Yeahhh . Don't live here. Price is good but it's not worth the hassle of having to beg to get anything fixed . Had a roach issue that was solved somewhat quickly but was never fully treated due to it being in other residences as well .

Only making this review because they said leave a 5 star review and enter a chance to win a TV. (Kinda funny the need to bribe people into 5 start ratings )

In conclusion. Don't rent here.

I lived at a first select property in the twin cities and I’ve never had a worse experience with a rental management company. We had so many issues with the property itself, including loss of heat in winter, basement flooded with sewage multiple times, broken oven, water damage (never repaired), and infestation. It would take weeks, sometimes MONTHS for a response to address these problems, despite submitting maintenance requests promptly and multiple times. You can not get a hold of your property manager, and it was not clear who our property manager even was for the majority of our time there. Moriah and Max ignored calls, texts, and emails from us and we never met nor had any communication. Do NOT rent from these people.

My roommate has been trying to get her security deposit for the longest time. And according to them it’s not ready yet. We moved out 10/31. They also charged us for maintenance calls that were basic fixes. Said we would get our money back via email
And never received it. The customer service is below poor.

This apartment building is always clean, in a quiet location, and super friendly management! I love the pool and the small park located on property super convenient. The school district is also a really huge plus and there are many walking areas.

Terrible company does not upkeep their property does barely or minimum work to your unit even if you decide to live there for 10 years you'll be looking at the same thing, property managers continuously change and it communication between team peer members is terrible

STAY SWAY FROM THIS MANAGEMENT COMPANY. The very first day of my lease my sink started leaking and water came from under the dish washer. They shut off my water and tagged out my sink. It took them 3 days to get a plumber out. The leak caused mold under my sink and they tried to cover it up. I had to leave my unit until these were finished and I filed a renters insurance claim. They lied to renters insurance and told them I refused to let anyone inside the unit when I was there with the plumber. I had to contact the city inspections because it was taking them forever to replace the boards under my sink. They lied to the city as well and told them I refused to let anyone inside. I was told my bottom sink would finished TODAY 2/11/25 and what I came home to was my animal let out of his cage and of course urinated and pooped over the floor. I would like to note that I just bring my animal to the unit yesterday 2/10/25. I made sure he was secured in his cage because I knew maintenance was coming. I even confirmed with my landlord that the maintenance was inside my unit this morning. And they still haven't fixed the boards. Stay away from this shady management company they are bad people.

I’ve been very happy w/ all of the assistance provided by Jennifer. She held my hand through the application process and has helped facilitate maintenance issues. For the most part, the grounds are kept quite clean and we feel quite safe, as well.

I've lived at an apartment for almost 4 years now, managed by 1st Select Property Management. Overall my family and I have had a good experience communicating with Michelle and maintenance staff. Whenever we have had an issue we have had it solved right away.

I've lived here at Oak Grove Apartments for 11 years and I love it. The pool is amazing in summer. Maintenance is prompt. Management is phenomenal. There's little to no rif raf here because the management sees and gets that out of here. I appreciate this so much as a tenet, and a tenet with kids. Schools are great too. And close to stores and highway. Great pick for me and my family:)

I am a new resident here and it has been nothing but wonderful! My first own place by myself and the manager here has made everything such a smooth process. It is well kept and the pool is such a plus!! I highly recommend Oak Grove Apartments to anyone looking for a new home!

I find it incredible this company has such positive reviews after living at The Drover for 3 years I have nothing good to say about the way they (mis)manage that property. Just search the property and read the reviews for yourself if you’re curious. If I could give zero stars, I would. Unfortunately, I have to give them at least one.

I've happily lived at Silver View Villa apartments in New Brighton for almost 3 years. Amazing place, kind and great staff that make living here hassle free. Michelle the property manager and Tom the onsite maintenance man are the best! 5 stars

I have been a long-term tenant (ten plus years) at the Lucia Lane location and have had positive experiences with management and staff over the years. This location has three security access non-smoking buildings, and is located in a quiet residential area. The buildings are well-maintained and clean - including the laundry rooms (washers and dryers). The grounds are well-kept with mature trees and grilling areas available for use by tenants. The outdoor pool is maintained and operational in the warm months. There is a fenced play area for children. Parking is provided in an off-street lot for tenants and guests. In the winter months the sidewalks and parking lot are cleared in a timely manner. Repair and maintenance items that I've reported over the years have all been handled and addressed promptly. The maintenance and cleaning staff - including the property manager for this location - are all employees that have been with the company for many years and they are friendly and responsive to requests. I continue to be happy to live here, and based on my experiences over the years, I would recommend this location that is managed by 1st Select Property Management.

My experience with 1st Select Property Management has been great. I've lived in several different apartments all with different management companies. I've lived at the Lucia lane apartments in Fridley for almost 4 years now and have been overall happy with my communication with 1st Select Property Management. Michelle has been very helpful and very fast at responding to be when I've reached out to her. The maintenance staff are all great people and whenever I've had an issue they are able to come next day. Whenever there has been an issue it's resolved in a timely matter. I've never had such a quick response from management or maintenance before. Highly recommend looking into apartments with this management company and I do recommend Lucia lane apartments too. The location has been very good for me and my family. Everyone is pretty friendly or keeps to themselves.

First Select is by far the best management service ever in our 25 years of office building ownership. Rozeanna Berg and her team rescued damaged tenant relationships, found building issues which were insurance reimbursable, filled our vacancies, and have been on top of every concern we had. They are considerate, flexible, trustworthy, and respond quickly to inquiries. Our income has improved and our stress levels plunged. I cannot say enough good about them. We feel very lucky to have this management team and absolutely recommend them.

DO NOT MOVE TO COUNTRY SIDE APARTMENTS. FIRST SELECT IS THE WORST MANAGEMENT EVER!

This property company is so unprofessional. Constantly trying to over charge tenants in the portal for fees that doesn't apply, this has happened aleast five times. One of the times i had only been staying in my unit one month and said I had owed 2 thousand dollars. The next time they tried to over charge me a thousand dollars but I had my receipts. Put an eviction notice on my door. Never want to do repairs in a timely manner or just do not want do them. Barely cleans the building. Locks are always broken. During the winter barely shoveled the snow. This company is a slum lord. Would never refer anyone to rent from them. All they want is to collect money and never wants to do there part as a landlord. They have in their lease if you loose your keys they won't let you in useless you have the money right then and there. This is a awful place to stay. You do not control your own heat. Heat barely worked in the winter had to call the city to get them to check it.

Management has shown incredible support during my challenging time. I lost my job but have been diligently working to pay down my rent balance since starting a new position. Their prompt response to my maintenance request and swift resolution of the heat issue truly exemplify their commitment. Living here has been a true blessing. Thank you, First Select Property Management, for this valuable partnership.

I was a resident At First Select Apartment at 4927 University Ave. NE.. I was not really happy living there. Maintenance were not reliable When We Needed Help Managers were not being reliable either they never cleaned our apartments inside. also, inside there was mice through the winter there were beetles and ants through summer and spring And Every Summer When It Was Very Hot Power Always Went Out For Hours With No Help And The outside of our apartment was always looking trashy all I gotta say is if there’s anyone that’s is going to move in there or thinking about moving there I suggest you should not you guys deserve something way Better trust me.And I Now People Don’t Like Being Treated Bad By Other People That Live There Because It Happened To Me And I Reported It All The Time And they Ignored Me So I think that This Apartment Needs A Lot Of Work And If They Can’t Figure It Out This Apartment So Be Condemned With Now Hesitation Trust me I Hope I Can Help You All By Me Saying The True About the apartment and I hope it help u out Have A Blessed Day 🫶💯

I had an extremely negative experience renting from 1st select. I was at the Kaposia Valley Apartments. At this apartment there was constantly litter in the hallways, in the parking lot and on the front lawn. People smoke weed and cigarettes inside the building all the time. Cigarette butts left in the hallways. The police show up at this building very often due to fights that break out in the parking lot in the evening. During these fights I’d always be worried that someone was going to damage my car. There isn’t a building manager to reach out to - communication from the property management is horrible. No secure entry, people jam rocks in the doorways so random people can get into the building at all hours. Cars pull up to the front door all through the night, dropping off / picking up…

I wish 1st select had addressed these issues at the Kaposia Valley Apartments while I lived there. In my experience they were extremely impersonal and nearly impossible to get in contact with. As a resident I felt they did not value myself, or any of their residents in this apartment complex based on their neglect of this property.

This is the worst management ive experienced , They demanded a deposit in order for me to get a tour and " secure" the unit . I Payed 500 to "secure" it and never got a tour UNTIL MOVE IN DATE because they never reached out to me with available dates. I Finally had a tour and it was horrible , the unit wasnt even ready , they where still installing the floor boards and it was disgusting and full of mold,pet hair and the fridge had old food stains, toilet had a black ring in water and pee all over the seat. The maintanance guy is careless and unprofessional . They where gonna send a "professional" to clean it but never did . So unit wasnt even ready even after move in date so i requested a refund for my deposit and first months rent that i payed and wasnt even living there yet. ITS BEEN 2 MONTHS AND I HAVENT RECEIVED ANYTHING BACK .
