These guys are truly amazing! Always fast, always friendly, top notch service. I cannot say enough good things about them. They treat you right and have great rates, I will never use anyone else! I've had them out twice to clean bathtub drain and once to clean main sewer line.

The responsiveness of Alto on a Saturday when we had tree roots in our main sewer line was amazing. Rick was at our house in less than an hour and had the problem solved within a couple of hours. I have their card on my fridge for future issues.

We were having issues with a pipe backing up, and the tech identified it as a Main Sewer Line issue. He was very courteous and respectful, and given COVID, wore PPE at our request. After the job was complete, there was quite a mess behind, and he didn't leave until it was all cleaned up, making sure our home was in better condition than when he arrived! Above and beyond, highly recommend their services.

Natalie was the dispatcher answering the phone. Very professional and said she would send someone out right away. I called at 9:55 and had someone at the house in 1/2 hour. Cody was who came out. My main drain had clogged and backed up into the utility sink. Not a pretty job but he was professional and got everything taken care of. I thought the price was fair for the job and there is a 6 month guarantee. I appreciated that he was clear about the steps he was taking also.

Used Alto through the home warranty. Staff were professional, prompt, and very helpful! Took care of the clogged sink the same day the request was put in.

Rick was amazing! Very knowledgeable and professional. Did not try to sell my on services I didn't need and gave great advise for continued maintenance. Would 10/10 recommend and will use them for all future services.

Amazing. I called at 11:00pm following a holiday week. Phone answered right away by a lovely woman, who had a plumber call us in less than 5 minutes. Steve was to our home and started working in less than 20 minutes. He knew his stuff, so friendly, and fixed our problem right away. Highly recommend.

I called Alto Sewer Service to clear a blocked pipe to our septic system. They were nice on the phone and came out promptly, Rick, the technician, seemed pleasant and got to work. He was not able to clear the obstruction and mentioned we may need to hire a plumber to take out sheetrock and modify some of our waste pipes to accommodate a clean out entrance and that he could not do anything more until that was complete. When I had made the appointment, I was told that the cost would be $165.00. He worked from 3:00 to 3:50 and the bill was $225.00, without fixing our problem. The next day a plumber stopped by and said that Rick neglected to take the cover off the drain to reveal the clean out. The plumber had the pipe cleared and charged a lot less to really clear the clog. I feel that Alto misrepresented their service and I emailed Mike, the owner to correct the situation on September 24th, 2022. To date, I have not heard back from him. I will never refer any business their way. I feel like they seem nice, but are liars, cheaters, and stealers. Stay way away from this organization. Mike now has left a message for me, but doesn’t answer the phone or call me back.

Thanks Alto Sewer for sending Frank to my house.

Dylan was an absolute hero. That kid came to an old lady's rescue when her sewer backed spewing toilet paper and waste. He worked tirelessly for over five hours and wouldn't give up until he got the clog. He called his friend and colleague to help with the final push. Kudos to your company and your exemplary employees. Thanks so much.

Excellent service. They cleared the drains in our shop for us and a couple weeks later the drains were plugged again. We never assumed that Alto hadn't done a good job, we just figured the drains were full of junk and may need service a couple of times before they were clear. Alto took care of it for us at no charge simply because they wanted to make sure we were taken care of! Service like this is hard to find, special thanks to Tony for coming out and taking care of us - he has a great positive attitude and is very respectful and professional.

Outstanding service and problem resolution. Our sewer line backed up and they arrived promptly, identified the issue, and cleaned it out. The technician was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. What was an unpleasant problem turned into a great experience. Thank you Alto!

Dylan came to our house last night and helped fix the broken seal under our toilet. He was very friendly and allowed my husband to watch him and learn. He quickly solved and fixed the problem. He had a great attitude and came for an odd time appointment from 4-8pm. We highly recommend Dylan and this company for plumbing repairs! Thank you Dylan.

On 4/15, we had an Alto technician come to out to clean out our blocked main line vie the floor drain next to our washer, as other companies have done since we bought the house in 2009. In retrospect, we should have questioned the first the when he only got to "60 to 70 feet" per his notes on the invoice, when the full line is a minimum of 100 feet. We paid $250 with a 30 day "warranty".

On 4/19, after a shower and running a load of laundry, the floor drain (again, connected to the main line within 2 feet) led to water again in the basement. I called Alto dispatch, told them what happened, and they said a tech would be out soon.

I have never felt so unsafe with a tech before.

The tech who came that day asked me if I was HOME ALONE right away. I immediately called my husband and had him on speakerphone for the rest of this.

The tech told me, after running water for 10 minutes that I was faking the backup (there was water on the floor!!!!). He was so aggressive and so awful and I just kept asking him to leave. He refused. He only left after his "supervisor" was put on speakerphone with me and him. I should have called the police in retrospect.

Not only was the first tech lazy ( We have previous work orders that explicitly show how Alto was incompetent), but they sent a tech into my home who threatened me.

It took a call that day to another company who actually could do their job to get the line cleaned out. Alto owes us money.

Be careful. Not only did they not fix the line the first time, they sent a tech the second time who harassed and threatened a mom.

Alto was referred to me by another customer. So I set up appointment, I'm gonna cut to the chase. I was charged $250 for the first 90 mins and $175 per hour after, and I was told it would be $2 per additional foot to run the snake beyond 100 feet. He ran the snake an additional 50 feet. I paid almost $800. I had to call another company out to actually clear out the wipes stuck in the drain. They charged $198 and actually unclogged the drain.
I spoke with the person that referred me to Alto, whose opinion I trust because he is knowledgeable, I explained to him what Rick did and what he charged me...he couldn't believe it and was not happy as that's not what Alto even charges for multi dwelling plumbing issues.
I'm told they get commission..I guess being a woman that doesn't know much about plumbing, Rick decided I would be his target that day.
The person that referred me is going to try and help me recoup some of the money back, he felt really bad, and has not had this type of experience(work or price) with Alto before, and knows who Rick is.
All it takes is 1 person/employee to give a business a bad reputation.
Due to the experience I had with Alto, I will not recommend this company, and I advised the person that referred me(even though he meant well) not to refer them.

When we purchased of our home this past summer, the previous owners sweetened the deal with a one-year paid home warranty – which fortunately has gone relatively unused. That is, until we saw water backing up coming from the drain in our basement. Upon putting in the service request, we were paired with Alto Sewer Service. For the most part, the experience with Alto Sewer was standard, and if I had not been met with the lack of communication today, I would’ve most likely felt positive (well as positive as one can be about sewage) about the whole ordeal. Let’s get into it.

Having dealt with a service request through our home warranty before, I knew that it was unlikely that the assigned vendor would reach out within a few hours. When the issue was minor, I did not mind the delay. However, given the circumstance, I personally reached out to Alto within the hour of the assignment. To my luck, the office answered very quickly and was able to get a technician to come out within 4 or so hours on a Sunday!
The technician assigned to our home was knowledgeable, honest, and damn, did he try! He arrived late Sunday afternoon and after an hour or so of troubleshooting, kindly informed us of his assessment – a grease clog - and divulged that he did not have the correct tools for the job. Following up on his promise the evening prior, the technician arrived this morning and immediately got to work. The sounds alone from the basement proved that the technician was truly giving it his all. In the end, he was able to fix half of the problem – the clean-out drain to the street – but was unable to unclog the main line to the clean-out drain.

What stood out to me though was Mike, one I believe to be the owner, came out to next day and was able to clear the clog within a timely manner. I appreciate all the hard work from this company.

It is never fun to have a plugged or slow flowing drain. My basement bathroom sink was plugged. It had been draining slow. This morning it was PLUGGED! We send so many of our customers to Alto Sewer, so I knew who to contact. Alto dispatched Frank and he cleared the drain in short order. Great communication, clean work, and excellent results.

Call Alto Sewer if you have drain issues! I don't have a good photo to post, and who really wants to see photos of a clogged drain????

It's near impossible to get emergency service on Sunday, but fortunately I was referred to Alto Sewer Service. Not only was their technician Dylan, able to get to me promptly in SW Minneapolis, but he was very informative, pleasant, and the charge was less than what I expected.
I will definitely use them again, and can recommend to anyone with confidence to use their services.

Alto Sewer Services sent Devin out to our home on 2/5/25 for a blockage in our basement floor drain under our utility sink. He initially opened a capped pipe to drain the standing water by breaking off the cap as he broke his adjustable pliers and his pipe wrench was not working for the cap. The initial snake he brought in was too large to get into the floor drain so he was going to leave because he cleared the water by accessing the capped pipe. We asking him to clear the stoppage as that’s why we contacted our warranty company. After using a smaller snake he cleared the floor drain and attempted to find the source of the clog in the utility sink ask that wasn’t draining either. He opened the right basin trap side and was struggling with the left side. He inserted the pipe wrench inside the pipe and pulled the flange off the concrete basin. Immediately he started apologizing and said they would set up with the warranty company to have a plumber come out. We didn’t know he wasn’t a plumber AND they told me I *had* to sign a work authorization so he could work on the home. Well when the home warranty company, myself and husband spoke with Zach in dispatch with Alto he simply said that they weren’t liable as I signed a waiver. I wasn’t presented it as a waiver, also super fine print says they’re not liable for faulty plumbing or defective pipes. Not improper use of tools by their technicians breaking our pipes! After Zach said they weren’t liable he hung up and they won’t take further calls. I very much caution anyone from letting them work on your home.
