes of other providers as well as successfully repair our AC unit. Thanks for the good work!!

We just recently got a new furnace and AC put into our house. All I can say is that I am extremely pleased with everything! The technician did a fantastic job explaining everything to us in great detail before installing anything. He was very thorough with everything. The air quality and air flow through our house is much better. The technicians were very friendly and did an awesome job! Very satisfied customers!!!!

The service with our new air conditioner added to our town home was great. Good communications throughout the entire process, including a difficult time with our house on gaining our approval. AVS Heating and Cooling was great to work with, would hire them again.

I have been a customer of AVS Heating and Cooling and have always had a service contract. Not only have they responded promptly to my needs, but I've always had a service tech who knows my system, my house, and is trusted by my family. Yes, these techs change every so often, but they become a part of my family and take care of us.

Called because of two issues: no heating upstairs and a smell of gas or exhaust. I made it clear the later issue was more important. They sold me a contract as a promotional item. They said it would cover their service fee (cost to come to my home) which it did. The 1st appointment was missed because a technician got into a car accident. When the technician arrived they had little to no tools or equipment (personal vehicle). They bleed the radiators which improved the heating upstairs but didn't resolve it (some still produce no heat). I was given a quote for a vent damper (2x part price) to resolve the other issue which another company said wouldn't fix it it. I did it myself anyway. Didn't fix it. I called this company multiple times just to get someone out not even asking for compensation. My calls would be "escalated" but never returned. Some of my calls made it past the answering service. Eventually feed up with everyone I bought a gas sniffer and found my pilot light tubing needed to be tightened.

If money is no object and you enjoy being SWINDLED out of it - give AVS Heating and Cooling a call! We were selling our home & moving. We had our furnace condensate pump start acting up the week of our closing. We couldn’t replace it ourselves because we needed to provide documentation of the diagnosis and receipt of payment when we went to our closing. We called AVS because we love supporting local, family-owned businesses - MOVE ALONG PEOPLE …we emplore you! The exact condensate pump that AVS put in our home currently retails for $74.98 (at a Big Box store). AVS charged us $947.64 for the exact same pump - NOT the labor, just the pump! The labor was a separate line item! Our final bill totaled over $1400+ (we had a substantial same day service charge-which we specifically knew would be spendy, and accepted because we needed it done asap for closing). We were SWINDLED and no one will call us back to discuss any charges (go figure - one wonders why?)! We certainly will NEVER recommend this business, but hope someone taking the time to read reviews would minimally question ANY charges if choosing to work with them - YIKES!

Our AC stopped working and we didn’t expect anyone to be available same day. Even though Jones had other jobs pending he made time for us to stop by and look at our AC. He was very professional and explained everything in detail in regards to the issues we were having as well as made some very good, no pressure recommendations for the future. We will definitely use him again for all of our AC/Heating needs!

My experience with AVS Heating and Cooling was a 5 star plus! They came the same day I called, found out what the issue was in a timely manner, and fixed it at a reasonable price. My family and I are more than satisfied with their service because they helped us out when we needed it the most. I strongly recommend them as your primary HVAC specialists!

The service provided by Minneapolis Heating and Cooling was outstanding! Their technician was amiable, productive, and on time. He didn't advocate for unnecessary fixes and gave a logical explanation of everything. My air conditioner now operates flawlessly, and the cost was reasonable. Without a doubt, I'll use Minneapolis Heating and Cooling once more. Overall, excellent experience!

Purchased a Rupp unit that had multiple components cut out of it. Between missing components and rude, incompetent staff made this process completely sickening. I can’t believe that I had to pay twice for the same thing.

Do yourself a favor and do the proper research on the product and who their rep is and choose company with a more reliable support staff and rep.

No sure why I have yet to leave a review. We've purchased dozens of upblast ventilators from Walter's and always recived the best service possible. They anticipate our needs by stocking what we purchase without even asking. Kudo's to Perry and the sales team for all of their help over the years.

I always stop here for Modine parts, but found out they are reps for a lot of other brands. Re-verber-ray infrared heaters, Raypak boilers, Rupp MUA’s, Sterlco steam products, and Armstrong hydronics. Also Apple and Google maps bring you to Nevada Ave, which doesn’t reach the building at all. Head north off Medicine Lake Rd to Louisiana Ave and look for the building signage on left.
