I've been using Rainbow the last few years for lawn fertilizer and weed control. My yard has never looked this good! Thank you Jake for taking the time to ask me about the trouble spots I wanted to make sure to cover.

Beware of this company's results when it comes to lawn care and customer service. As a longtime, loyal customer I had always been satisfied, but to my dismay this summer they hired a temporary technician/intern who managed to kill large swaths of my yard with misapplied weed killer/fertilizer. Worse, when I complained I got promises but no results. In fact, I was told the tech/intern had gone "back to school" and for that reason the company could not follow-up with her to find out what had happened! Yikes. I had no recourse except to cancel my entire service, including my tree care after more than two decades with Rainbow. Adding insult to injury: the company is still sending me emails asking for payment. Mistakes happen: I get it. But lousy customer service on top of an egregious mistake makes it tough to be a customer in these competitive times. Sad. (For the record, I still think the tree-care side of the company is tops. But I simply cannot financially support a company that does not value loyal or long-time customers.)

I'm a homeowner. I have a typical yard (9,000 sf). I've been using Rainbow Lawncare for several years to fertilize my lawn and keep it free from weeds. My results are fantastic. The grass is thick and a nice green color. My tightening budget has caused me to reduce my number of treatments to 3 a season. But, 3 does the trick. Jeff, the last tech to visit, came to my door to announce his arrival and check with me personally to see if I had questions or requests. I did have one specific issue and he handled it expertly. Good work, Jeff, I appreciate you.

I admire Rainbow employees. Please tip them! They do good work. I missed the tip section, Sorry! I wish they would wear protective clothing and breathing protection always. Many of MN farmers get cancer linked to weed control ( One die in my family). I still have crab grass weeds on edges in Sun. Difficult to control.

It was SO convenient to have Jake come take care of our yard. I didn't even have to be there which was amazing as my schedule is very busy. I forgot to have our yard picked up and I felt SO bad but he picked up our toys and yard stuff. Thank you, Jake!!

I’ve been working with Rainbow for years as I’ve tried to grow a lawn in a very shady yard. We did the hydro-seeding two years ago and thinned some trees (using Rainbow Treecare) and the lawn is exactly what I wanted - a place for the grandkids to play without worrying about them being muddy.
The on-going maintenance of the yard is working very well. Today Jordan was in and out and answered a couple of questions I had about weeds growing into my yard from the neighbors.

Service as ordered. Used a machine to make holes in my turf. The second machine was to plant grass seed was not working so that service was completed later that day or the next day. I covered the grass and watered and it is growing. I wish the technician would contact me before the visit. I always have questions or instructions. The work was good.

He arrived and checked in with me and talked about the job after calling in advance that he was on his way, something that i very much appreciated. He was very professional in his communications.
I can't comment on the results of his work yet as it will take time to view the results, so I put a 4 star rating that can move up or down depending on the results.
One thing that I did not like was the office providing me a 3 day window of when to expect the service visit (as i wanted to be present for the first visit). I understand weather greatly impacts the schedule and that is not controllable, but it would have been nice to receive more info so I could plan my days out.

Rainbow installed sod in my back yard today. Showed up on time and did a fantastic job. Rain was moving in so 3 crews should up last minute to get it done fast. Highly recommend.

I was extremely happy with his professionalism and customer service focus. They were here to work on some areas where hydroseeding did not take as it did for most of the lawn. The two of them were very thorough, preparing the soil and then reseeding.

Derek and his compadre were great! Friendly, competent, knowledgeable and quite capable. I feel they did a great job!

Had Mike treat my lawn with fertilizer, weed control, and grub control. He always does a good job and keeps everything looking nice. He always makes sure to close my gates when done and is very knowledgeable about yard treatments. I would recommend rainbow to anyone needing lawn services.

I worked with Ryan to overview our 1 year hydroseeded lawn that had poor growth and was being over taken by weeds. As part of their lawn service program, I had obtained a bid to silt seed the entire lawn in September. This past summer our lawn really filled in and its growth was much better. I had Ryan come back to our property in early September and we walked over the lawn and decided that slit seeding was only needed in 3 small barer areas. The following week Tom came out to our property and completed the silt seeding. Ryan and Tom were both very professional, listened to us, thoroughly explained their service programs and process. Overall we have been very happy with the lawn care service program with Rainbow Lawncare.

I have had rainbow lawn care for 3 years for lawn care treatment. Has been great until recent when deep ruts were left in my back yard during last two treatments. They came out and repaired for first time this summer ....and then this occur with recent last treatment. I asked to speaker to someone but was told by the answering person that the said ' just rake the grass' and they were not going to return my call. They said they could offer to send a supervisor out to look and this was scheduled for today. After waiting 45 past due the appointment. No one showed and I called and they said 'it was waiting to be confirmed ' and that they attempted to call me ....but this was set up and no calls were received from my call log. I put my service on hold until someone gets in touch with me to review the deep ruts left ... Will likely move on as I doubt anyone will respond based on recent past. Used to good. Disappointed with recent issues.
