J & D are the best! We worked with them through several projects. We have had other projects done by different contractors, and those jobs do not measure up to J & D. The entire team is kind, dependable, honest, respectful, and treated my home like their own. Beautiful craftsmanship.

J&D remodeled the top floor of our house and added a bathroom. They were great to work with, as were all their subcontractors. Everything went very smoothly over the months long project and we were impressed with the scheduling of all the work and inspections and how there was very little downtime during the entire project. Would definitely hire them again!

J&D builders has done a fantastic job renovating our pink 1950s bathroom. The demo was well prepped and each individual subcontractors were very experienced and knowledgeable. The main project leaders, Jake and Jeff, were both great to work with. We will definitely pick J&D again for the next project in the future.

Our experience with J & D Builders was fantastic from start to finish, and we recommend them completely! We moved and remodeled the kitchen in our St Paul home, added a main floor bath, and mudroom. It was a fairly complicated project, but everyone at J & D and all of their subs did beautiful work! Our J & D project manager, Jake, made it a smooth and stress-free experience. We've done many building and remodeling projects over the years, and this was by far our best experience.

We chose J&D to put in a second floor bathroom because of the excellent work they did on our kitchen addition in 2016. We were not disappointed! We love everything about our new bathroom.
In addition to the bathroom, the workers (most of whom were the same workers from nine years ago) also completed a number of "handyman" type tasks, such as fixing the lock on the front door, re-grouting the backsplash in the kitchen, and reworking plumbing in the basement. Anything we asked them to do, they did.
We also liked the way J&D billed the job. We chose all of the fixtures and other materials before the final bid was made and contract signed so that J&D could give us the most accurate estimate possible. A price was given for every separate phase of the job (woodwork, plumbing, electrical, painting, etc.) If a price change was necessary, we were told what it was for and how much it cost. At the end of the project, J&D sent us the separate invoices for all of the materials and subcontractors. We knew exactly where our money went.
We highly recommend J&D Builders and would not hesitate to hire them in the future.

Best in Minnesota! From the estimation process to the final product, J&D Builders did an incredible job at every stage. They truly care about their customer and ensuring that you'll be happy with what you get done. We did a dining room remodel of our 1910 house including a built in bench and removing a built-in cabinent to replace it with a window. The final product feels like it was always there and fits perfectly with the house.

The quality and craftsmanship was also incredible. They matched all the existing trim and we talked extensively on the design to ensure we didn't lose the integrity of such an old home.

You maybe pay a tiny bit more than others, but you can be sure that what you're getting will be something that will last another 100 years. The whole crew were also all great people.
