I have used Super Electric a number of times now. Installing new lights, moving outlets, put in a new electric panel, and most recently rewiring my basement, adding lights and outlets.

John and his team are always on time, gracious in their service and generous with ideas and help.

Pricing is fair and their results are excellent. I highly recommend them and will continue to use them for all my electrical needs. If you are looking for an electrician - you won't be disappointed.

I highly recommend Jon and his team at Super Electric. The estimate was competitive and even gave me an option to bring the price down (I am happy I declined the offer and had him do the work)! They showed up when they said they would and did fantastic work. I feel really good about the engagement and the value Jon and his team provided. I can now enjoy the powered-up man cave!

Jon & his team helped me out with a project in the fall of 2021. We needed 3 ceiling fans/lights installed, a new outlet above my fireplace for a TV where they had to carefully cut through the wall to run a new line from another outlet, install a new panel, fix a few outlets & install/ upgrade some outdoor outlets, etc. They were knowledgeable, courteous, responsive, professional, had very reasonable estimates (the same as the final costs), cleaned up any related "mess," & completed the full project in a timely manner &within their stated timeframe. We are still happy with the results 6+ months later. I would definitely use them again & recommend their services.

Jon did a great job adding new outlets, installing under cabinet lighting, surge protector, and fixing a problem light switch. Jon pointed out a number of "not to code" issues and fixed them for us; very knowledgeable . Jon responded to all my email inquiries, did the work as scheduled, and followed-up after the job. I have hired Jon twice now and both times was extremely pleased with his professionalism and his work. Both times he was right on time when he said he would be. I had some old-fashioned recessed light fixtures that I needed switched out for some new ones, but the ones they make now are not the same size, and I couldn't figure out how to make them fit. Jon came up with a creative solution that worked beautifully. I also needed some new outlets on the kitchen backsplash, so they had to be cut into existing tile. The job was done without cracking any of the tiles and looks great. They used drop cloths everywhere and cleaned up good after they were finished, too. I would definitely recommend Super Electric.

We hired Super Electric to convert our old fuse box to circuit breakers and to do some various other electrical work in our house. I contacted three highly rated electricians for bids, and of these Super Electric had the best price.

I am very happy with the work they did and very glad I hired them. The owner, Jon, was polite, professional, and clearly very experienced. The work was done exactly as described, fuses/switches place exactly where I wanted, etc. The new circuit panel is very neatly and cleanly labeled, which is so nice after living with our 100 year old fuse box with a mess of poorly labeled circuits. In addition to the circuit panel, they installed a 3-way switch for our kitchen light, repaired a stairway 3-way switch which wasn't functioning, installed a programmable switch for our porch light, and installed a couple other new circuits and outlets. Everything was well done. They even deducted $75 from my final bill because one of the work items took less time than they originally estimated. I really appreciated that honesty and fairness!

Overall I am 100% satisfied with the experience and will definitely be contacting Super Electric the next time I am in need of electrical work.

I’ve used Super Electric for several jobs now, first when I owned a 1920’s house in Saint Paul and again now that I own a 1950’s house in Minneapolis. What I like about working with them is some electricians will tell you ‘no it can’t be done’ and super electric will out line options, and also offer helpful suggestions. For example, I wanted a ceiling light in the walk in closet of my Saint Paul house. A different electrician told me it wasn’t possible because the closet was right under the eaves. Super electric was able to put in a thin LED and wire a switch. Another time I was having a peninsula installed in the kitchen and Super Electric recommended I get an outlet installed in the end of the peninsula. It’s not a particularly expensive job but it was so incredibly useful to have an outlet there later.

Super Electric is excellent and I highly recommend them for any electrical needs. They were professional and kind during the initial quote and at every step of the installation process. I started with a mix of knob & tube and crudely installed updates, and Super Electric rewired the entire house, upgraded my panel and service, installed new outlets & lights, and set me up for any future projects in my 1920s home. The two folks that worked on my home left it as clean if not cleaner than when they came! Worked quickly and had great communication.

We hired Super Electric to complete an Electrical Panel replacement, rewire a bathroom, install a new outlet, replace 3 light fixtures, & hardwire 3 smoke/CO2 detectors. I called Jon for an estimate & he was out to my home the very next day. He evaluated the work to be completed and gave an estimate on the spot. I accepted the agreement the next day and the work was scheduled to be complete within a couple weeks. Jon & Steve arrive exactly when they said they would. They completed the work in 2 days. The quality of work was top notch. The home was kept clean with drop cloths & cleaned up very well after each project. During the work, we had an additional light fixture replace and they ended up completing more work then planned in the bathroom. Jon could have charged more for this but didn't, he stuck to his original quote. Upon final inspection, the city inspector had nothing but positive comments about Super Electric & told us right away that we hired a good contractor. We highly recommend Super Electric and will use them again for future electrical work.

Phenomenal! I initially hired Super Electric to work on new wiring for an addition to our turn-of-the-century craftsman. Right away, I knew we had the right electricians for the job. Super Electric is an expert at dealing with the peculiarities of old houses. Jon and his team were always on time and friendly, and they made the project a true partnership.

I was so impressed we expanded the scope to a complete rewire to remediate our old knob-and-tube and add additional lighting to the existing home. I couldn't be happier with the results!

Working with Jon and his electricians was an absolute pleasure. I needed to rewire my 1927 house to get rid of the knob and tube wiring. I called a couple other local companies and they didn’t seem too thrilled to tackle such a job. Jon got a hold of me within a few minutes of reaching out to him and was able to give me an estimate within a day or two. He was extremely thorough in looking over my house, made sure all the fixes & additions were noted, and that I understood the plan of attack and estimate. His electricians were able to start the next week and they arrived on time every morning. It only took five days to rewire my house - that blew my mind! They took care and were extremely creative when needing to go through my plaster walls and ceiling - only a couple holes around the house when it absolutely couldn’t be avoided. When I’d get home from work every day, the house was spotless. They even found some old letters from 1929 in my attic and left them out for me to read. Jon and his team really know their stuff and provide a great customer experience. The estimate was reasonable and only a few tweaks were needed at the end due to some unexpected fixes (a bathroom fan motor that was burnt out and no longer made was fully replaced). If you want the job done correctly, this is the company!

John and his crew did an amazing job on a huge job in a home that we had bought in the Highland Park area that needed a ton of electrical work that was not expected. It all started with needing an extra outlet for an AC unit. It turned out the home wasn’t even up to code being only at 60 amps versus the required 100. John gave me a fair price and he and his crew did excellent work. We will definitely be using him again! Highly recommend!

In preparation for a kitchen remodel I needed to have an outlet added to my kitchen. I also had a situation where my washer and drier were blowing the circuit all the time and I wanted to change up some ceiling fans. I was shocked at how low the estimate was and immediately decided to go with Jon and his team. They were on time, did great work that I am satisfied with, and even were able to fix the cut-rate recessed lighting the previous owners had installed. He was able to add the recessed lighting part the day they came out to do the work as we had not discussed at the initial visit. They worked quickly and were pleasant to have around the house. They did a nice job of cleaning up before they left. I will definitely be calling them again for any electrical work I need done.

We just purchased a 1950s home this winter and wanted some small updates: bedrooms outlets grounded, a few GFCI updates on outdoor and basement outlets, etc. Jon's estimate was super reasonable and he was thorough when checking things out. When he came back to drop his team off, they were able to add in updating the wiring for a dishwasher install thanks to Jon noticing we had a dishwasher waiting for install and asking about its wiring situation (previous 2002 dishwasher was hardwired). The team was great -- super personable, clean, and quick. My hope, as always with house projects, is that I won't have to call them again (lol), but I definitely will call Super Electric!

We had saved up a big list of electrical projects, and Jon and Steve were great to work with - on time, excellent work, cleaned up after - and we are very happy with all the new/upgraded lights, outlets and stove. Our house was built in 1912, so "surprises' often come up when we have work done, and they just handled everything so smoothly - definitely our go-to for electrical work!

OK, I was just the dad handling logistics for a house my kids bought while living abroad. They needed to have knob & tube replaced in about half of their 100-year-old home. What I said to Jon was, “Everything seems great to me and I am super impressed by how few holes there are in the [old-time lath & plaster] walls & ceilings. Your guys were very professional and did a good job keeping me informed.” I still feel this way and if -- as seems inevitable -- we need work done in our own 110+-year old house, I will be sure to reach out to Jon!

I worked with Super Electric to rewire my whole house (replace all knob and tube) as well as to upgrade my panel and add outlets to support all electric appliances instead of gas. I had a wonderful experience and recommend them wholeheartedly. Communication was prompt, they showed up on schedule, they worked hard, and they did an outstanding job cleaning up after their work each day. I ended up with very minimal patching to do (way less than expected), as they were creative and effective at finding solutions with my old, quirky house. They came in right at their estimate, and they were very reasonable compared to other bids I got. They were also very considerate of my request to wear masks, which I appreciated, and just generally great folks to have in my space—I felt very comfortable with them here. Note that they don’t do small jobs or emergencies—big jobs only. EDIT: please see the owner’s response below, re: smaller jobs. Good to know!

We had an exceptional experience working with Jon and his team during our home remodel. They installed new ceiling lighting across 3 bedrooms, changed all switches and installed new light fixtures around the home (and went above and beyond when we had additional requests, including fixing a Chandelier that wasn't part of the project). Jon made some great suggestions on our kitchen lighting, especially the lights under the cabinets. Overall a wonderful experience and we look forward to working with Super Electric again.
