Rod came out to check a backed up sink drain that I had previously tried to clear with a drill snake from Menards. He was able to determine that it was clean, but just had a sit a while with water to unplug the clog, and explained it was like a slow slug. He also put some silicon on a pipe that had a slight leak out of site in the wall. Since he didn't use his drain equip, he just gave me a trip charge, which was less than 50% of a cleaning. He was very patient in answering any questions that I had about my plumbing.

We hired Rod to do a sewer inspection and cleaning. He was extremely helpful, personable and responsive. I would highly recommend him and will definitely hire him again.

Rod was my second opinion after another bigger company came in and got stuck cleaning out my main sewer line. That company said they’d need to come back another day with a bigger machine and another man to operate at a cost of $1900+ and warned of the dire state of my sewer, talking problems costing tens of thousands of dollars to repair or even having to rebuild.
Rod came and had it clean (with a clean bill of health) in 2 hours for $350. Couldn’t be happier! The Sewer guy has a customer for life!

I called Rod (the Sewer Dude) on a Friday afternoon to clean out my floor drain. I was thinking I would have to book the job out a week as this was not an emergency. He was at my house 3 hours later! The job was completed in an hour. He even took the time to talk to me about drain maintenance and strategies to prevent clogs in the future. Would chose him again and again! We just bought our first house and within days our toilet was clogged. There ended up being a piece of tile (!!!!!!!!!!!) stuck in our pipe from recent construction.

The Sewerdude is awesome. Rod came by promptly, and on short notice, and pointed out that my problem wasn't much more than a super clogged main drain. The cost for his service was very reasonable. He's my go-to guy from here on out folks!

As you can imagine it is very stressful to have your sewer back up within your home. I had another company come out, One Hour Sewer, to fix the issue and before they even showed up started talking to me about charging $1500 for a Hydro blast and $8000 to put in a liner in the pipe going out to the road. When the tech from one hour showed up he worked on the drain for about 30 minutes and said he couldn’t get it because he ran into something about 75 feet out to the road. He said that he wanted to come back on Monday morning and he started talking More about the $1500 Hydro blast and the $6900 liner.

I was referred to Rod by a friend. I called him on a Sunday night and he answered his phone and was here at 7:30 Monday morning. Within 30 minutes he had my drain unclogged and then put a camera down to verify that everything was OK which it was. I can’t recommend him enough especially in an industry where unfortunately people will try to take advantage.

Hired Rod to do a sewer cleaning at buyers request. He notified me of an obstruction that wouldn’t allow his snake to work its way through the pipe caused by a broken clean out plug which seemed to have happen during inspection. He referred me to another company to perform a hydro jetting cleaning but unfortunately the rate was extremely high, but luckily we are in the middle of getting this resolved without added fees as said inspection company ended up footing the bill (so admission to charges without admission). Rod only charged a nominal fee for the time spent and also provided video proof. Thanks Rod.

Rod said he’d arrive within a window of time. He did, complete with a courtesy call 20 minutes a head of time.

I explained the problem, he diagnosed the issue in minutes, and showed me exactly what the problem was. Within an hour he had tools in the house, problem fixed, and cleaned up.

He could have charged far more, but the price was incredibly reasonable. Bonus, we had a quick and interesting conversation about Minnesota history, that left this transplant far more knowledgeable than before he arrived.

I can’t possibly recommend The Sewer Dude enough to anyone experiencing plumbing issues.

Rod did a great job on my main line clean out. He was friendly and knowledgeable. And very respectful of my house- I have carpet where my clean out is, and he was very careful to tarp everything to keep the carpet clean. And his mainline service is about half the price of some of the larger companies. Highly recommend.
