Super Electric upgraded my service, panel, and rewired my house. I wished afterwards I hadn’t waited so long to have the work done. All work was completed according to the proposal, no surprises.

Where do I start he tried to tell my stepdad that I wanted my entire house wired with Cat-5 (LIE) and then charged me an additional $6K that was not in the bid. I don't even know what Cat-5 is so why would I request it? Then after he claimed to have completed the project I realized my infloor heat was not working nor did it ever work and he refused to come back just to take a look at it and lied in court saying he tried to fix it. He roughed in my brothers kitchen remodel and installed a single new outlet in the family room at that same time, the rough in was paid for in full and there was not one mention of any additional charges for the family room outlet. When he returned 3 months later to finish the job he charged another $380 for the same outlet. The moment he saw where my step dad lived his prices went up 50%!! This is not in retaliation for any business my step dad has conducted with this man, this is in direct correlation to the work he has done for me and my brother both jobs of which he rip us off in extreme fashion. He is a scammer. Run away from this loser!

I need to respond to the complete lies that are listed below. My step dad has been in business for over 18 years building million dollar homes in St. Louis Park and Edina and has never ran into a crook such as John. Anytime John needed a check he got one. First of all not one of these cases was won in court so that is a COMPLETE and utter fabrication. The job that is over a year passed due is from a customer who contracted my step to do work in the amount of $700K and she has not paid almost 50% of the work completed (lawsuit), she is the crook not my step dad. Every customer has the right to pay subcontractors directly and every sub contractor has the right to lien the customers property for non-payment, all options John had the right to exercise but he chose not to. He may have not gotten paid for that job but guess what neither did my step dad!! In regards to my brother's so called $160 outlet, I have the invoice in front of me and it has a price tag of $380, at NO TIME WHATSOEVER was it ever requested to be on a separate circuit and guess what? That outlet IS NOT on its own circuit, I can go into my brother's basement and flip the breaker for the old existing outlets in the family room and guess which one is also tied to that breaker??? Bingo the same outlet!! AND YOU ABSOLUTELY WERE PAID FOR THIS OUTLET so you are completely lying, I have a copy of the cashed checks to prove it so stop with your BS sob story. No one ever tried to rip you off, in fact it was the complete opposite. So John at the end of my project when you handed my step dad a $6K bill that was above and beyond the bid, did you or did you not tell him that I specifically requested the house be wired with CAT 5?? And now you are saying my step dad requested it?? Which is it John, make up your mind. Also, the in floor heat has never worked in my home and still does not to this day. Do you not warranty your work John?? And the pending case he is talking about where my step dad supposedly owes him $7K, guess what the customer opted to pay you direct buddy per his legal rights, that money has never been paid to my step dad and is to be paid by the customer. The customer in this case is a crook and withholding $30K from my step dad and $7K from John all for work that was IN THE CONTRACT and completed. One of the state's largest contractors was ordered by the court to review the work that was completed and he stated it was one of the nicest remodels he had ever seen and tried to hire my step dad on the spot. Good luck getting paid by this guy John cause all of the money you think my step dad owes you is actually owed to you by the customer who is withholding. The customer received all of his money from the insurance company so he is blatantly trying to rip us off and you will get screwed in the end but that'll be your problem when the dust settles, Good Luck!

Had Super Electric rewire our 97 year old house. Work was on time, professional, and he respected all the historical details in the house. Site was cleaned up after every day of work. I highly recommend him for any and all electrical work on your house.

We needed our main electric box moved from the back porch to the basement. We have an old house and I'm sure it was tricky to work with what we have. Jon completed the job with ease and professionalism. We are very pleased with the quality of the work he did and we felt comfortable having him working at our home! Highlty recommended !!

Super Electric what can I say but Jon was great when I first called him, I had already had an estimate done and I was calling for a second opinion and based on what I told him over the phone he beat the first estimate by $400 dollars, I was skeptical and asked how can you say that without seeing it first. Jon assured me he had done that kind of work many times but he would not do anything without giving me a written estimate first. So we set up a time and he came out and accessed the situation. Now I need everyone to understand I am no expert and I was depending on what Jon was going to say and if he was going to be comparable to my last estimate. I also want everyone to know that I described to Jon the work that I thought I needed based on my 1st estimate. I have to say that because what I described to Jon he could have easily written his estimate to say whatever he wanted and as long as it was comparable or lower than my last estimate, I would have went with whatever he had said and would have had the feeling that he saved me some money. So getting to the point, not only did not take advantage of my family and I but surprisingly he saved us a minimum of 2 grand yes $2000. I am very grateful that someone like Jon and Super Electric exists. My problem was solved and again I just want to say Thank you Jon very much appreciated !!!

Had a great experience working with Jon on a kitchen remodel along with some miscellaneous work throughout our house. He helped us improve on our original plan and was super clear and accommodating throughout the process.

Wiring for a major kitchen remodel in an 1890 house required some ingenuity and creativity. Jon and his crew did a superlative job planning, communicating and providing attention to detail… with wonderful results. I highly recommend Super Electric.

Jon did a great job on fixing some electrial issues on my mom's house. He was very curtious and pleasant to work with. He had a great sense of humor. Jon completed the work in one day and I was very pleased with his work. I will definitley recommed Jon to others who are looking for an electrician. Great Job Jon!

I sent an email to the owner of super electric ( Jon) extremely late one evening last week. John did get ahold of me the following day and we met at the home that afternoon John was very knowledgeable and was able to put a estimate together. I did check his availability and he was out until the first week in March I did have a second electrician come out that same day to give me a second estimate the second electrician was able to get me in a little bit quicker.I think John would have done an exceptional job.

A wonderful experience start to finish. We needed wiring done for ceiling fan and overhead lights installation in a new sun room. Jon and his team arrived on time, performed the work and cleaned up. Would highly recommend them.

Jon replaced an old circuit breaker panel in my basement that was out of conformance. He was professional and clean and meticulous. After replacing my old circuit panel during his checkout he found an old wall mount outlet that wasn’t grounded it was a saftey hazard. I could not recommend anyone as highly as Jon. When the inspector came to check out his work he passed with flying colors. If I ever need any electrical work done I will call Jon.

We hired Jon to update from fuses to breakers, convert from overhead to underground service, install and connect service to an outdoor spa, and install a new outdoor light fixture and GFI outlet. We located Jon on Angie's List. After having him and a couple other electricians out for estimates, he was not only the most reasonably priced but made us aware of all updates needed to meet code and asked all the right questions to ensure the job met our expectations. The work was completed on time as promised, working with our busy schedules. He also managed through a few unexpected hiccups professionally and with the level of detail we hoped for. His Journeyman was equally professional. When completed they cleaned up after themselves each day. When the time comes we will call Jon again, and you should too. As for the reviewer's post that Jon did not return a call I can not see that happening. Jon was always quick to return our calls and emails and make occasion to answer the phone on our job.

We had Super Electric install the electric hookup for our hot tub and would recommend to anyone needing electrical work. Jon was able to work with our schedule and maneuver around the delivery of the hot tub, which was delayed due to complications with the site. City electrical inspector said that the electrician did good work. Would definitely hire again for any electrical work needed.

Years ago, Super Electric did all the electrical for a big remodel in SW Minneapolis. I just recently moved back to St Paul, and Jon was the first person I called when I needed an EV charger installed in the garage. He and Steve are so easy to work with! And any job, big or little, is always done right

We were remodeling our kitchen and we called Jon gave us an estimate to wire a microwave, dishwasher and garbage disposal and under cabinet lighting. After the cabinets were installed I called him and asked to see the undercabinet lighting he recommended. He made an extra trip and left one of the units. We scheduled the work to be done in a couple weeks and Jon and his employee (sorry, can't recall his name) completed it in less than one day. The electrical inspector came today and gave the work a thumbs up!!! Thanks!

Super Electric rewired the knob and tube on my main floor. They did ~13 outlets and 7 light fixtures, plus added some recessed lighting in my living and dining rooms.

The lighting looks great and they did a good job making minimal cuts into the plaster walls and ceiling. Patching up shouldn't be too bad.

The inspector had no concerns with their work.

I got 3 bids for this job since it was fairly large, and their price was very fair.

We hired Jon to rewire our kitchen during our remodel project. We found him highly rated on Angie's List with very good reviews. We had called a couple of other electrial contractors but the big difference was, when we called Super Electric to come to give us a bid, Jon came out promptly and was right on time. Everybody else seemed bothered that we called. Jon's bid seemed fair and reasonable and we decided not to pursue any other bids. When that agreed date & time for Super Electric to start, I looked out the window early and Jon & Steve were out on the street waiting for that start time. They removed the old wiring, roughed in the new wiring and cleaned up the area, probably cleaner than it was when they started. What really impressed me was that the electrical inspector was very fimiliar with Super Electric's work and stated that Jon was one of the last true craftsman of his profession. Jon and Steve just finished up installing the new light fixtures (ceiling & under cabinet), outlets and switches. Jon showed up a little early so he could show the different colors of wall plates & outlets to choose from to best match up to the tiled backsplash, which was really nice that he had those options available. When they were finished, they again cleaned up after themselves better than it was. If we ever have the need for an electrician again, I will be calling Super Electric. I highly recommend them!

Absolutely fantastic. We recently had Super Electric do a big job on our older home in St. Paul that consisted of moving and replacing the electric panel, replacing old K&T wiring, installing new outlets, etc. They were always on time, honest, didn't "up charge" and ultimately did a fantastic job. They even went above and beyond when the situation called for it and did not charge extra. We were lucky to have found them and would use them again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

Jon was able to fit in our repair sooner than we expected. His crew was efficient and the quality of the work passed muster with the City's building inspector. Super Electric has my recommendation.
