Constraction reviews in Shakopee, Minnesota

Gold Star was FANTASTIC to work with to have our roof re-done due to hail damage. I reached out on a friday, got an immediate response and by the following week we had shingles picked out and a date for construction. Can't recommend Gold Star enough, Jake was great to work with and took care of everything!

My Husband and I used Gold Star contracting to replace our roof. Jake and his crew did a fantastic job. Jake is fair in his pricing, materials are great quality. Jake is easy to communicate, answers all questions. Fantastic company. The best in Shakopee

I will recommend Gold Star Contracting to my family and friends for their roofing needs. They are respectful, reliable, professional and went over and beyond to make sure the job was done right. For instance, there was rain in the forecast and they did the roof section by section so the rest of the roof wasn’t compromised. They were courteous to the point that they carried my groceries to the door. The clean up was outstanding. Jake is trustworthy, efficient and dependable. He takes pride in his company and treats his employees well. I could hear joy and laughter in their voices and they seem happy. Between the competitive prices and the quality of product they definitely deserve a gold star rating. Thank you Jake

Had the best experience with Jake and his team. Extremely responsive, prompt, and professional. I wish he did it all because I would never use a different contractor ever again.

Jake and Gold Star Contracting did an amazing job on our roof. His team re-roofed our house in October 2018. From the bid to the final clean-up I could tell Jake runs a great business. I wanted to keep the project local so sought 3 bids from the South Metro. He wasn't asked to, but Jake came out the day of the call on his way to another job. He had his bid to me within 2 day. The others I contacted were what I expected, very sales oriented and frequent delays in getting their bids completed. His price was very competitive, he even stopped by to color match for us. He kept us up to date on the timing of the project. His crew did a great job both on the installation and the clean up. In retrospect it was an easy decision to go with Gold Star, I only wish I had done it sooner. Higher possible recommendation.

As newer home owners, Jake helped us through every step of our roof replacement process. Very pleased with his professionalism & knowledge! The team showed up right on time and exceeded our expectations! Would definitely recommend Gold Star Contracting to anyone needing a roof repair!

Jake was just the best to work with. He made the whole process easy. Fantastic crew completed my roof in less than a day. I recommend Gold Star Contracting!

I can't say enough about our great experience with Jake and the team at Gold Star Contracting. After we had our hail damage insurance claim denied by insurance last summer, Jake gave us an honest assessment and we decided to replace our roof and gutters this year. The price and products that Gold Star offers are competitive, and Jake's prompt and clear communication really sets them apart! I have never worked with a contractor who is more "tuned in" to doing a great job. When I had multiple questions about the project or our options leading up to our install date, Jake always emailed me back within a day and usually much quicker than that! We found Gold Star because of a friend's recommendation, and I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends or family. You won't go wrong choosing Gold Star to work on your home.

Jake and his crew from Gold Star contracting did an exceptional job replacing our roof and siding. Jake made the process painless and worked with our insurance company to resolve several outstanding issues, which was a total pain to deal with, but he did it anyways. And let's be honest... some siding companies do a really poor job with the install. Water gets in, things look sloppy and corners get cut. Gold Star did not do that. They really went the extra mile to make things look great and function properly, even if it took a little longer. I can't recommend them enough.

Throughout the project, Jake was always polite and helpful. He was knowledgeable about the product options and handled the details of our claim with the insurance company. The turnaround time from contacting Jake to scheduling and completion of the work was promptly done. And Jake\’s crew was both friendly and did quality work. We love our new roof and would highly recommend Gold Star!!!

Jake and his team did a wonderful job replacing the roof and siding for my home. Exceptional quality service and response time. Jake made the entire process go smoothly with the insurance company. His team made short work of the repairs and were done sooner than anticipated. I highly recommend Gold Star Contracting!

I would definitely recommend Gold Star Contracting for your roofing/siding needs. Jake and his team did a fantastic job on our house! He communicated almost every day and returned all our calls promptly. He also worked with our Insurance Company directly so we did not have to have the hassle.
He ensured all our questions and concerns were answered and went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. When I had concerns about the new siding and trim color matching the old, Jake went above and beyond in finding the old color to ensure a perfect match! All work was completed timely and on schedule. He came back to ensure the job was completed to our satisfaction and to see if we had any additional concerns or questions. Jake and his team were very courteous and professional. Would hire them again for this type of work.

The GoldStar team did a fantastic job replacing my shingles. They estimated possibly two days to finish my fairly large roof; they completed it in one day!

They were very professional, and were in constant contact with me at every stage of the job, they kept me well informed.

When the job was finished, the clean-up was thorough. Not a scrap was left in my yard. They definitely get a gold star (five in fact) from me.

We recently had our house and garage sided by Gold Star Contracting. Jake and his crew did a wonderful job. The customer service of this company was exemplary. Jake followed up on all the details. When he said something was going to be done, it was done and on time. Jake's crew worked hard even when Jake was not here. Jake told us the job would take four days. They completed it in 2 1/2 days. We would recommend them in a heart beat. Even the clean-up was fast and efficient. Gold Star Contracting is definitely a 5 star company!

Frank and his team were very easy to work with. Very thorough and professional. Quick response to any and all questions or concerns. They did a great job and we are very happy with our new roof!

Gold Star handled the roof on both my house and garage. I called them up late February and with the mild temps, they were able to get out to my house in a couple weeks. Work started early AM and was complete by early afternoon.
They were super easy to work with. Final price was within a couple hundred dollars of the quote. The additional cost due to some decking that needed to be replaced. Would happily recommend them to anyone.

Gold Star Contracting replaced the roof on our home and they did an outstanding job from beginning to end.

I was getting several estimates and wasn’t able to meet Jake for our initial consult because of traffic, so he did the consult by phone. He even jumped onto the roof and placed temporary patches up so we wouldn’t get any more damage if it rained. This was before we had even hired him.

After reviewing the packet he left and speaking to Jake on the phone it was a no brainer to choose Gold Star.

Our insurance put up many barriers to discourage our claim for weather damage, and Jake carefully explained the process of submitting (and re-submitting) our claim, what questions to ask, and how to follow-up to get the settlement we were entitled to. It took some time, but the insurance eventually paid for replacing the roof.

As soon as it was approved, Gold Star ordered the shingles and finalized the date for installation which was in about 10-days. The Gold Star crew arrived at the crack of dawn, worked all day in the hot sun, and did a beautiful job. The crew was incredibly professional and considerate. They did an amazing job of cleaning up before they left, and we never found a single nail or piece of debris in the yard. I was really worried about this because we have kids and pets that could get hurt stepping on nails. I appreciate their attention to detail and the care they took in protecting my home during the construction process.

My new roof looks fantastic, and I have received numerous compliments from my neighbors on the craftsmanship. I highly recommend Gold Star Construction to anyone in need of roofing services. Their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to customer satisfaction are truly unmatched. Don't hesitate to give them a call for all your exterior home construction and roofing needs.

Our roof was damaged by hail and needed to be replaced. We hired Jake and his crew and I'm glad we did. I couldn't believe how prompt they were. It started with Jake coming to our home and assessing the damage. His knowledge and expertise made our decision simple and easy. He pointed out items that needed to be repaired or replaced that were missed by the insurance adjuster. He helped us pick out the colors that added value and curb appeal to our home. I have since recommended Jake and Gold Star to our neighbors and friends because I know they would provide the same quality and efficiency as they did for us. If you are looking for a professional that knows the business, is prompt and reliable, don't think twice about contacting them. Thanks Jake.

His crew worked fast and did quality work and clean up! We also had gutters installed. Jake did an excellent job coordinating that has well. I would definitely recommend Gold Star Contracting!

I needed my roof done within 6 weeks due to my insurance’s request. Jake was able to accommodate this timeframe as well as offering a competitive price compared to other local competitors. The work was started and completed within a day.

Jake and his team are amazing!
They put a new roof on our house in 2021 and we couldn’t be happier. Jump forward to 2023, and we needed to re-side our entire home.
There was no question who is going to do it.
Everyone at Gold Star is so easy to work with and pay extra attention to detail. Everything was done on time and precise.
Even the electrical inspector commented on what a great job they did!
I highly recommend Gold Star Contracting to anyone who will listen.
