Extremely disappointing service. Following around $6-7000 in fees for tree removal and Emerald Ash treatment, the Davey crew damaged the soffits and siding on the side of our house. They also left a 10 foot divot in the woods behind my house where my children play and didn't clean up the wood pile I paid extra for them to remove. After a confrontation they finally cleaned up the wood they left behind.

I tried to reason with them and they offered no apology or compensation for the additional damage.

In addition, the Emerald Ash treatment was applied to clearly infected trees with a promise of saving them. However, after treatment the trees actually looked worse. I asked Davey about this and they stated there was no guarantee the treatment would treat the infection. This was a deceptive sales practice.

I tell this story to anyone looking for tree service.

The kicker is that I probably have another $5-10,000 of additional tree work needing to be done on my property. With a minimum of professionalism and courtesy this could have been their business, but now I am happy to support their competitors.

Tree was on our roof house just recently after wind... I connected with Davey Tree by the phone and like a magik, Thomas found time from his family and show up at the property in about 3 hours.
He organized crew for the next day. Emergency situation when tree is on the roof was resolved professionaly avoiding other damages to the structure. Perfect job!!!

Jared and the entire Davey Tree team were fantastic to work with. They treated my tree and saved it from the Emerald Ash Borer, and they were honest, thorough, and straightforward throughout the process. They told me most of my trees were in good shape and never tried to oversell anything. It was clear they had the best interest of my home and property in mind from start to finish. I highly recommend them!

James, Jared, and the whole Davey Tree team did such a wonderful job with our trees. They were very detailed in their reports and descriptions and helped answer all of our questions. They did such a great job with cabling our split maple and helping us make future decisions about other trees on our property. I highly recommend them for any tree needs you have.

We were very pleased with the service provided by Davey Tree. We made an appointment with Thomas to access the health of our trees, all planted by the home developers. Some were planted correctly but others were planted too deep or incorrectly causing the roots to eventually choke the tree. Josh & Cody corrected the damage by evacuating the root crown, pruning and fertilizing. We appreciated the thorough & individual attention we received from everyone at Davey Tree and will continue to use their service.

One point on finishing up was they did not arrange the deck furniture and bird bath and feeder that were in the trimming fall zone. Nitpicky, I know.
Overall, a tremendous crew!!!

We had a large oak tree (approx. 60 feet tall) fall on the roof of our house on a Monday evening. By Tuesday noon, Thomas J. was at our house and promised to have me a proposal and a timeline of prospective work before he left our house. We were very concerned of worsening damage if it wasn't taken care of soon (at the time, the entire tree was being held up, somewhat precariously, by our masonry chimney).

Thomas had a crane, the City, street sign work, and everything else lined up before he left our house that afternoon. Work took place that following Thursday, with a huge crew and 200-ton crane onsite by just after 8 am. Their work was amazingly professional. You could tell that all of the crew was well-trained and cared about their job.

I could not be more impressed with Davey. Also, due to their expert work, we have not noticed even a single shingle damaged on our roof from the tree fall or the removal work.

Another job well done!
This is my second time choosing Davey Tree for difficult tree removal and for treating existing trees,
and I was not disappointed.
Dean listened to my concerns, and the skilled and courteous crew carried them out to the letter, including meticulous cleanup.
Dean was onsite for the final approval as well, to make sure I was satisfied.
I would definitely recommend this crew.

Davey Tree has been a pleasure to work with and Scott Fischer has been outstanding! He evaluated our trees, shrubs, lawn, and has put together a plan that will incorporate them all.

We had a few trees that needed to be removed because of storm damage. Dean came out to do an estimate. He was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. His pricing was better then all the other quotes I had received. The crew came a few weeks later and did a fantastic job! They are true professionals! Did an awesome job, safely and efficiently. You could tell that they love what they do and took the time to not disturb wildlife and the rest of our property. I highly recommend Davey.

Davey Trees has taken care of our MANY trees for years! Each representative we've dealt with over the years has been professional & friendly. We believe James in their tree division cares for our trees as much as we do! Their communication is outstanding. We highly recommend!

What started out great soon turned into an unfortunate situation. A Davey Tree Care salesperson came out to check out my oak trees early in 2026. They gave me some good assessments and care plans for a large oak tree that’s a bit distressed. I let them know I had other estimates coming in, as anyone should do when hiring a professional, so I was not making an immediate decision.

The salesperson did follow-up with me a couple of weeks later where I let him know I was going with another service and thanked him for everything. I expected that was the end of our interaction, but then things got weird and in retrospect inappropriate.

Soon after I hung up with the Davey salesperson he re-sent me his original estimate requesting that I review and accept it. I checked to see if it was sent by mistake as he gave me no explanation or warning as to why he sent it. This was in aggressive contrast to the conversation we had just had where I declined their services. He told me he did mean to send it so I could look again at what they are offering. I had to repeat that I was in fact declining service with them. Then a week later I received another follow-up email asking me again to review the work they are offering and to accept it. Which led me to this review.

It’s clear they do not want to respect my decision which is a massive bummer because I had heard good things about them and they have strong reviews. In hindsight the consistent dismissive actions were there from the start as the salesperson repeatedly talked over me during our in-person estimate.

I've worked with Davey Tree experts for a few years now and have always been happy with their work, from the assessments to the trimming. Everyone is very professional, always make sure I'm happy before they pack up, and they clean the yard thoroughly. My trees are happy too.
After extensive yard construction four years ago I was worried that my trees would be negatively affected by all the heavy equipment rolling over their roots in heavy clay. Davey did trimming and deep root fertilizing.
The apple trees were getting too tall to reach all the apples so for the last two years Davey cut them back and thinned them and recently finished off the shaping.
Last year I got some of the best apples I've every had off these 30+ year old trees - enough for me and lots of other people.
My maple tree also was in dire need of trimming. It looks so much better now.
I couldn't be happier.

Excellent job! Paul & Jim are the best. From the start they are professionals - communication prior and during the process. We had them do the carpets, rugs & furniture, They’re careful with furniture - yes, they actually moved my furniture. I had a pretty bad spot, large one from a coffee spill. We thought it was gone. Unfortunately it popped back up (not as significant) the next morning. I reached out to Paul, he came back the same day and got it out. We’ve never worked with someone that truly stands behind their work as much as them. This was our 2nd time with A-Plus and won’t be the last. Thanks Paul & Jim!

Carpets look great. Hired for carpeted stairs and hallway as we were being fit into a busy schedule. Asked him to do some "small spots" in the basement and he did the whole basement. Did not even tell me until aftere he left. Everything looks beautiful.

Great service, carpet looks excellent! Great guys, very friendly. They explained everything very clearly, we feel it is very reasonably priced. So professional, we will be definitely using them from now on!! Don't go for the deals $39 a room, just call A-Plus Carpet Cleaners and make your carpet happy!!

After calling Paul, he was able to come clean our carpets next day and accommodate our schedule after my son got sick and we needed cleaning fast. He was personable, knowledgeable, trustworthy and incredibly kind. They themselves do the work and you can tell they take pride in their work and are dedicated to maintaining a high standard of service. I'd recommend A-Plus Carpet cleaners to anyone looking for carpet cleaning, and will definitely be using them again!
