The rep/arborist came out and evaluated three trees that had some winter strom damage, and discussed our options to repair/remove the trees. Since the trees had been having issues for years, we decided to remove the trees. WIthin an hour, we had a proposal to remove the trees. I waited to get a bid from another tree service, and found Davey to be quite competitively priced. I approved the proposal, and with a few days the crew came out and did the work. The crew was very careful of our property and cleaned up all the wood chips and branches when they were done. I would highly recommend Davey Tree Service.

Davey's took down a difficult tree in my neighbor's back yard and I was impressed with their work. When an ash tree in my front yard needed trimming, I called them to do the job. From the first contact for the estimate, to the cleanup, they were professional and did a fine job and what I knew to be a reasonable price.

I would definitely hire them again.

From the time I met with Thomas Johnson to secure an estimate for the removal of two trees, I was very pleased at the professional and thoroughness of the work. I was surprised at how well the crew cleaned up after the removal and with no damage to the lawn in my back yard. Highly recommended the folks at Davey on Fernbrook in Plymouth.

I had sort of an emergency tree removal situation because I needed my main sewer line replaced and the tree next to it had to be removed first. Davey was the only company that would do it on the short timeline needed. Several other companies various sizes said they don't have emergency appointments (I kind of think they just didn't understand that my situation was a legit emergency). Davey was great to work with. The price seemed fair. My arborist was very good at communicating on scheduling etc.

Thomas Johnson went way above and beyond for me in an unfortunate situation that needed to be addressed immediately. Thomas was able to fit me in the SAME DAY, was an EXCELLENT communicator and got the job done (tree debris removed and dealing with stumps). He even offered me guidance on how to deal with an issue that was caused by another contractor (not Davey Tree) that destroyed our turf and sent me photos of the damage since I had not yet been able to assess it myself. I couldn't be happier with the way the situation was handled and how I was treated. Amazing job!!!

Can't say enough good things about Davey Tree. They were very quick to respond to our emergency, and they made a huge job seem easy. Davey did an AMAZING job removing the dead trees from my yard and trimming my massive maple tree. I didn't realize how raggedy the tree was until all of the pruning was done. Now it looks so much better and healthier! All of the limbs over my driveway and the dead branches stuck in the canopy and gone and my backyard has so much more light. They also did a great job of cleaning up. There wasn't any debris left behind and they even picked up some of the leaves in my yard!

Casey was the arborist I worked with. He did a great job of explaining what he thought needed to be done and providing a fairly priced quote for the work. I especially appreciated the itemized quote and that he let me drop some of the services I didn't need (like stump grinding).

My only complaint would be with the scheduling. I was able to get an appointment with the arborist quickly, but scheduling a time for the crew to come was disjointed. I'd emailed casey about the times and days that work best for me but I didn't hear anything back for about a week. Then one day when I got a home, the crew was already there and cleaning up! I had wanted to prep a little bit for their arrival, like cleaning up my backyard to give them better access. But obviously I couldn't do that since the time they were going to come was never communicated.

Overall I am very happy. I would recommend using Davey and I will definitely call them for any future needs.

I’ve worked in the landscaping industry and have a very high standard for the quality and professionalism I look for in any company I hire to perform services for me. The team at Davey exceeded my expectations in every way. The tree I had removed was a huge poplar, leaning over my neighbor’s house at a dangerous angle. I was able to watch the crew from beginning to end, and it was an impressive show. The folks climbing the tree, rigging it with blocks & pulleys, were in constant communication with the crew on the ground who controlled the fall of every limb and section of the tree. It was like watching a well choreographed dance. They took care to use plywood to cover the path they took with their equipment on my yard. They cleaned up everything and left the yard in fantastic condition. As it happens, they came on garbage day, and they had a number of trucks lined up in front of my house, which would have made it difficult for the garbage truck to see to pick up my garbage cans. Knowing this, they moved my cans to a position which was easy for the garbage company to see and access. After the garbage company came by, the Davey crew even moved my cans up my driveway next to my garage for me… something I certainly wasn’t expecting, but was very pleasantly surprised and appreciated. They really went above and beyond in every way. I guarantee that Davey tree has me as a customer for life.

Davey removed a very large tree that was very close to my house. It required that the tree be carefully dismantled by strapping the limbs before cutting them, and lifting out each section by crane. Their crew accomplished this feat without causing any damage to the surroundings. It was a complex operation, which they performed with the utmost precision. I would highly recommend Davey Tree Expert Company.

I HIGHGLY recommend Davey Tree! I did a lot of research and received multiple bids, and am so glad I went with them! The crew was efficient, friendly, and very thorough. They went above and beyond in picking up and putting things back, and my yard looked better when they left!

The crew did a great job. They were very efficient and left the yard looking cleaner than when they arrived. Best of all, the expert trimming/pruning work should be good for the tree, and I imagine I'll have a lot less dead wood falling down every time we get a storm/wind event. Davey Tree offered very competitive and reasonable pricing, too.

Joe came out and was very friendly and thorough at explaining what he was doing as well as his findings. I really appreciated how careful he was with the other plants around the tree, and when he left everything looked exactly like it was before he arrived. I honestly assumed that the area around the tree would be destroyed, and my plants would not survive... so I was pleasantly surprised when it all looked the same. I greatly appreciate all his hard work, and would highly recommend!

Whenever I have had questions, they are very responsive to come out and check the trees first hand. We've used several services including removing trees, treating them for EAB, pruning fruit trees, and treating for other issues.

Our experience with Davey Tree Service has been exceptional. Their pricing is very competitive; their availability to perform work on short notice is by far the best we've seen; and the crews are quick, professional, and polite. I give Davey my highest recommendation.

Neighbor contracted them for tree service. We're on a cul-de-sac. Crew shows up with a load of vehicles and equipment. Since they show up with so much equipment, they unload onto our yard. I think they call that trespassing. Large section of turf scraped off (crew shown trying to replace it). Ironically, they put down mats to protect the lawn of the neighbor.

We had Jared Young out to assess our trees at our new home in Orono. He was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough in his assessment including a very detailed written report with recommendations etc. Thank you Jared and Davey Team !

Hired Davey Tree Service to remove overhanging limbs and light trimming based on their "reputation" These idiots allowed unsupervised, untrained ,not knowledgeable, clueless "staff" to destroy the beauty of thus tree for decades. What a disgrace!

The Davey crew did an outstanding job on my two trees. One was fitted with a cable and another very large double based tree was removed.

Very hard working and polite young men who know how to get the job done safely. The company maintains the proper equipment such as the bucket truck the removal crew had here. Watching them in action was very entertaining. The job was huge and it was obvious they were well trained and experienced. They keep you informed and do a total clean up before they leave.

I use Davey to take care of my lawn and to treat several of my ash trees to prevent ash bore disease. Neighbors have lost trees to this disease and mine are doing fine.

I do feel some things are worth paying for and Davey is an excellent investment.

The two guys who were here trimming our trees did a great job! Made sure to answer my questions… Did a terrific job thinning out the trees and bushes… And a wonderful job cleaning up!

The Davey crew did an excellent job with some long needed limbing of two majestic maple trees at our Forte Real Estate managed commercial site. They were very careful to minimize turf damage and were very thorough with cleanup of the site. Very pleased.

Once again Davey Tree exceeded expectations. The amount of work completed was outstanding. The difficulty of work was extreme. Two very large trees hanging over my house and the neighbors home were successfully removed without a worry. The crew was attentive and respectful. They were very impressive!
